I don't see where this will go in Season 9. I mean Townsend is dead, Liz is dead, so what's there to show? Yes, there are many on the Blacklist list, so is it gonna continue from that other than the fact of Liz getting killed & of her past? I really don't see it really going anywhere since the show was 99.9% bout Liz & Red's relationship.😔

First, he was there the day the photograph was taken, says "he" knows Katerina better than anyone, says "he" loves her, etc. When they did DNA testing they did it on the bones and not on Red. Plastic surgery was done on the person who is Red. In this day and age a woman can look like a man no problem..
In reality, they all believed season 8 was going to be the end. But, the show was renewed for the 9th, not because of anything other than COVID. NBC wasn't doing any new pilots during COVID and not knowing how long restrictions would exist, they decided to renew their shows that were on their last year of their contracts. If they hadn't, I'm pretty sure we would have found out who Red really is and he would have died in the series finale. Bringing it all to a close. Since the show was renewed and Boone wanted out, they rewrote the last episode to keep Red alive and not tell us who he is to keep us coming back for the next season.
If you want to be realistic...Red and his secrets are the reason her husband is dead, her entire life destroyed. Not saying it is not good tv but Red is not a good person, his actions destroyed Liz's life...almost all of it could have been avoided if he had been honest. Its kind of like in the originals, Marcel was the only vampire who did spend his life raping torturing and killing innocent men woman and children. Klaus and his family spent a 1000 years raping torturing and killing innocent men woman an children...and everyone hated marcel lol. Not saying these were good tv...but in both series the character who was essentially good and was repeatedly screwed over is hated and the evil sons of bitches are cheered by fans smh lol. It would be like having a movie about hitler and every cheering him. You all are seriously fucked in the had cheering on evil bastards lo.

Megan Boone had problems with using automatic weapons (even if they were props) and probably some other liberal mindset on some of the other violence prone episodes so goodbye, and bring in a character who is like Angelina Jolie who is willing to shoot up everything.

The only way I survived this show was by quitting early in Season 5 and just recently binge watching to catch up, I don't think I could have handled the last 4 years of carrot dangling week to week
I didn't survive it. It became too stupid to spend time on. A good mystery or spell-binder doesn't do the types of twists and reverses accomplished by major leaps of disbelief that the Blacklist audience was subjected to. The best shows were when they worked on the Blacklist. Some were so macabre we had to pinch ourselves that it was actually on network TV. But once it became one question on top of another question, I was wondering if they would ask whether Liz was a live birth or not! and similar nonsensical types of thinking- I had to let it go. It just got to the point that I didn't care and chose not to waste my time on it.
Everyone is talking about the last three actors from the beginning remaining, but no one mention Aram. He was also there from the beginning even if it was from episode 3 on.

Nah. Red's not Katarina. So many holes in that theory, especially when you go back to earlier moments where Kaplan describes Red and Katarina as two separate people ... and Red's comment about "deep-throating and the G-Spot" which is not the conversation a parent would have with their kid. Liz's writing throughout S8 was a disappointment. I suspect it's still a fake death. Guess we'll find out.
@@Scrappy527 watch the death montage again, they keep interspersing Katrina's face with Reds and remember the one blacklisted who operated on other crims for complete identity change. And in the episode in the bunker they said they had to construct and identity and it cut to an operation. Not to mention there was a commercial about transgender acceptance. It all seems to point to Katrina being Red. And don't forget Cape May how did anybody but Katrina remember it so vividly.

How did a “crack FBI agent” make so, so many bad, stupid decisions (in her job and her personal life) and end up having to be saved almost every episode?
Not to mention the body count left in her wake. I doubt that any FBI agent ever killed as many people in an entire career as she did in her first year with Red, and I'm just referring to those where she pulled the trigger so to speak.
Liz is directly responsible for the deaths of her entire team, her maternal grandfather, Red's girlfriend Anne ... and ironically, herself. All because she didn't believe Red when he told her that the woman was not actually her mother but was a pretender. Epic fail. She was so quick to believe somebody other than Red, yet he turned out to be right.
I was not a big fan of Liz for a long time but when it became apparent of Redington's love for her, as a father, then she started growing on me. SPADER IS THR SHOW, however I still want him to be Liz's father. He loves her. I don't want him to be sad after all this time of protecting her, I don't know where this show will go, but I love Red!

Well, Reddington's initial intention was Keene. But as the series progressed, he has built somewhat of an amicable business relationship with the FBI Task Force. So it wouldn't be too farfetched to move the focus off Keene. Besides, Season 9 Ep 1 will probably be some dream sequence or something to wrap up Keene's current arc.

