The Hunter and Venus moment at ponderosa is so sweet! I like hearing that even though they both were against each other in the game, they were chill at ponderosa
She and Soda seemed like they'd be on good terms. But once Tevin and Soda got together and Tevn tells Soda about Venus bragging on getting Soda out I'm sure it soured Soda towards her.

On the show she seemed blunt, which I know people don't like direct conversation in general, let alone from a woman. But geeze, even at ponderosa no one can be cordial? thats messed up.

It's always refreshing to see a castaway that's so young yet is able to be so introspective and self-reflective. More so when they recognize their downfalls but are secure enough in their person to own it and be unapologetically themselves. I believe the group-think was an effect of her bright mind and willingness to speak her truth, which often intimidates others, especially those with a big ego or that always need to be the center of attention (Tevin and Soda--I'm looking at you!). Sure, sometimes Venus spoke a little too much but I share that same fault and loved seeing someone with a "negative" characteristic I share navigating their way through the game.

I’ve missed several seasons of survivor leading up to this season but I used to watch it religiously. I’ve never seen a season where the hidden immunity Idols played no part in the game. Unless I’m mistaken 4 people have been voted off with an immunity idol in their pocket. This is insane.

Venus! Robbed queen! It was so fun watching her trying to navigate her tribemates and this game. It must've been really hard to keep perservering in the game with such negative/preconceived notions. I hope to see her again. She was such a fun character with great strategic promise!
Quite a few players on season 46 must have had nightmares after the show. They would wake up screaming after hearing those dreaded words in their dream: "If anyone has an idol or an advantage..."
There are a lot of competitive environmemts where pretty outspoken women are looked at negatively. You see it a lot in the online gaming community but I also think you see it here in this season. Survivor has become a game where the quirky person really stands out and here you have this beautiful female that is confident and doesn't fit the mold. Even her name comes off as strong and confident. Both Q and Liz have had many moments of abrasivenss but they fit the quirky mold better and people have been much more willing to overlook
Venus for Survivor 50 PLEASEEEE !!! What an amazing woman, I love her fearless attitude and shoutout to the women of Iran. Venus, you made them proud and you played your heart out
Venus...you are an inspiration. You're yourself no matter other people's nonsense. So smart and perseverent. I really hope you come back to the show for season 50.
Yeah, the group-think seemed really strong this season. It reminded of the season with Romeo. The only difference is I think in interviews folks did like/engage him on a social level but didn't want to bring him in their games. But the group-think toward Venus and Q is high. It's one thing not wanting to play with them but the alienation and isolation is sad to watch. Other players may emotionally break from such alienation.
Its clear that Tevin wanted to be the sassiest one in the tribe and then theres Venus who can steal the thunder from him so he immediately decided that she needs to go and Hunter and Soda wanted to work with Tevin so they too automatically isolated Venus as well and Liz is just there and Randen atleast made attempts of working with Venus, honestly I see it all being a Tevin thing
@dontdoitsayan2921 ohh this is a good point. I can see this. This interview definitely dull the shine on Soda and Tevin. It like obvious that you can see how playing so hard in the game will deter you from interacting. But Tevin does seem like someone who will blame somone for their downfall.
I love Survivor & getting to hear about each experiences, all the different interviews❤❤ help show that everyone is different, people treat others differently all the time based on perceptions. Loved Venus, loved everyone💚💙🩵💓🤌 all the differences.
I have been watching survivor for many many many many many many many many many many years and I was rooting for you I was so rooting for you and everyone else should have hooked up with you! I hope you have other opportunities to play on different shows because you have what it takes to win you have the drive you have the want and you have the smarts good luck
I enjoyed the chaos and mess that Venus brought to the game, and I’m very happy that she was able to bring awareness to the cause that’s so important to her. I hope that she continues to reflect on her experience via how it was shown on screen and learn more about herself from it. I never believed that she was a horrible, malicious person, but I also think that groupthink can only go so far as an explanation for others’ feelings toward her. It seems like it was very difficult to build trust with her, as evidenced by her conversation with Charlie ahead of tribal. She wasn’t obligated to tell him anything, of course, but you can see why that kind of caginess sows seeds of doubt. Even with Kenzie in the idol hunting scenes, as Kenzie is saying in confessional that Venus hasn’t lied to her, she is actively lying to Kenzie about not having the idol while giving the impression that she’s just tagging along to gather intel, rather than building a foundation for trust. 😅 If she does return, I think that’s a great area in which she can improve her game.
