Some of the best moments of my life were spent with my daddy watching The Braves. When he was in the hospital, I was visiting him, the Braves were coming on & the doc said, tell him whats happening, he can hear you. I was not so sure, but I did tell him every play & when they won, I said, they won Daddy, the Braves won! He squeezed my hand. That was the last ballgame I ever watched with my dad, he died later that night, but I will treasure it as long as live.
I feel for You, my Dad was a Red Sox Fan, He didn't live long enough to see or Hear them winning the Series. I gave up on the Sox and became a Braves Fan when I moved to Florida in 1980 and the Braves won Me a Championship.
I can finally take Mark Wohlers off my enemies list! '96 belonged to the Braves until...please see game 4, bottom of the 8th, HR given up to Leyritz throwing his 'slider'. '21 was one owed to "us".
I am 35 years old and remember watching this game as a little boy back in 1995. I can remember how happy I was when Grissom caught that ball in the 9th. We just beat the Dodgers in game 2 of the NLCS and I have faith that the Braves are going all the way this year. Come on Bravos, let's do it! 21 years ago today. I was 16 years old, a junior in high school, living in Woodstock, Georgia. It was not just exhilaration, and pure joy that the Atlanta Braves won a World Series. I remember it was also a sense of relief. 14 Division championships in a row. That will never be done, in any sport, at any time in the future. The Atlanta Braves only won one World Series, 1995, but I'll take. Just like when I took my number one team, the Chicago White Sox, winning it all ten years later, 2005. All those people who criticize the Braves for only winning one World Series? Go sit on it! I would relive this season, this World Series, the moment of victory all over again if I could. Relish every championship your team wins, you may only get one in your lifetime. Live for these moments and cherish them. Thank you Atlanta Braves for 1995!
My son was 17. He got home from work in time to watch them win the World Series and sat on the floor in front of the TV in total disbelief. "I'm in denial", he kept saying over and over again. I remember getting up the next morning and making a special trip to a shopping mall which was 25 miles away to buy World Series t-shirts for both of us. After I got home, I turned on the radio to hear the station playing James Earl Jones' "People will come" monologue from "Field of Dreams". I still get chills whenever I hear it. What a great moment for Atlanta sports that was. I am just thankful that my parents lived long enough to see them win the World Series. They were enthusiastic Braves fans.
Let me state for the record if President Carter were 75 I'd vote for him & I'd be crossing party lines. This man has the highest credibility rating in the world & it's a shame he's unable to run. Humbled after 1980, this man can lead this economic locomotive through the thicket & conflict awaiting the U.S. God Bless Mr. Carter. 🙏🇺🇸
1:39:53 I come back to this every year and watch it again. It isn't about this being one of the only times the Braves have gone to the World Series - it's about the hope of childhood. Seeing your team finally go the distance. You knew the sky was the limit. This is a moment in time I constantly go back to when I need a pick me up. This is the ultimate feel good moment.
Man this is so heartbreaking to watch. I've been a huge Indians fan since I was born in 1999 and introduced to baseball. I learned about how good the Tribe were in the '90s but never saw what actually happened. After seeing this and Game 7 in '97, I can't help but just be saddened. Atlanta sure had a hell of a team though
That's very true man. Belle, Manny, lofton, Thome, Murray, Baerga, Omar, etc. and they still just couldn't quite get there. That's tough, but hey, not to discredit your Braves! As much as I hate it, they had incredible talent on their team too! Hard to beat a 1-2-3 of Maddux-Glavine-Smoltz
I was in my freshman year of college in 1995, being born in 1977, and I remember watching this World Series in my dormitory lobby with some other guys.
Tim McCarver incidentally, was working on ABC's coverage of the '95 World Series (ABC and NBC split the coverage because of the '94 strike and to salvage what was left of their soon to be terminated "Baseball Network" joint-venture) w/ Al Michaels and Jim Palmer and would've called a prospective Game 7.