Liz spent all her 8 years life to find out the truth, and when the truth almost there, she had to die? it just too harsh. Why on Earth the story writer had to make "her" life that harsh? Every ep I watch until Konets, you just cannot stop being emotional about Liz and Red. To do as much as possible to know the truth, disregarding and aware of her safety. To do his best on protecting his secrets, and Liz.
She see's Katarina in her dying moments, when she looks into RR's eyes... I think this implies Keen, in her dying moments, had realized RR is infact Katarina ...
I don't usually get pull into TV shows but it made me sad to see Elizabeth Keen murdered just before finding out the whole truth, and she looks a lot like my youngest daughter so seeing someone that looks like my daughter in pain had an impact on me. Strange since it is just a TV show. All the best to you Megan Boone, you did amazing job on the show.
A good show that should have ended 2 seasons ago. The last year and a 1/2 it's been meanering in search of a reason to keep going. If the plot the 1st several seasons was just fantastic. I've never seen quite anything like it. But the last couple seasons not so much.
did you see season 9 premier? I think its getting some of that original energy back into it. Red is moving around in mystery again with a couple girls that are Interesting to say the least. Lol. And Megan Boone was the very first member of the cast choose by the script writers and producers. Her character is the Alpha and Omega of the show. The 9th season probably will only be a reboot of Reddington past years prior his meeting with Liz as an adult and the way he created his empire.
I watch this show because of James Spader and his wonderful character. Megan Boone's character of Elizabeth I got tired of a long time ago. Look how many people have been killed this season because of her. She has done got on my last nerve. I Won't miss her. Raymond Reddington and his right hand man (can't think of the characters name) make this show so enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to another season and I'm anxious to know what Raymond's mystery illness is cause it's become obvious he is not a well man.

shes been working on the same project for years, you just watch the parts after they're all done but making each and every scene perfectly takes hours and its very tiring, she is a good actress and i really could understand her decision so stop thinking about yourself and think about her, shes a person too.

It's was a superb show with so many pro's, just a few cons.. Later on that balance shifted for the worse.. They dragged the 'mystery' too long. With all the history clear it would/ could still be as awesome.. Remember; it's not only Liz, but also Reddington who's (or was apparently) searching for answers.. As shown when he killed Diane Fowler. Just get that story done and continue, pff.. Imho Megan is good enough of an actor, the scriptwriters just used and abused her personaga too much too often, especially the later seasons (jail, katarina) The first seasons knew how to move me, in their relationship (Red-Liz). That was gone with her fake-dead. They should've wrapped up, concluded that story-arch in say 4-5 seasons and just continue hunting Blacklisters.. And find some other mystery to spread over the seasons
I think they forgot about that part tbh , they dragged the story and the secrets so long that if someone rewatching the show its obvious that in the end they won't answer to all of the questions.

I bought and watched seasons 1-7. Joined a Facebook fan discussion group last year and read comments on season 8 and it's happenings. I've decided based on those comments I won't be watching Season 8 and all it's stupidity so I'm over and out. Makes me sad the writers destroyed what could have been epic.

A major cast member tells the writers that, and they go into scramble mode. With that being said, she deserved a better ending and so did the fans.

He is not original, they had a different tech guy on the pilot episode. I think he showed up on the second episode though so in my mind he should be considered original.
In the early episodes it looked like Megan had an incisor that protruded slightly. Now it appears that it has been straightened out. She remains a beautiful woman, but I found the misaligned tooth rather charming.
Thank God she's leaving! The show is unwatchable with her on it. We need to arrest her! No, we want her back in the FBI. No, no she must be arrested! I'm shocked it was renewed for another season.

Another show just like SUITS that stretched out 5 to 6 seasons of plot content. The BIG secret premise gets old after about the 4th season or so (depending on number of episodes per season). I liked the idea of the list and those baddies of the week with skill sets that makes them extremely dangerous, but when you have this BIG secret main plot driving a show, it’s not gonna end well. Gonna be hard to string people along for 10+ years drip feeding them revelations and truth discovery. Some actors don’t mind. It’s a steady paycheck. Some gets tired of it similarly the way viewers get tired of watching the same thing every week seeming like it’s going in circles and going nowhere.
So glad Megan Boone left Blacklist.. James Spader is the true star and the reason I watch the show. Season 9 was the best season and was the best without Megan (Elizabeth). Her leaving was not sad for me. Her character was not written likeable.. haven't seen season 10 yet.. waiting on Netflix

The only way I survived this show was by quitting early in Season 5 and just recently binge watching to catch up, I don't think I could have handled the last 4 years of carrot dangling week to week
I didn't survive it. It became too stupid to spend time on. A good mystery or spell-binder doesn't do the types of twists and reverses accomplished by major leaps of disbelief that the Blacklist audience was subjected to.
The best shows were when they worked on the Blacklist. Some were so macabre we had to pinch ourselves that it was actually on network TV. But once it became one question on top of another question, I was wondering if they would ask whether Liz was a live birth or not! and similar nonsensical types of thinking- I had to let it go. It just got to the point that I didn't care and chose not to waste my time on it.

Nah. Red's not Katarina. So many holes in that theory, especially when you go back to earlier moments where Kaplan describes Red and Katarina as two separate people ... and Red's comment about "deep-throating and the G-Spot" which is not the conversation a parent would have with their kid. Liz's writing throughout S8 was a disappointment. I suspect it's still a fake death. Guess we'll find out.

