if im remembering correctly it gets deeper than that, and each item that can move can create a sound alien can pick up on depending on the object and what its on. so if you're silent behind him and accidently kick a can...well game over
@@nickdibiase3152 Brilliant game i tell ya! If we could get part 2 for this game I'm sure a lot of us would want to play it. Tweak the graphics up a bit, and remodel the alien's movements, or possibly add a feature where it can turn invisible and you'd get a new tool that you'd use to scan for heat signatures to locate the alien? Imagine the tension during gameplay, knowing it could be right behind you and you'd look back and see nothing, but once you pull out the "Thermal tracker" it would show critical readings, and your character would get killed.😂
@@oratiletamalah4765 There is actually a creature like that in the (shared) universe of the Xeno. The Yautja, or more commonly known as the Predator. Those aholes can turn invisible, mimic voices and are overall just really great to be not in the same room with if you're not a Yautja yourself.
Imagine getting a game like Alien Isolation but not only is there a Xeno hive to contend with, but halfway through a Predator hunting party shows up as well - taking out both Xenos and surviving humans alike.
Someone mentioned that you can actually step on its tail and it will react 😂
@@thefoosterchannel behaviour wise they coded a pair of "eyes" in the back of the Xeno"s head, which is probably what it responds to if you step on its tail.
It basically can see behind itself to prevent players cheesing the Xeno by crouch-stalking it from behind c:
The fact that this game still scares me, despite completing it a multitude of times, and screaming and running away like a baby, seeing Fooster play it, makes me want to play it once more.

@@TheSecretWorldRules there actually was a follow up called Alien Blackout but it was a terrible FNAF style IOS game sadly but it did have Amanda as the main character who is the one behind the monitors in a security booth trying to guide other survivors to safety

is after contacted by another woman and go together to another space base of WY where surprise surprise, everyone is dead cz of xeno experiments. However it seems that those experiments have gotten something out since now the androids now use xeno blood based guns (yeah, they shoot acid now lmfao)
they destroy the ship against a planet and fall along it in the the planet crashing as an asteroid (yeah, I meant it, they both fall face hard into a planet and didn't burn to a crisp). After that the story gets way more complicated as they get involved into a civil war then turned into a war against alien queens, they save a guy. they explode the place and amanda seeminglhy dies but then appears years later and gets into another fight against not one but three queens lol. I don't really like much the action side on the story, gets way too unrealistic. I prefer to stick with the horror side :3
Alien roque incursion is a new upcomming game wich the devs took note and inspiration from alien isolation so maybe that will be a good follow-up?
Alien isolation will not have one sadly as the game is bought over by another company wich doesnt allow anyone to make a part 2:/

Total there are 7 DLC List.
- Alien: Isolation - Crew Expendable : Taking place soon after Brett is killed by the Alien aboard the Nostromo, players assume the role of either Ripley, Dallas or Parker as they attempt to flush the creature into the Nostromo's airlock.
- Alien: Isolation - Last Survivor : The second bonus level, Last Survivor, was originally exclusive to the Ripley Edition of the game, only available from select retailers. It takes place immediately after Parker and Lambert have been killed by the Alien. In it, players take control of Ripley, now alone aboard the Nostromo, as she must activate the ship's self destruct system and flee before it detonates, all while being stalked by the Alien.
- Corporate Lockdown :
Allows you to play as Seegson executive Ransome as he attempts to escape from Sevastopol when the Alien begins slaughtering its inhabitants.
- Trauma :
You will be Dr. Lingard as she seeks to destroy the research she conducted on the Xenomorph, lest it fall into the wrong hands. Along the way, she must collect supplies for her camp, which houses many survivors in desperate need.
- Safe Haven :
You'll take on the role of Hughes and must venture out of the only safe room on Sevastopol to find supplies.
- Lost Contact :
You will play as Axel, as you explore the Lorenz Private Wards and the S6 Emergency Power Plant. As you work to complete your mission you have to evade other humans, hostile Working Joes, and the Alien.
- The Trigger :
Taking the role of Ricardo, players must help to set explosive traps for the Alien across Sevastopol Station.

@@fritzdrybeam I mean you can say this lmao i'm not saying there aren't games that their "dlc" was something that should of been in the original campaign. But this story till the start to end, well ends lol. These other dlc are like additional stuff that just add to it.

Yes, they got all of the original actors for this DLC (and parts of the regular game!) with the exception of Ash (Ian Holm) as he was too ill (he passed from Parkinsons a few years ago). You can just feel the love and admiration in every aspect of this game, so I love watching it. They could have skimped on this DLC since they used so much of the Nostromo's design for the regular game, but like you noticed, they added all these extra details that are straight out of Alien. I still hold out hope for an Alien Isolation 2 from Creative Assembly, but it seems pretty unlikely now.