I remember this game like it was yesterday! I was in Jr high and my uncle invited me over to his house to watch it because he had a huge tv.(and really good snacks!) I knew after Justice got that home run that..this is it, we're going to win this! I still have a Justice folder I used for a long time when I was in school. unfortunately, it is torn up, taped together and so on..I can't seem to part with it, so I kept it and stored it away!! Go Braves!!
The Braves deserved more than one championship in the 90's. 1991, lost in the WS, 92 lost in the WS, 93 lost in the NLCS, 95 won the WS, 96 lost in the WS after winning the first two games and actually lead game 4 by 6-0 before giving that game away, game 5 they lost 1-0 and game 6 they lost 3-2. They could have easily won that series. 1997 lost NLCS in 6 to the Marlins who won the WS that year. 98 lost in the NLCS again, and again in 6 games. 99 lost to the Yankees in WS. 14 straight division titles. That's gotta be one of the greatest decade long runs in baseball history. 5 trips to the WS and 3 trips to the NLCS? Shame they are so terrible these days.
My late grandmother was at this game. She and my grandfather shared season tickets with 2 other couples they were friends with and this game happened to be their turn on the rotation. Miss her every day.
Coming here to see and congratulate the braves for you guys are 2 innings away from winning 2021 world series and thanks for shutting up them cheater Astros . You guys deserved it 👏 coming from a Chicago white Sox fan .
lol shut them up? that 2021 astros pitching rotation/bullpen was utterly taxed from the regular season and filled with inexperienced pitchers. it's a miracle they made it as far as they did but whatever. Also found it funny you'd call them cheaters yet this isn't even the same astros team mate, you and the people liking your dumb comment are all brain dead.
I had just graduated High School in May and as a die hard Braves fan, this is a moment I will NEVER FORGET! And to get the Lone Run from D. Justice who wasn't the most popular guy coming into the game.. I love it..
I was on my job on that faithful night when the Braves won it all in '95. On my knees & arms up triumphantly when the great Vin Scully made that call for the final out in this game, "And the Atlanta Braves are the champions of the baseball world!"
I grew up watching the Braves with my Grandfather he was there number one fan the new Braves of 2019 have a chance to do something special an know my Grandfather would luv these Braves
***** I say the 1998 and 1999 Yankees were better than the 1995 Braves. Those two Yankee teams were so dominant because they had only one must win game in those two seasons which was Game 4 of the 1998 ALCS against the Indians. Just my take.
Arsen Akopyan In terms of division titles and league pennants, the Braves were dominant for the entire 1990s, but it was all about World Championships that matters the most and the Braves are huge underachievers in that department.
One of the best nights of my life because seeing the team you support for years finally win is very satisfying. Watching this game after the Braves won 21 world series offers a fresh perspective.
What a magical time in baseball! What a decade! As a Braves fan this is very special. The names on those jerseys Braves fans of my era will never forget. Thank you boys!
They made me love baseball. Lived in Buffalo and was absolutely a fan. It feels amazing seeing the talent they have now. but this team was special, everyone seemed to play amazing. So many different contributors and their stars were clutch. Those loses hurt, you knew how special they were, so when those vets won, this felt amazing. One of my favorite teams and it feet happy seeing these vets finally win it. I miss hearing these voices call games.
shouldnt have traded justice dude was always clutch and glad he called out the fans...wish someone would have called out the 2000's...Braves are conservative we need players that speak up
No social media promotion. Ads weren’t nearly as annoying. I cant believe how chill this is for a potential (and what ended up being) final game of the World Series. It really does show the difference in times Also, I love you Braves. I’m a Michigan boy but you were my favorite team since I was 6 years old because of TBS. Javy Lopez will always be my favorite, even when he thinks he knocks it out of the park but it gets caught on the warning track
It’s only been a few short weeks during this pandemic, but I yearn for the days when we’ll be able to be together in stadiums like this again. One day soon, it will be for another Braves World Series victory!
