Brandon Pollard you’re right! Most general Lee’s sell for at least 50 grand. Even a Charger that’s sitting in a field brings 20-25 grand.

Joe Casson I’ve looked at Chargers 68-70 for 15 years and I have never seen one fully restored to showroom condition for under 30 grand, even a regular charger non RT is going to be 40-50 grand. But your idea of fully restored and mine are probably different. Even Chargers that are laying in a field or barn not running go for 25-30.
60k for a charger is a steal. It's not a crappy mustang or a junky Camaro, it a CHARGER

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the General did not have black interior. I seem to remember John Schneider saying on his RUclips channel that is a common mistake people make when doing a General Lee. Still cool though and a steal for all 4 of those.

I was watching the Barrett Jackson car auction a few years ago and I email Barrett Jackson..I told them I was a Internet bidder and I couldn't be there in person to see underneath the cars.I suggested they put a camera on stage so everyone on TV can see under the cars..The next year they had the chassis cam..I couldn't believed they used my Idea...I was hoping they send me a T Shirt or something but I got nothing..That's ok..I'm happy they put my idea to work..My dream is to go there in person one day..Thomas Cleveland Ohio.

Yes they were i just dont think they used the 68 chargers cause 69 and 70 chargers are the same except for the grill and they just changed that out. I watched a documentary somewhere about it and john schnieder said that.
I'm betting that was well under what the builder had in mind. Wouldn't want a seat in that truck on the way home...

Yep. John Schneider has a RUclips channel and he stated this very thing a month or two ago on it. They never used a 70’ Charger.

I am so sick of the damned General Lee. Between so many nice Chargers being destroyed and the number of them that were converted, a nice stock Charger is a rare animal.
Cry baby!😂....The General Lee is what made the charger great.
@@cbsundance I still stand on the fact that far too many nice Chargers were either destroyed or are wearing orange Halloween costumes because of that show. A nice stock Charger (or close to it) is rare and horribly expensive. Wouldn’t it be a kick to to have a video of a General Lee being converted back to original? I’d definitely be interested.
