Epic Day Trip to Bran Castle + Thunderstorm In Brasov

- We had never been to #Transylvania before...and wow was it beautiful! We took a day trip to #BranCastle (AKA Dracula's Castle) to learn about the history of "vampires" in Transylvania right from the source. It was pretty cool learning about the evil Vlad the Impaler (a real Romanian ruler!) and getting to go inside the castle.
Next, we headed off to the nearby town of #Brasov. We didn't get to do much before dark storm clouds starting forming overhead. Before we knew it, we were getting poured on! Don't feel too bad for us--we waited out the storm with a beer in a nearby cafe :)

Yeah it's a long drive but totally worth it if you're not planning on spending more time in Transylvania. Awesome castle!

@@JackandGabExplore You should visit Salina Turda saltmine.
Absolutely! Maramures and the Painted Monasteries are amazing. Everything I saw in not enough ten days in Romania was superb
Brasov is a beautiful mountain city ...
Nice 👍
Thanks 🙏
Wow super video cheers from India
Brasov..my birth town
VISIT BRAȘOV - THE BEST CITY OF ROMANIA !!! ♥️💛💙
Welcome
I agree you shouldn't miss a stella artois when you have the chance, so many places don't have it on menu
Exactly our thoughts! Belgian beer is the best 🍻
@@JackandGabExplore
Try reading on the bottle label. The vast majority of the beer in Romania is manufactured and bottled in Romania using the recipe and under the supervision/license of the most famous beer producers. I hope I didn't spoil your impression. True Belgian beer is harder to find and is not that cheap.
SARMALEEE yeee !!! you guys !! that meal there :)) the combination of Sarmale and Burger is the typical romanian style :)) cause LOTS of romanians eat only traditional romanian dishes. and many ( me included) like to eat new and foreign and other people traditional foods. so Sarmane and Burger :)) so representative
7:40 If you think the city's big, know that what you're seeing from up there is only half of it, the other half is behind the mountain with the Brasov sign on it.
wow when you said that you have never been inside a castle before i was like what but makes sense if you're from the us i guess
What is the most beautiful country you visited in Eastern Europe?
Ahhh that's a hard question! They are all beautiful in their own way :) For beaches, probably Croatia. For rivers, definitely Bosnia. For mountains, Romania!
Motherland
The people were not shorter, the doors and stairs were smaller and narrower in order not to be able to wield swords and other weapons. They had a defensive purpose.
Iosif Borland ! This is my home ! Brasso,Transylvania and the Bran castle.
Beautiful Hungarian/SZEKELY and Saxon landscape and architecture. Enjoyed !
Asa-zisul tinut secuiesc NU EXISTA!!!
Sigmond Nagy lmao where’s the Hungarian architecture ?? You can hardly find it beside some small villages in Covasna and Hargita, everything in Transylvania is either Saxon or Austrian. ( I study architecture and I know a lot about this stuff )
România ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gab you are very beautiful, I love Brasov as I was there in 2006, for two weeks, it was fantastic, the food was fantastic and the girl that I meet and she stayed with me for two weeks was fantastic until she jumped off a bridge and died the day before I left because I couldn’t not stay there with her ,
How is romanian wine? Well, let's put it this way:our wine is like a beautiful 23 years old cheer leader, and bulgarian wine tastes like an old fart. So,yeah...