@@Scrappy527 watch the death montage again, they keep interspersing Katrina's face with Reds and remember the one blacklisted who operated on other crims for complete identity change. And in the episode in the bunker they said they had to construct and identity and it cut to an operation. Not to mention there was a commercial about transgender acceptance. It all seems to point to Katrina being Red. And don't forget Cape May how did anybody but Katrina remember it so vividly.

All because she didn't believe Red when he told her that the woman was not actually her mother but was a pretender. Epic fail. She was so quick to believe somebody other than Red, yet he turned out to be right.
Because that's how Hollywood writes female leads

I was not a big fan of Liz for a long time but when it became apparent of Redington's love for her, as a father, then she started growing on me. SPADER IS THR SHOW, however I still want him to be Liz's father. He loves her. I don't want him to be sad after all this time of protecting her, I don't know where this show will go, but I love Red!

Well, Reddington's initial intention was Keene. But as the series progressed, he has built somewhat of an amicable business relationship with the FBI Task Force.
So it wouldn't be too farfetched to move the focus off Keene.
Besides, Season 9 Ep 1 will probably be some dream sequence or something to wrap up Keene's current arc.

Liz spent all her 8 years life to find out the truth, and when the truth almost there, she had to die? it just too harsh. Why on Earth the story writer had to make "her" life that harsh? Every ep I watch until Konets, you just cannot stop being emotional about Liz and Red.
To do as much as possible to know the truth, disregarding and aware of her safety. To do his best on protecting his secrets, and Liz.
She see's Katarina in her dying moments, when she looks into RR's eyes... I think this implies Keen, in her dying moments, had realized RR is infact Katarina ...
I don't usually get pull into TV shows but it made me sad to see Elizabeth Keen murdered just before finding out the whole truth, and she looks a lot like my youngest daughter so seeing someone that looks like my daughter in pain had an impact on me. Strange since it is just a TV show. All the best to you Megan Boone, you did amazing job on the show.

A good show that should have ended 2 seasons ago. The last year and a 1/2 it's been meanering in search of a reason to keep going. If the plot the 1st several seasons was just fantastic. I've never seen quite anything like it. But the last couple seasons not so much.
did you see season 9 premier? I think its getting some of that original energy back into it. Red is moving around in mystery again with a couple girls that are Interesting to say the least. Lol. I think its in a great spot now. James Spader is the godfather of this show. Without him its dead. With him, it could probably go another 5 seasons and people would still love it lol

Absolutely not ! SHE IS the reason why Reddington came into the picture in the first place whatever you think. And Megan Boone was the very first member of the cast choose by the script writers and producers. Her character is the Alpha and Omega of the show. The 9th season probably will only be a reboot of Reddington past years prior his meeting with Liz as an adult and the way he created his empire.

I watch this show because of James Spader and his wonderful character. Megan Boone's character of Elizabeth I got tired of a long time ago. Look how many people have been killed this season because of her. She has done got on my last nerve. I Won't miss her. Raymond Reddington and his right hand man (can't think of the characters name) make this show so enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to another season and I'm anxious to know what Raymond's mystery illness is cause it's become obvious he is not a well man.

shes been working on the same project for years, you just watch the parts after they're all done but making each and every scene perfectly takes hours and its very tiring, she is a good actress and i really could understand her decision so stop thinking about yourself and think about her, shes a person too.

I bought and watched seasons 1-7. Joined a Facebook fan discussion group last year and read comments on season 8 and it's happenings. I've decided based on those comments I won't be watching Season 8 and all it's stupidity so I'm over and out. Makes me sad the writers destroyed what could have been epic.

A major cast member tells the writers that, and they go into scramble mode. With that being said, she deserved a better ending and so did the fans.

He is not original, they had a different tech guy on the pilot episode. I think he showed up on the second episode though so in my mind he should be considered original.

Another show just like SUITS that stretched out 5 to 6 seasons of plot content. The BIG secret premise gets old after about the 4th season or so (depending on number of episodes per season).
I liked the idea of the list and those baddies of the week with skill sets that makes them extremely dangerous, but when you have this BIG secret main plot driving a show, it’s not gonna end well. Gonna be hard to string people along for 10+ years drip feeding them revelations and truth discovery.
Some actors don’t mind. It’s a steady paycheck. Some gets tired of it similarly the way viewers get tired of watching the same thing every week seeming like it’s going in circles and going nowhere.

I agree that Reddington is the main focus and was given an interesting story and arc. Megan did her best with the script she was given, and frankly I think she did a very good job making us despise her character. Check out some of her other acting jobs. Her acting is not the problem, but she was given a script that was lackluster at best. James Spader was given a much more interesting part and a better script. Is he a better actor than Megan, yes, he is, but he is allowed to shine, whereas she is not. Too often, actors are blamed for their roles that may make them look bad. The best actress in the world couldn't save the part of Liz.

Even the lady who pretended to be liz is a billion times better then this real liz. Omg she is so bad, she cant cry, she does not know when to smile. And her useless smirk. OMG. i thought she left already, the show was billion times better when they were not showing her. OMG i cant take her acting. Everything, tone, expression, walk and wtc, you name is she is not good at it. It is so funny how some people blame the writing, but why when that actor played her so called role, she was a billion times better. So it's not the writing, it's just the actor is so so bad.