Still gives me goosebumps!! Watching classic baseball while in quarantine..if you can't get the real thing. This pitching performance by Tom Glavine could be considered or is among one of the greatest pitching performances in WS history besides the Don Larson perfect game. 8 innings 1 hit 8 K's...That Braves starting pitching staff had 3 future HOF's...Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine. I was 14 yrs old and being from Atlanta and watching them when they were absolutely awful and then the worst to first season happened in 90-91 and then watching them lose in 2 previous trips before this and when this finally happened oh man it was amazing...cried tears of joy our family as a whole put many hours into those 90's Braves and it finally paid off. Pure Bliss
What's ironic is, I don't know if this was a more talented team than the ones in '92, '93, '94, or '96. But probably for the first time since 1991, they were the underdog. And I think the temporary reprieve from the burden of expectation is what did it for them. Still can't believe they blew a 2-0 going home lead to the Yankees in 1996.
The truth is MLB baseball bias umpiring and steroid era use of steriods blew a 20 year relationships with Middle America and African Americans that embraced the Braves. The World Series ratings after that debacle in 1996 saw the Yankees World Series games of the late 90s lost to TV sitcoms and pro wrestling of the late 90s and regular season football games. It biased towards the Yankees, and Black America and Middle America saw this and baseball got to hockey levels in popularity that even White kids started playing soccer more than baseball. After this World Series Black people in the Black Mecca of Atlanta understood how baseball at that time felt about cities like Atlanta and how it felt about Black Americans and people of color so the higher ratings went to the NFL and NBA and Black youth began going there instead of baseball. This World Series showed that MLB at the time favored the big market instead of Middle America and that they did not embrace Black America and the team that Black America embraced so baseball got its ratings from older White viewers and from the New York area off the northeast and White kids in Middle America began playing soccer and the World Series games lost in the ratings to regular season NFL games and TV sitcoms that still valued Middle America and Black America.
I am a diehard Atlanta fan i rep my city till i die and as a non transplant and actually being born and raised here i say that this is the greatest moment ever for me in sports...PERIOD! After all these years after all the 16 divison titles the 2 wild cards the 5 nl pennants and this world series makes me proud of where i come from. Born in 94 but reppin since 66 and forever. Forever I Love Atlanta!
Been a Braves fan since the 70's, and they played the best baseball in their history in the 90's, it was an exciting time for Braves fan's. As for the team of the 90's, it was media created because they were the talk of baseball most every year in that decade, especially with having some of the best pitching ever seen in the game. GO BRAVES in 2014
Watching this with my daughters as we get ready for 2022 season to defend our title. They asked me how I was after Dave Justice HR. I told them I was like Leo Mazzone and just kept rocking in front of the TV 😅. Of course they don't know who that is. I told them that our 2021 WS was a bit more special because we weren't expected to win it. Not like we were in the 90s. All in all it was awesome watching the 95 braves win it as a 13 year old kid. Thanks TBS and Ted Turner for making me a part of Braves County.
The Atlanta Braves won the most head to head against every team they played during their 14 straight division championships run. The Braves will always be the team of the 90s. The Yankees and Blue Jays lost for most of the decade. The history books worldwide calls the Braves the team of the 90s. That is a real nickname for the Braves. Just like the Amazin' Mets. You can't change history. The Braves are and will always be the only team of the 90s in baseball!
The Yankees didn't make the playoffs in 93, they only played half a season in 1994 and there was no playoffs. The were good in the second half of the 90s but they did not win as near as much games as the Braves and did not make the playoffs most of the decade so that is why all the sports writers in America named the Braves the team of the 90s. The Braves beat Yankees in the regular season mostly. The Braves would beat a lot of teams in the regular season year after year and then lose to those same teams in the playoffs like the Marlins, Astros, Yankees, Cubs, Phillies and Giants. Braves were the overall best team of the 90s and that is why they are called the team of the 90s.
It is about who was the team the was the best the whole decade. That is why the Braves are the team of the 90s! It's not about the team that was the best the most times only in certain years. It was who was the best from 1990 to 1999 and that is why Bobby Cox and the Braves of the 90s are in the hall of fame!
