UNUSUAL DRYWALL REPAIR and how to overcome oddities

  • A long time customer from Willingboro, New Jersey reached out because she needed drywall repair to restore an area where a plumber had to cut open the wall behind her toilet in order to access the plumbing cleanout.
In hopes to not spend money repairing the wall more than once she wanted an access panel installed. You might initially think this is a very standard procedure, but as you will see in this video, it's unique in its own way.
We didn't see this job prior to arriving at the home and while we brought everything we thought we would need, we didn't bring an escutcheon, but that's okay because the client went to the store and purchased one so that we could continue working.
We had more than just this drywall job as Kitana was replacing two ceiling fans, repairing fallen curtain rod hangers and diagnosing and repairing a faulty outlet which had to be upgraded to a GFCI due to its proximity to a bathroom sink, just opposite of the drywall repair.
Enjoy the video, I hope it helps someone out at least a little or at the very least, entertains you for 20 minutes and I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.
    Cheers,
    Bob & Kitana

WOW!! That is a very nice transformation. I wasn’t aware of those spring-action panels.

The access panels are quite common and come in sizes such as 6x9, 8x8 and the 14x14 locally but I’m sure other sizes are also available.
      Thank you,
      Bob
