I adore the soft color variations on her face and body. They add such a magical iridescent touch! ♡ㅅ♡ I was dying to know how you made that tail ever since I saw her photo. That must be the most beautiful mermaid tail I've ever seen! Happy Halloween you two :D
Layla/Aisha looks great. If you do a dark version of Stella, I think it would be fun to see you try implementing more moon themed elements on her design, as a reference to how she's technically supposed to be the fairy of both the sun and moon.

I imagined a story, how could Layla turn this way
In one of her battles, she was very brutally hurt and fell to the storming ocean. Everyone thought that she died, and it was impossible to find her body. But Layla survived. On her last peak, she casted an underwater breathing spell, and tried to keep all her bones and flesh on place with morphix. She layed in the deepest cracks of the ocean ground, hoping, that someone will find her, help her, that her family is seeking for her. But nobody came. In complete darkness, Layla lost both her hope, and her kind and humble heart.
That was the moment, when she started to become of what we see now. At first, she tried to save her legs and belly part, but they were completely useless under the water, and too damaged. So she found the skeleton of some water creature, and used it as a wire to her new tail. A lot of magic went for her eyes finally able to see in the darkness without any source of light. For fins and underwater breathing organs to grow. To heal every wound she had.
While every young fairy got their silly Enchantinx "transformation", Layla actually transformed into something new. A monster.
Soon rumors started to grow, about very dangerous creature, who drowned and ate a lot of fairies and other creatures. But no one could recognise their long lost princess in this really beautiful and angel singing mermaid. They were all stunned by her colourful body and beauty, but adoration quickly erased itself, as soon as they dive in after her, and saw her bone tail and very, very, sharp teeth...
A dark Flora would be interesting. I could imagine her having maybe thornns wrapped around her arm or maybe even a thorn tattoo
Or resemble poisonous plants
Or thorn crown-👀
I was thinking this but cross her with poison ivy!

oh, Aisha turned out amazing! The Morphix tail is INSPIRED and I love it so much. I especially love how the bone details and the crown also look like bleached coral, it helps drive the evil vibe so well.
I'd be interested on how would you guys do a Dark Stella, especially since turning the power of Light evil is always a treat.
A absolutely stunning doll, I agree with the scary can be colorful concept! I think it's a fun challenge to try and make spooky characters with all those vibrant colors

She's simply stunning, the tail is unlike anything I've ever seen! Also I would LOVE to see a dark Tecna with glitchy effects, like she was infected by an evil virus >:)

I'd love to see dark flora (the nature fairie if she has a different name in your country). She was always my favourite as a kid. Maybe base her on poisonous and dangerous nature?

Stunning! I've heard people complain that 3D printers makes sculpting too easy but they clearly have no idea how much work it takes to design and then finish up a piece.

I love her sm, winx content gives me life. It feeds the part of me that always wanted (and still wants tbh) to be a sparkly colorful gorgeous fairy. I certainly would not mind the rest of the girls 👀👀 also, may I just say Alex’s henna is absolutely inspired today, stunning 🤩

I had this idea of a transparent body on a mermaid for a months in my head! I must say that your approach (transparent segments with hollow bone space to fill) is not something that I was thinking of, but it is brilliant :) Another great work, girls! Your creativity always amazes me :)

I love the Winx characters, but I haven't watched the series in forever. I've always loved Flora and I think a cool idea would be black vines and darker colored natural elements if you do her in this style.

That translucent tail looks amazing. It would be cool to see Tecna as a dark mermaid, you can give her glow in the dark paint to look like electronics.

I saw the thumbnail and thought there was some really cool monster high doll that had a translucent tail because I couldn’t comprehend that somebody crafted that. Wow! So gorgeous and magical!

And as a more darker sided person growing up, mixing that dark aesthetic with one of my surprisingly favourite childhood shows growing up gives me a sense of completeness and foreign nostalgia. her tail fin and her crown, to me, resemble dead coral more than bone. but considering there was a whole season where they were trying to save the ocean from pollution, I think this just makes the whole doll so much cooler.

I love the Dark Winx series! My sister and I used to love them- we had a little model of the school and a bunch of dolls. Flora was always my favorite, though, so a poisonous version of her would be so cool!

That tail is maybe the coolest I have ever seen on doll customization! I think i could be done without a 3D printer as well, which would be neat to make (sculpt the tail, cast the parts in silicone, sculpt bones, cast resin in molds around bones). But 3D printing is so much fun!
The molding casting process was my first idea, but it would require a lot more let's put it simply, work 😅 also we don't have too much equipment for casting (vacuum chambers to cast complex stuff seems necessary) so printing just minimized the risk of failure (which we failed a few times anyway)