@@JoseAlvarado-nl4pi They won 14 straight division championships a world record in sports and they had a winning record against every team they played for 14 years in a row and they won the World Series. They are have 5 Hall Of Fame players and mangers. They are the only team in history to do all that. Those are world record stars that have never been done before. You are just a stupid idiot that does not know anything about baseball. They are a great team that has 5 Hall Of Famers so far and probably more on the way. They are so great that no other sports team has ever had that with one championship team. Eat your heart out. They are the best and their Hall Of Fame inductions of this 1995 World Champion Braves team proves it!
17:15 it shows that Lemke was actually safe on the stolen base, then Chipper hits single on next pitch so its possibly a lost run that they could've scored, and if they had lost by one run it would've made a big difference but thank goodness they WON!
Question, why was David Justice being booed by our own fans? I was born in ‘93 so I was too young to remember this series. Edit: I just looked it up and apparently he had angered the fans by saying they were too quiet and needed more energy, but was forgiven after his homer in this game to give us the lead and ultimately secure the win. I learned something new today. Anyway, congrats to our 2021 World Series champs the Atlanta Braves!! LFG!!
This is a great call considering how well they have built their farm system back up from 2006 onward. Albies, Acuna Jr, Swanson, and a plethora of arms. Hopefully one of those arms harness's the control to be legit 1-2 punch.
The Atlanta Braves were the team of the 90s because they beat the Yankees and every other team most of the time, yes they lost to some of those teams in the playoffs but those were upset loses and overall in head to head games the Braves beat every team the most, the Braves won 9 straight division championships,5 NL championships and the Braves won the 1995 World Series, that makes the Atlanta Braves the only team of the 90s.
There is no debate. The Braves were the only team of the 90s because they won the most games and dominated the whole decade. The Yankees did not. However that was 2 decades ago. Go fudge yourself and stop arguing about games that happened 20 years ago and find something better to do with your time like get laid. You dumbo.
+TolitoGangster The Atlanta Braves did dominate the regular season in the 90's and early 2000's, there's no question about that. The playoffs, however, that's a different story. This was their only World Series victory.
+TolitoGangster LOL, you're still at it, you're full of dog poop. The Atlanta Braves did not win the most championships in the 90's, the Toronto Blue Jays won 2, and the Yankees won 3 in the 90's. It's all about the championships.
The Atlanta Braves won the most games by far of any baseball team that played in the 90s! The Atlanta Braves won the 1995 World Series and they are named the team of the 90s!
The old saying of "Good pitching stops good hitting", if a young fan ever asked me what that means, I would show them the '95 World Series, and this game in particular.... This performance by Tommy Glavine, it was a masterpiece
I have a feeling the Braves will finally get over that hump in the next two years and get back to a World Series. I think their final piece is simply a shutdown closer. One of their existing young arms will emerge as a top ace(Soroka, Toussaint, Folty, etc.)
Some wonderful memories, thanks much for MLB for making this available. Before this game aired, the Braves had a celebration for Fulton County Stadium (this was the last game to be played there, if I recall correctly). I've been trying to get a copy of that (video) presentation, in which many former Braves greats appeared, for nearly two decades. Maybe it will show up on RUclips someday.
I will always respect the Braves because of their great 90s teams, Sheffield McGriff Justice, and more exciting, Maddux Galvine Smoltz. It was humbling and honorable to have the Giants pitchers be compared to those guys. As far as team of the 90s, the Braves did have the most success winning more games than anyone, every year, going to the playoffs every year, and with respect to the great Blue Jays JOE CARTAH!! who won 2 WS, and the great Yankees who won a whopping 3 WS, the Braves did dominate more overall, but you could say the Yankees were as well. But the team of the 90s in overall sports goes to the Chicago Bulls, who we all deeply miss.
I was 7 an an Indians fan watching this lol....I was so devastated.....Excited to see the Braves and Indians battle it out starting tomorrow. Maybe a rematch 18 years later, who knows??
