Best rugby content creator on RUclips , a general Tadhg Beirne tribute with all his play especially with all his defensive steals like agains NZ in the third test would be awesome
Ref said it after he had his bind on the ball carrier. If you watch it slowly, you see he gets between the jumper and 8 before they set the maul, binding to the ball carrier. The maul splits a bit, so he swings his arm to the ball carrier. He's come through the maul as it disconnects, never breaking his first bind.
Question I've never found an answer to: if you have an opposing maul, can you just go straight and tackle the legs of the first opponents in the maul regardless if they have the ball, causing the maul to collapse?
The only thing I like about this is the fact that you made a video about a forward, and not about his ball-carrying skills, but his dirty work. But line-outs, after the ball is pulled down from the sky, one of the weird parts of rugby. You can't block in rugby, except when it's a line-out. You're only supposed to tackle the ball-carrier in rugby, except when it's a line-out. You're supposed to celebrate a try in rugby, except it's unclear where the ball even is in a line-out. One of the things league got right, IMO...
@@eamonlyons8069 well not strictly tackling, as in bringing the ball carrier to ground, but IDK how you say stopping the front players of a maul, who have nothing to do with the ball. In open play you'd be penalised for "tackling off the ball". In a maul, you must push them back, even if they never touched the ball.

Love that youre making highlights for the unsung heroes of a rugby team
This guy went from basically getting cut by Leinster to a top 10 player in the world
Beirne / McCarthy is 100% one of the most exciting lock combos in the world right now
Not sold on McCarthy. He has a long way to be considered in the same breath as Beirne, even if they are playing together.
Yeah front 5 highlights! Thanks fordey
And this guy is like a fricking octopus….
Agree, and what a great description 🐙
great stuff as ever, Andrew!
easily my favourite Ireland player
Beirne IS the Man👍💪
“Five, don’t change!”
Five changes.
Play on…

No that’s collapsing, you can hit into the players at the front to drive the maul backwards but can’t deliberately collapse it
@@stinkystonk2480don’t think it’s collapsing as a maul hasn’t been formed yet
I still believe Maro Itoje is the greatest maul disruptor there’s ever been, the man is a menace
Will make a video in future of it!
Another underrated player
Is there anything Beirne isn't good at?
Tadgh is World Class💪👏👏
Strong as an aux

I've made many videos on forwards that aren't about their ball carrying skills :)
You should not be tackling in a lineout unless it's the guy in possession.