I haven’t played the game myself (was scared shitless when I saw it as a child😅), so I guess it’s a stupid question, but why not just flame it? Why run and hide?
@@user-mn9ol6pc3r it’s highly adaptable, meaning it can develop resistance and immunity to various tricks employed by the player.
Also, the flame ammunition provided by the game isn’t exactly abundant( especially compared to the main game). Also, fear factor is really messed up. Removes the ability to think appropriately.
The most incredible part of this DLC is they got all of the actors from the actual movie to voice their characters.
Fooster does not even need the alien anymore he would love just running around on the ship looking for Easter eggs and bathing in the nostalgia. 😂

They definitely need to bring out a sequel for this game. For being 10 years old it's phenomenal with the detail and the work around puzzles avoiding the ai and the aliens.
I still have a little hope... maybe something has been in development for a while... and now that the new alien film is coming to the cinema... maybe we'll get a surprising announcement soon🤞

10 years later and this game still has some of the best sound design I've heard. Also, I've never noticed until now that the Xeno has 6 fingers.

Last Survivor have a far bigger map it allows “hide and seek” strategy works like charm. In CE once you accomplish earlier task you will find yourself being trapped and alien sniffing outside while the escape route is limited and narrow

This game is still the best and such an old title. The attention to detail is second to none.
This play through was such a fun and tense time, it was great. I am sure most of you know but when they programmed the movements of the Alien they gave it a 'learning' ability, so it remembers your movement habits. Great stuff to watch and one title that never gets boring. A classic. I loved the 'calm' way that you said 'I'll just look around here first', when the Alien was just around the corner. Loved it.

That's almost 80 years ago now but it doesn't mean its ok to spoil the film for someone who say was born in 2000 and might enjoy watching it.
Several reaction channels are based around a fan showing films to someone who hasn't seen something before. Yes there's a point where you don't need to avoid spoiling things as heavily but it can still be courtesy to give someone a heads up that something can spoil things e.g. watching scream before watching other horror films can spoil things from them.

YES!!!!!! More Fooster and Alien Isolation!! I've only started watching the video and OMIGOSH, they got the likeness of each character down awesomely! After watching you play all of the Alien Isolation video's you have uploaded so far, I want to go and rewatch all of the Alien/s movies! LOL I am literally sitting here with the HUGEST cheesiest grin on my face seeing all of the different characters. Ok, I have to stop commenting and get back to watching! I didn't even realize this DLC was even available. I need to go check out the rest.
UPDATE: OH HAVE MERCY!!! I literally (and I'm not joking here) had to throw both hands over my mouth in order to not scream and scare the fur off of my little puppers lol. I know you all will know at what point that happened.
I don't know if Fooster has VR, but the VR mod for this game puts it to another level of frightening.. sorry to suggest such a thing i really do care for your health and wellbeing Fooster but it would be so cool to watch. If you do, just pack a spare pair of pants :)
It is indeed a mod, however what it's doing is re-enabling code that exists in the game already. Back even before the Vive and the Rift, when they were making this game, they were experimenting with VR for it. I wish they had finished the native support!
That said, Survios, the developer who made Raw Data and Electronauts, is making Alien: Rogue Incursion, a MADE FOR VR Alien game, out this fall on PSVR2 and Steam VR!

Just saw Alien: Romulus and it's got me craving this game and content about it. So cool to see someone playing the DLC! I know I'm a month late to the party but the Xeno sticks to you worse than its hardest difficulty in the campaign in this scenario. The AI is basically tweaked to give it some of its most aggressive behaviour. Was a treat seeing you navigate it!
Yes! It's hard to stay away from something so horrifying I love how this dlc ties into the movie. Them locking the ship down after Brett's death. And think it's all original voice actors too. The need to finish Amanda's story. ... how did she survive? Love your stuff bro!
By far one of the best games ever. I've never been nearly as tense and panicked in any other game and the graphics were simply outstanding for the time.

I'm in the middle of playing this game (full story) for the first time. Firstly, I regret not picking it up back in 2014. Secondly, this is undoubtedly one of the most scary video games I've ever played. The tension, atmosphere, music and of course, the Xenomorph combine to make this a wonderfully crafted game.
I wholly understand why so many want a sequel to this game.
I think they might have had the original actors Sigourney Weaver, Yaphet Kotto, R.I.P and Tom Skerritt voice Ripley, Parker, and Dallas.
All the original actors, except Ian Holm, voiced their parts.
I learned the hard way that apparently holding out the motion tracker too long will also attract the Xenomorph (the beeping noise from the tracker is not as quiet as the developers would have you think lol) especially on the higher difficulties, not so much on the easiest difficulty but it can still happen lol
The legend back at it again. Tense for sure. But just imagine fooster and taco playing this together will be funny to watch

*Fooster,* the DLC 'Last Survivor' is also a Nostromo DLC that has you play solely as Ripley, playing out the last act from the first movie, immediately after Parker and Lambert die.
Personally, it's way more intense than 'Crew Expendable'.
There's also two DLCs called 'Safe Haven' & 'Lost Contact' that add a new mode called 'Salvage mode'. It's easily my favourite thing to revisit after finishing the campaign.
This round-based mode includes their own maps featuring two sections isolated from each other, with a central hub room between them that is your safe room.
There are 10 rounds that can be done in either room, with either room offering different rewards and challenges, with changing scenarios and environments as you progress. *It's amazing!!!*

I literally just bought this game. I had never played it and I played crew expendable about five hours ago. I was telling my wife I was literally sweating like I was out doing yardwork because it was so stressful. Going through the air vents with that damn thing after you such a fantastic game, we should demand a sequel.