FreakishPower that tribe team had the most devastating lineup I’ve ever seen. And I’m 63. Braves pitchers benefited from an extra wide strike zone. That winter the rules comity decided to go back to the rule book strike zone. A year too late for da tribe
Yeah they were stacked with some seasoned vets! I was around 12 at the time been a Braves fan every since! and David J. one of if not my favorite player of all time, along with many others
i’ve lived in Boston my whole life, but i’ve been a Braves fan my whole life… i got hooked on them as a kid because they were always on TV on TBS….and i’ve always been hated by Red Sox fans around here lol…. i always wore my Chipper jersey in October in the 90s
Had to come watch this because hopefully 2nite we're gonna win our 2nd WORLD SERIES in ATLANTA this time over the Astros!! I was 15 years old then, it's been a long 26 years!!But I remember it like it was yesterday, me and my best friend were riding around town smoking blunts like we did as kids so we had it on the radio. When it got to the 8th inning we HAD to find a t.v. sumwhere to watch so we went to a "Super K-Mart" and watched in the electronics section. When Marquis Grissom caught the final out we went crazy!!! HOPEFULLY 2NITE THEY'LL WIN & ILL GO CRAZY AGAIN!! GO BRAVES!!!
Tom Glavine had a look about him that night (in his eyes) that just said "locked in" (or may be I'm just imagining it). A one hit masterpiece. Think about those bats: Lofton, Ramirez, Thome, Belle....held under a .200 avg for the series. I miss the days of the starting pitcher. The middle inning pressure created by the threat of the steal. My Dad started taking me to games in 1982, when I was 7. I saw many a lean year (fun fact: Georgia Welcome centers use to give out, for free, coupons to Braves games...Now it costs as much to park in the red deck at Truist as it did to go to a Braves game in 1988). This is one of my happiest sports memories. It was great to see them win in '21. Not the same, but still great. .... I was glad they were talking about taking he Commissioner's Trophy to Cox after this last one. Go Braves!
Yep, I was 8 years old when this happened too, I remember sitting on the floor crossed legged in front of the TV, I nearly had to close my eyes on that last fly ball to Grissom. It's a moment that has been etched into my memory ever since. Can't wait for October!
The Cleveland Indians Had Another Chance In 1997 To Win The World Series But Lost To The Florida Marlins In Game 7 & Lost The Series In Shocking Fashion. Jose Mesa Blows A Save And Edger Renteria Scores The Winning Hit And RBI To Seal The Indians' Fate And The Tribe Had Not Been Back To World Series Since 1997. That's A Shame.
Some of the best moments of my life were spent with my daddy watching The Braves. That's a great story! Glad your father got the chance to see/hear about them winning a championship.

he said a game, not game 6 of world series
lovesfreedomtoo we need another great baseball movie after reading this
U dont have to say daddy

Yes sir our GM made the 4 moves for them bats including getting salore the WS MVP GM of the century
Justice's home run is one of the best moments of my childhood. I remember sitting with my dad watching and vein. So excited. The 90's were awesome.
Tim Thompson it was always fun watching baseball with my dad. Especially this game.
Why was he booed
My grandparents loved the braves in the 90's before they passed away. I remember watching just about every game on TBS! The good ole days!
I remember watching this game in my basement with my cousins and losing our minds. We had Pizza hut, Taco Bell and Mountain Dew. What a great night.
So, in short, you guys enjoyed a King's feast?
Well done sir. Very well done.
i want some 1995 food

I think we all have the same story man. Spent many days as a kid hitting rocks in the yard pretending to be the guys.
No your not lying that was a very special time! I lived here since 1990 and these were the best times of my life
I am a braves fan
They were so much fun to watch. Watching this game was like watching the pieces of a puzzle finally come together. Absolute perfection.
Should've been there in the 70s my brother and I were hank Aaron dusty Baker Ralph garr etc.

My childhood heroes. Now they're all retired and some in the hall of fame. Man I'm getting old.