Venus hands down, one of my favorites from this new era. Very refreshing to see someone play with not only strategy but also willing to piss people off and play her own game
Ya I think you need more coffee. Basically she was just saying that was the read at the point of the game. He still could make it to the final 3 and lose.
Yeah, I wish he brought that up. After she just said somebody should drag her along because they would win against win. While everybody literally just publicly agreed to each other they would never vote Q at the final 3, then everybody including her desperately wanted him out immediately after that.
I wish she would have told Charlie that she found the idol and will play it so that they will be forced to shift the target back to Q or someone else. Or she should have done the Karishma moment where she purposely let the others target her and then play the idol. That would have been epic! Now I think it's possible that Venus will be back in Season 50.
I think it was shameful that Tevin, Soda, Tiffany and Hunter completely ignored Venus when she arrived at Ponderosa, although Hunter eventually acknowledged her existence. What kind of people ostracize and bully another person like that? Tevin in particular endlessly bad-mouthed Venus, turning people against her during his entire time on the island. It's sad that she has experienced this conduct after being bullied previously in her life. I, like so many other viewers, really enjoyed Venus and viewed her as the heart of the season. I do wonder if some people resented her for the "crime" of being beautiful, smart and confident. Yes, she could stick her foot in her mouth sometimes with her honesty, but she is a good-hearted person who showed an enormous amount of integrity, honesty and empathy for others, e.g., Liz. It was offensive when Maria acted so wounded ("daggers") by Venus at tribal council on account of her simply showing the courage and integrity to call Maria out on her beyond appalling, transparent and fake behavior in picking Q for the food reward, claiming her decision was based upon whose body was "breaking down" the most. Then she proceeds to leave the two who are literally STARVING and picks Q, the guy who just ate but whom she previously stated she wanted to "use" for his vote, i.e., to serve her own purposes. I'm really glad she will see for herself the episode that airs during which virtually EVERYONE in the cast views Maria's behavior the exact same way as Venus did! Plus, all the condescension she exhibited towards Venus was nauseating.
She is STUNNING!! One of the most beautiful Survivor plays to date, but messed up when she said, "I got something up my sleeve..." KILLED HER GAME!!! so sad
I was rooting for Venus from the very beginning because not only is she super gorgeous but her energy comes off as pure and genuine. You could see her wanting to console Liz after her meltdown and she was trying to stick up for her at the tribal she was voted out in. Watching this interview confirmed my feelings about her. She was trying to be a little devious so she could win, plus she's a total badass, but she's a total sweetheart and I hated that people were treating her badly on the show. I'm your #1 fan Venus! You played a great game and screw them haters lol
I don’t know how to feel about this as I really don’t think she is taking any accountability for how she comes across to others. If everyone is saying u are the problem maybe u should reflect on that instead of attacking everyone else. I think Emily said it best Wednesday night. She said she literally took what Caleb said to her reflected and made changes. Sorry but Venus just seems very young and maybe has some growing to do. I just wish she would take ownership of her actions instead of going after the entire cast. Maria is getting death threats on Twitter bc of stuff Venus is saying this is not ok.