Remember guys, Creative Assembly took 4 years to make AI, development began in 2010 and the game was out in 2014. To this days, Its still the best game we had based on the franchise. I love this game so much.

It’s much smaller and shorter, so the alien gains little from using them. So they actually are safer than most of the vents in the main game.
What I liked about this DLC here was that the developer took this whole segment directly from the book version of ALIEN because the airlock scene was not in the movie itself. I think Ridley Scott had discussed using it but ultimately decided against using it, I think mainly due to time constraints if I remember correctly, and that's why in the movie Dallas gets caught by the Xenomorph in the ducting. The whole airlock scene was supposed to be before Dallas' death/capture scene in the ducts.

I have a bad habit of watching these videos at night, in the dark with the lights off, and the sound on full blast. I get so immersed. I got such a good fright on the Xeno's first appearance in this video I screamed 😂😭😅. Having the bass of my subs turned up, I can genuinely feel the ground shake and, the thumping in my chest as the creature walks around. So when it charged into that room and grabbed you from under the desk, HOLY SH*T!!! It got me so good, I f*cking love it ❤😂

The last close encounter at the end got me really bad although I highly expected it to have turned around already. But like you, I underestimated how quick it even walks. If I ever die from a jump scare, it will be while playing or watching Alien Isolation.
No game, that has ever featured a horror movie franchise, was able to not only live up but rather even highly succeed the immersion and tension, even pure panic of their cinematic origins! Except this legend here.
A tip for directing/alluring the alien: You can use the wrench tool by left click to "melee" some wall or so around you and make noise that way. Helped me a lot to get this freeky-deeky Aubergine-Head, where i wanted it to go.
Great video anyway, can´t wait to see "Last Survivor" on the next one.

I love how small every corridor in the Nostromo is, the fact that there is nowere to hide and if you enter the wrong door its just a straight line between you and certain death.

This DLC is actually a deleted sequence from the movie, it was only partially shot and never made it to the DVD/blu-rays unfortunately. You can find a few photos online tho.
The alien was supposed to get stuck in the airlock door and lose an arm (as far as I know), which probably would have made the rest of the movie a bit different.

Wow that was insane.. what a beautiful game. They put so much love into this. This was actually my first ever experience in this story. I've never seen the movies.
My body shoved myself away from my iPad screen, while my heart had a jumpstart at the door opening. I was even holding my breath urging you on to hurry up with the “plan”. It was very nostalgic seeing inside the Nostromo again despite Aliens being one of my most feared being along with the ‘Signs’ aliens. Great content, I didn’t think I would have finish watching the series.

I played this in VR with the original Oculus DK2. My blood pressure got so high I could see the image slightly jumping with my heartbeat. During one particularly tense section one of my cats decided to jump onto my lap... and well let's just say I hit such a high octave screeching I'm surprised I didn't shatter every glass item in the vicinity.
I've always loved Alien: Isolation still one of the greatest if not THE greatest horror game of all time. If you take game recommendations I would highly recommend Still Wakes the Deep, I will say that all the voices are Scottish in the game and they do say a lot of curse words but the game is so interesting and it is a horror game of course. I don't want to spoil anything about the game but I think it would be quite entertaining to watch you play it.

1st time to this channel. I'm currently playing Alien Isolation for a 2nd time. I have 2 DLCs and didn't know about this one. Thank you. And to those saying we need another Alien Isolation game are absolutely right!! Capitalize on the new Romulus next month.

I know it's no good giving advice after the fact but if you ever play this game again, you can save yourself some trouble by using fewer _'distraction items'_ because they become less & less effective the more you use them, so the Alien will quickly learn to not only ignore Noisemakers _(for example)_ but also actively search harder for *you* in nearby areas because it knows you're trying to distract it. Flares are also a purely _visual_ distraction, the Alien _(or humans & androids)_ has to actually see the flare, it won't be drawn to one simply bacause you've thrown it.
Fooster, I just finished Alien 3 bc of your playthroughs. What an insane movie/trilogy, the ending of 3 was incredible, I still have goosebumps. It just gets better and better with every movie
You aint finished with this game yet, until you've played all expandables Fooster. You did pretty good with this one, better then many others shave. The beauty of these expandables, is your literally playing the parts that we saw in the original movie Alien. Its a miracle that Ripley made if off the Nostromo with no weapons and no training. Which is why when in the movie Aliens, when Ripley suddenly had access to Marine weapons, she became the ultimate badass!
Fooster, you 10'000% need to play the VR Mod for Alien Isolation! It's so goddamn good and adds a whole new universe of fear! Even if it's just a video and not a whole playthrough xD

Yourself reminds me of me, your social reaction to what the members want you actually give it to us subs. TBH. you are a rare find, most video makers, after having 1 mil. subs they tend to just w/e, then they stop caring about the subs, you on the other hand actually make sure you give us what we want to see. You also don't beg for $ either like other gaming channels. You have my total respect!