Jacob Stratton Why couldn't you just leave it at "childhood heroes" part? I wanted to believe I was watching a game from just last year.
26 years later Atlanta is city of champions once again! 😎🎉🥳🎉🏆

This was the last game I saw with my grandfather. He was a Braves fan since they were in Boston.
Man, Bob Ueker was just delightful in the booth, here.
+Agent of Chaos Hell, Bob Costas and Bob Eucker for Fox.
+Agent of Chaos You mean Motormouth McCarver?
Tim McCarver incidentally, was working on ABC's coverage of the '95 World Series (ABC and NBC split the coverage because of the '94 strike and to salvage what was left of their soon to be terminated "Baseball Network" joint-venture) w/ Al Michaels and Jim Palmer and would've called a prospective Game 7.
LOVE that call! "The team of the 90s has its world championship!" Thanks costas!
Great call, but Skip & Pete's call on radio was WAAAAAY BETTER!
@@wwetnabamafan194 Skip's call of Sid's slide was better still. God I miss Skip.
And it would be their only championship of the 90’s :(
Turned out to be extremely premature as the Yankees would become the true team of the '90s.
@@redpillfreedom6692 no they werent
It's hard to believe this has been almost 25 years ago. I remember this game well.
It will never get old. For all Braves fans, this is the crowning moment. Glavine is a Hall of Famer!
7 years old at the time. Glad I was alive to remember this moment as a kid. Now i hope 23 years later they do it this year.
Go Braves! 2018 baby.
Go Braves 2021!!! As a Giants fan, I hope they can bring the chop down against the Dodgers 😎
@@MickeyThomas408 Were in the World Series!!!!!! Vs the Astros
We did it tonight!!!!!
We Won IT ALLLL!!!
ALL I CAN SAY IS...IT'S. ABOUT. TIME.
IT HASN'T HAPPENED FOR 26 YEARS. THE ATLANTA BRAVES ARE THE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS.
This was the best game I ever watched...for so many reasons. I was 9 years old when I originally watched this. It was simply magical. Go Braves!
Go Braves!!
Fly the W and now you’re a cubs fan?
@@DrunkenSlob so true
My mother was the biggest Braves I know. This game meant the world to her. I love you in heaven mom ❤
Shame they are so terrible these days.
so true man
They need a coach as Bobby Cox.
Don't remind me of my teen years lol I still love my braves though
arnola88gt Sorry, just stating the truth, sometimes the truth hurts! LOL. Lot of Respect to the 90's Braves. I am a Sox fan btw.
+Ali Kringel my dad's a dam Yankees fan. the marlins? ahh. I would say they had us in 97 and 03. besides that the marlins are gaahbage lol
My late grandmother was at this game. She and my grandfather shared season tickets with 2 other couples they were friends with and this game happened to be their turn on the rotation. Miss her every day.
Watching before game 6 tonight. Go Braves!!
Coming here to see and congratulate the braves for you guys are 2 innings away from winning 2021 world series and thanks for shutting up them cheater Astros . You guys deserved it 👏 coming from a Chicago white Sox fan .
Thank you! Our city really needed this championship after all the recent letdowns.
lol shut them up? that 2021 astros pitching rotation/bullpen was utterly taxed from the regular season and filled with inexperienced pitchers. it's a miracle they made it as far as they did but whatever. Also found it funny you'd call them cheaters yet this isn't even the same astros team mate, you and the people liking your dumb comment are all brain dead.
Finally!!! Braves!!!! YES!!!! Yeah they coulda won more World Series, but they finally got 1. To go with all the rest of their success... Go Braves!!!
I had just graduated High School in May and as a die hard Braves fan, this is a moment I will NEVER FORGET! And to get the Lone Run from D. Justice who wasn't the most popular guy coming into the game.. I love it..
Watching this after the Braves made the 2021 World Series to face the Astros, let's get a repeat of 1995!!!
Let’s hope they close it out tonight
They did!
So thankful for YT allowing me to relive this World Series.
Go BRAVES!!
2:11:45 The team of the 90's has its world championship.
