    I remember like 5+ years ago terran would play the mass marine+medicvac style where they'd hit a midgame timing like this and then just put their foot on the gas and never let up (Clem in particular was famously good at applying relentless pressure this way). It seems Serral is now doing this with ling+bane....amazing to see (reminds me of Reynor's Protoss game v. Serral where he played a 'swarmy' style with Protoss which we don't really see from actual Protoss players at the highest level).

  • @JKBrown-vv1yw
    @JKBrown-vv1yw Месяц назад +9

    I just realized that Zerg can counter widow mines by burrowing all targets, removing the lock-on, then unborrowing one and forcing the widow mine to target wherever it goes. Without burning a scan or having it nearby detection, Zerg can more deliberately use the mine to kill the Terran.
    Or, with really cute micro, use borrow/unborrow/burrow to just waltz by without getting locked onto at all.

    • @starcraft2own
      @starcraft2own Месяц назад +5

      It's not actually a counter. Counter means it's strong against. If i was a terran and my widowmines forced the zerg to burrow his entire army, even for a couple of seconds, i consider that value for the widowmine. Same thing with the burrow/unborrow zigzag movement. The widowmine essentially becomes a massive slowing field.
      In other words, it benefits the widowmine more than the zerg player to avoid being hit, so it's the opposite of a counter.

      Cool to hear, it's my main style in all matchups! to me it's the most fun and wins feels more rewarding because it takes a lot of speed and finesse. Since you played a lot of Muta Ling maybe you can relate to what I'm going to say : Do you remember playing ZvP right before they introduce Phoenix range? Protoss was completely hopeless, I just build 10 then 20 then 40 Mutas with lings and erase P at any time lmao Now it takes a lot of effort vs Terran, they have so many counters, Protoss you kind of need to surprise them or mislead them and Zerg vs Zerg it is still and always has been a great strategy.

    I dont underdtand why they never use raven against buried unité, also keep 1 or 2 viking to préventoversea you got free kill if there are no queen neqrby and it might also increase the chances of survival of mines but especially the liberators seem to be useful only for ground targets while they have good area 3 or 4 damage would have done the job defensively with towers or marines

    Stephano style! He could beat anyone using mass lings and he had amazing surrounds, Serral is overall better of course. Zerglings are underrated in SC2, I think it's the best unit in the game; very high speed, high DPS, low cost... yes they have low health but if you can save them with good multitask it becomes irrelevant, with high skills Zerglings are devastating!
