Sang this for my last jr high concert and it was awesome! We got red lights and masks for all the guys. Also this was my first introduction to the phantom of the opera and now I see why everyone loves it.

I’m so sad because I was supposed to sing this for my last concert in middle school but because of COVID I couldn’t. Thankfully, my middle school chorus teacher moved to my high school so at least I’m still with them. Maybe we will sing this in high school?
I sang this medley last May as a senior send off. We went all out by having phantom letter introduction, and someone dressed up as the phantom himself. So fun!!!
I remember when I was in my elementary school chorus group (I went to a K-8 school at the time) and the middle school students sang this medley during our show accompanied by just a piano. It was the first time I heard and heard of the Webber version of the story (let alone have any idea as to what the Phantom story was actually about). Damn performance by these older kids sent chills down my spine - I had to hear more.
On our school, choir was a mandatory subject in 10th-12th grade, with a yearly performance. We sang this medley as part of the pre-programme (the main programme was Fauré’s Requiem) when I was in 11th grade.
I'm singing this in three part in my high school choir, and I've also never seen Phantom of the Opera; like others have said their vowels need work, there too wide, but I'm enjoying this piece SO MUCH, and Bari's get melody HAHAHAHA!!!
We're singing this for my hs spring chorus concert in a few weeks and I'm soooo excited!!! I would have never imagined how much I would feel in love with these songs!
In sleep he sang to me In dreams he came That voice which calls to me And speaks my name And in this labyrinth Where night is blind The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind No more talk of darkness Forget these wide-eyed fears I'm here Nothing can harm you My words will warm and calm you All I want is freedom A world with no more night And you Always beside me To hold me and to hide me Then say you'll share with me one love One lifetime Let me lead you from your solitude And say you need me with you here Beside you Anywhere you go let me go too Love me that's all I ask of you Night time sharpens Heightens each sensation Darkness stirs And wakes Imagination Silently the senses Abandon their defenses Helpless to resist the notes I write The power of the Music of the Night Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before Let your soul take you where you long to be Only then can you belong to me You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night
Sarah Brightman she did the video for this song dressed in period costume, she placed flowers on the grave of her composer father, she was so talented in the original production of Phantom with Micheal Crawford.
Micheal Burgess, the star of the Toronto production who took over the role from Colm Wilkerson both were the Phantom in the Canadian production of the Phantom.
The film verison was based on the smash stage musical production I was surprised how well Gerald Butler and Emmy Rossum sang together.i fell in love with the movie verison of Phantom.
I did this with my choir last year, and I noticed that some things in this medley are arranged kind of weirdly. Other than the fact that Masquerade and Music of the Night should have been in it, it felt funny to me turning a simple duet into a four part harmony. At the very end, I wish that it could have been written as a solo for a soprano that could sing Christine's climax in the title song.
It's in a arrangement so some things are going to be changed, especially for a SATB choir because multiple people are singing at the same time, along with multiple characters
my highschool choir was full of people who were scared to sing, so me and my bestie carried the alto and soprano parts alone 😂 20 members but you only hear 1 person per part
we were supposed to do this in my chorus class this year for the spring concert but we all know how that went 🥺 we had the hang of it too
saaaaame!!
We did this for our honors choir.
Same, our concert was set on March 12th... it was canceled hours before our call time
I was supposed to do that too

Let me guess.... Are you a vrije school student?
@@runevandersar6505 you guessed correctly!
Oh man I’m so jealous of the choral kids! I’d love to sing this!!