I thought Venus was so smart to hold herself back and continue "looking for the idol". She played that perfectly! Unfortunately, she tanked her game being so elusive with Charlie. Obvs in hindsight she sees it clearly. I wasn't a huge fan of her in the show - she didn't have much nuance or finesse as Maria pointed out to her, and she didn't change her approach up (like Emily F in previous season) after her chat with Maria. But she was fantastic in this interview. I'd love to see her play other games in the reality TV world!
really smart of Charlie in my opinion to take out venus and get the others to do so as well. You don't let Maria get the scent they all want her gone. Venus telling him about that advantage was a mistake and being so secretive about it. But that goes back to her maybe not seperating in that moment how she is perceived as chaotic and untrustworthy even if she has been playing an honest game the whole time. She thought she was building bounds with Charlie but did it in a weird way so the red flag light went off and she has to go. Now if she did have the idol it would be back in the game, Maria doesn't know that charlie wants her gone. He has Q and Maria infront of him to get voted out and Kenize and Liz behind him to try and get one of them voted out next. with 6 people left in the game i could see Ben flipping on Maria for sure with charlie and the girls. That secret scene with Maria being kind of mean to Ben is interesting, he likes the safety of working with Siga still but I think that he isn't stuck to Maria's hip. I could see really any combination for a final 3 at this point im so confused. my first guess of a final 3 is maybe Charlie, Ben and Kenzie then maybe Maria, Q and Kenzie. I think we are looking at a Q or Maria final 4 boot in fire making. if ur maria do you feel good about bringing Q to the end? or is she becoming to much of a enemy now.
Am I making a BIG MISTAKE by wondering if Q is a BIG fan of Dan from Big brother? Two times while listening to the recap episodes I got Dan-ish vibes. First was the chaotic tribal counsel when he wanted to quit lowkey gave me Dan's funeral within a survivor context. Then last week, you liked the way Q separated himself from camp and off to the side which gave me flashbacks of Dan laying by himself or isolating himself as strategy.
Sis said she is a very chilled person, "girl you were not even chilled in this interview" wow and I do not think so many people could be wrong about someone [I don't know] . I believe there is a time to speak up and there is a time to listen and chill.
I enjoyed Venus among this cast of characters, though I could see over and over again how her bulldozer approach was failing her in this game. There is an important balance to strike when dealing with any interpersonal/group dynamic: of course be yourself, but also know yourself enough to determine when your ego is not serving your greater purpose. That's not selling out; that's not being fake; that's being a colleague/teammate/competitor/etc in a shared space. It's hard to tell if Venus has come to recognize that she played an important part in how others received and felt about her from this interview, but it's just one interview. All the best to her.
mannn we are all robbed of a jury vs venus final tribal showdown
We are going to get a Venus(jury) and Q ...final tribal showdown

Man Q really has free realestate in these people’s head 😂
maybe they talk about Q because they’re talking about the game???
Venus! Robbed queen! It was so fun watching her trying to navigate her tribemates and this game. It must've been really hard to keep perservering in the game with such negative/preconceived notions. I hope to see her again. She was such a fun character with great strategic promise!
I love Venus, though I did love the negativity bc she made for a good villain
How exactly did she persevere? She made 0 allies in the game
@@fingerblaster5280That's exactly why. She had zero allies and still managed to make it that far. That's perseverance
@@SmiteKhepri and to still be that upbeat during things like that challenge despite how people were treating her
I wish Venus and Hunter had teamed up for a secret alliance. They definitely would have ran the game to the end.
Quite a few players on season 46 must have had nightmares after the show. They would wake up screaming after hearing those dreaded words in their dream: "If anyone has an idol or an advantage..."
everyone with an idol so far went home with it. probably unprecedented in survivor history
CBS or someone else should have this phrase on t-shirts and mugs, and sell them.
would love to see another interview with venus!
Great interview loved watching Venus on Survivor would love to see her back
She’s well spoken no matter what
She would’ve killed it at FTC against Q and/or Liz
Yeah killed all the way to 0 votes
Really??
Venus for Survivor 50 PLEASEEEE !!! What an amazing woman, I love her fearless attitude and shoutout to the women of Iran. Venus, you made them proud and you played your heart out
More Venus please!!
Venus...you are an inspiration. You're yourself no matter other people's nonsense. So smart and perseverent. I really hope you come back to the show for season 50.
She is an inspiration all right… To people who are shallow.
Mother!!!! Love Venus, can't wait for her and Omar to run season 50.