Sang this in High school and I’ve been graduated almost 3 yrs ago and my friends and I still sing this! same version too
I come back to this every so often when I get it stuck in my head again…still know it backwards and forwards lol love this arrangement
I got to sing this when I was a freshman in choir, brings back so many memories. I kinda miss high school lol
We sang this in my high school choir at Sebastian river high school in 2012, good memories! Didn’t realize how long of a piece it was though!
We're singing this for my hs spring chorus concert in a few weeks and I'm soooo excited!!! I would have never imagined how much I would feel in love with these songs!
THE TRANSITION AT 10:44
I remember my choir teacher giving me the solo in wishing you were somehow here again despite the fact that I am an alto
My senior year my schools choir got to sing this for a concert. It’s was so much fun !
Performed it last night! IT WENT AMAZING!!
Singing this in my middle school choir was what made me fall in love with musicals
Think of Me ✨
0:06 is when song starts, beautiful medley!
In sleep he sang to me
In dreams he came
That voice which calls to me
And speaks my name
And in this labyrinth
Where night is blind
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside my mind
No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I'm here
Nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you
All I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you
Always beside me
To hold me and to hide me
Then say you'll share with me one love
One lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
And say you need me with you here
Beside you
Anywhere you go let me go too
Love me that's all I ask of you
Night time sharpens
Heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs
And wakes Imagination
Silently the senses
Abandon their defenses
Helpless to resist the notes I write
The power of the Music of the Night
Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world
Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before
Let your soul take you where you long to be
Only then can you belong to me
You alone can make my song take flight
Help me make the music of the night
God this takes me back to highschool singing this.
singing this in my choir class currently
That ending!!! 🤌🎆
Can't wait to see this for our concert we finally get to sing it
Bravi. Bravi. Bravissimi....

Sang this in choir one fall and played it in band the following spring in highschool.
my son song it just last year in 11 and he loved it
We did this in chorus about 2017 I think. So good 😢😢❤
Singing this in March with my local adult choir 🤌🙌
I Wish I Sing it also. I got the Phantom of the Opera Outfit. And I'm Going to be him for Halloween.
Sarah Brightman she did the video for this song dressed in period costume, she placed flowers on the grave of her composer father, she was so talented in the original production of Phantom with Micheal Crawford.
Im Back In High School Again (1990) Junior Year When We Did This
My high school choir is doing this on may 18TH!
DID THIS ITS SOOO FUNN
The Phantom is my Father. I'll Dream of the phantom Ever Night.
Damn. because of this song I miss my choirmates🤧
Sarah Brightman did a video of this song as she walked through the cemetery to lay flowers on the grave of her father.it made me emotional.
I Love the Phantom.
Love it.
Wow amazing!!
No music of the night, no secretly, no masquerade. 😭😢
I sing this in choir!
Ramin K. was the best Phantom since Colm Wilkerson in the original production of Phantom.
Colm Wilkerson,Jeff Hysolp,Ramian Karimloo three great Canadian actors who have worn the Phantom mask in various productions of the Phantom.
Ramin was the best of them though
@@calebhelterbrand6306 He was the best one.
Micheal Burgess, the star of the Toronto production who took over the role from Colm Wilkerson both were the Phantom in the Canadian production of the Phantom.
Let's not forget Kiss frontman Paul Stanley starred in the Toronto production of Phantom.
Wonderfulllllllll S2
Donde puedo conseguir la partitura 😢😂 me gustaría montarla con mis alumnos
doing this medley rn
Emmy Russem as Christine in the film verison of Phantom.
6:30 Came for All I Ask of You. Also, can I have a bass version of them singing this piece?
Emmy Rossum and Gerald Butler in the film verison of the Phantom!!!.
Martin Patrick there r many things wrong with the movie
@@almcg03 what could be wrong with the film verison of the Phantom?
The film verison was based on the smash stage musical production I was surprised how well Gerald Butler and Emmy Rossum sang together.i fell in love with the movie verison of Phantom.
I am doing this as a tenor.
I WANT TO DO THIS SO BAD
The lyrics are “and DO I dream again” not so

LOL I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THAT
Yeah
i knowwww i still sing do again in class cuz i’m RIGHT
How can someone make a phantom medley but leave out masquerade?
Sarah Brightman the original Christine in the original west end production of Phantom.
Ok? Thats random
my choir teacher had different directions for this song now I'm pissed because I can't find THAT version in alto cuz I got a concert tomorrow
2:28 and 3:04Why don’t the Altos to sing with the Sopranos?
I’m in a choir and I’m performing it today and I think it is because when performed together but a different notes it sounds very nice
They are, just no harmony
WildHeckinTimes Folks If you look at the music it says Sopranos only
my highschool choir was full of people who were scared to sing, so me and my bestie carried the alto and soprano parts alone 😂
20 members but you only hear 1 person per part
This shit goes hard
8:37
Wish this came with prima Donna
And masquerade
Same!
Pretty! But the Think of Me soprano soloist needs way taller vowells
I suspect it's supposed to be imitating Emmy Rossum's performance from the 2004 movie, which was very contemporary in terms of its presentation.