Happy Mothers Day 🤣🤣🤣
shes iconic lmao
Rob is hilarious with the happy mother day comment that’s hilarious. But great jury run V I’ll catch you on the island 1 of these season lol
the isolation and alienation really seemed like group-think and personal towards venus.. seemed like a lot of short sightedness and clique-y-ness
😂😂😂😂 she’s a naive young lady, cmon y’all
Or maybe she was super aggressive with her gameplay and rubbed people the wrong way
Really enjoyed Venus (Venise?) on the show, I definitely hope she's back for 50
Venus
@@eizyawsit was a joke cause that’s how Q spelled her name lol
@emilyl7048 😂😂 oh yeah 😂😂
I was soooo bummed that VENUS got out!!
I didnt want the interview to end. I love Venus even more.
Venus hands down, one of my favorites from this new era. Very refreshing to see someone play with not only strategy but also willing to piss people off and play her own game
Venus you were one of my favs from this season , hope to see you on Survior 50
Umm... did she just accidentally spoil us with that "If Q would have made it to the end" remark? Or do I need more coffee 😮
She explained that was the mentality at the time
Ya I think you need more coffee. Basically she was just saying that was the read at the point of the game. He still could make it to the final 3 and lose.
To hear this from a jury member certainly raises some eyebrows! Interesting!
Venus: it was the stupidest vote they could’ve made.
Meanwhile, Venus is voting for Q. 😂😂😂
Yeah, I wish he brought that up. After she just said somebody should drag her along because they would win against win. While everybody literally just publicly agreed to each other they would never vote Q at the final 3, then everybody including her desperately wanted him out immediately after that.
At the live show in Chicago people were SO bummed it was Venus. Such an entertaining player! Really hope they bring her back.
Love Venus, and I'm so glad this interview felt like a positive experience for her, for a change. I would root for her again in a heartbeat.
This was a fantastic interview. Very disappointing to hear that she was still treated poorly at Ponderosa.
One of the most beautiful Survivor plays to date, but messed up when she said, "I got something up my sleeve..." KILLED HER GAME!!! so sad
not the happy mothers day rob !! 💀💀💀😭
Hahah i love venus. She seems like a load of fun
I can’t even watch this dull season but I’ll watch your podcast about lol.
i loveeee venus!! want more of her
I was rooting for Venus from the very beginning because not only is she super gorgeous but her energy comes off as pure and genuine.
Venus for Traitors, plz!! She's great, so fun, so cool- Chaos Kas 2.0!!
The moment she said she said she would feel terrible if she walked out with an idol. I knew what was going to happen.
really smart of Charlie in my opinion to take out venus and get the others to do so as well. I could see really any combination for a final 3 at this point im so confused.
my first guess of a final 3 is maybe Charlie, Ben and Kenzie
then maybe Maria, Q and Kenzie.
I think we are looking at a Q or Maria final 4 boot in fire making.
if ur maria do you feel good about bringing Q to the end? or is she becoming to much of a enemy now.
I love Venus so much🥹
For me the best part of Season 46 was Venus. I was so disappointed when she got voted off. I was screaming "play the idol!" at my TV. 🤣
I actually respect her a lot!
Hated how she was treated by her tribe mates.
Of course sweet Angel Hunter would play Scrabble with her. They actually make a cute couple, haha
I haven't seen a player this bitter and have that much lack of accountability since Cassidy 😂
Wow I’m not gunna lie I didn’t love Venus throughout the season, but this made me respect her so much more
Yes i agree. Maybe they did give her a bad edit
We need a reunion for this season 😩
Sis said she is a very chilled person, "girl you were not even chilled in this interview" wow and I do not think so many people could be wrong about someone [I don't know] . I believe there is a time to speak up and there is a time to listen and chill.
Survivor Season 46: I Ain't Gonna Play My Immunity Idol
This interview made me like her more! So bummed she went with the idol in her pocket!!
@6:03 -- did she just reveal that Q doesn't make it to the end??
she’s so Big Brother coded 😭 Alison Grodner please do your job correctly and cast this legend
I really wanted Venus to go farther…can’t believe the amount of hidden immunities not being played during the tribal councils