***** I say the 1998 and 1999 Yankees were better than the 1995 Braves. Those two Yankee teams were so dominant because they had only one must win game in those two seasons which was Game 4 of the 1998 ALCS against the Indians.
Just my take.
cangri1788 Team of the 90's my ass! 92 and 93 Jays own all. Remember when we beat your tomahawk chop asses in 92?
SuperStrik9 I was just quoting Bob Costas line and as far as I know the team of the decade were the Yankees.
SuperStrik9 The Blue Jays & Yankees were more clutch, but the Braves were dominant for the entire decade.
Good Ole Fulton County stadium! I was 10 when they won! Great memories!
What a magical time in baseball! What a decade! As a Braves fan this is very special. The names on those jerseys Braves fans of my era will never forget. Thank you boys!
Who else is here after we just won it all again? 1995 WOLRD CHAMPIONS, 2021 WORLD CHAMPIONS! GO BRAVES!
Was a junior in High School and I was at this game. Greatest moment in my sports watching life!
Glavine: nastiest circle-change ever
The broadcaster’s are the 🐐 Love this time in baseball ⚾️
Man just hearing that chop chant has my heart bumping. I know how this ends but right now im hype to watch this
They made me love baseball. I miss hearing these voices call games.
ah 6 year old me thought this would be the first of many. Hopefully today can end all the years of misery from 1995 to now.
Thats my childhood I remember watching this game with my folks.
shouldnt have traded justice dude was always clutch and glad he called out the fans...wish someone would have called out the 2000's...Braves are conservative we need players that speak up
No social media promotion. Ads weren’t nearly as annoying. I cant believe how chill this is for a potential (and what ended up being) final game of the World Series. It really does show the difference in times
Also, I love you Braves.
He time has come! It’s going to happen 2-0 against dodgers… I’m ready!!!!
@@alexpearson7693 man I hope you’re right
Still gives me goosebumps!! Pure Bliss
PLEASE Braves win the world series again TONIGHT!!
This Is The Braves I Grew Up Watching As A Kid
My Father Is A Die Hard Atlanta Braves Fan
What's ironic is, I don't know if this was a more talented team than the ones in '92, '93, '94, or '96. But probably for the first time since 1991, they were the underdog. And I think the temporary reprieve from the burden of expectation is what did it for them. Still can't believe they blew a 2-0 going home lead to the Yankees in 1996.
+Manu Ginobilis Bald Spot They shouldn't have, the umpires were being dirty.
The Dadgers team, Ares the Best and Fernando Valenzuela play very good.

Their pitchers got some extra rest with the strike season and few games off that year...
Watching this in October 2019, right after Braves rally in the 9th to beat the Cardinals. We might just get back here this year
And we choked our asses off in game 5
1:39:50 Justice's scoring shot.
Most memorable flip of a bat in Braves history
Was that your buddy Bill Murray? 1:40:22
Keep your eyes on the catcher the entire time.🤣
I am a diehard Atlanta fan i rep my city till i die and as a non transplant and actually being born and raised here i say that this is the greatest moment ever for me in sports...PERIOD!
GO BRAVES in 2014
Braves lookin good number 1 in NL so far. Go braves
If it makes you feel better about yourself and your team lol then sure you can cling on to this lol only 1 ring to show for it though lmao
@@TolitoGangster pretty lame team of the decade with 1 championship lmaoooo
I still get chills watching Gris squeeze that last out. I truly miss that baseball team. Justice was my favorite player growing up. Clutch here.
I know! He later said he didn’t know if anyone else could get to it, but he damned sure was.
THIS GAME WAS IN ATLANTA NOT CLEVELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BRAVES
still gives me chills
LFG!!
ATL will bring back the world series title and we shall win it. I'm calling it
Hopefully soon.
As a born dodgers fan living in Atlanta I’d like that
This is a great call considering how well they have built their farm system back up from 2006 onward. Albies, Acuna Jr, Swanson, and a plethora of arms. Hopefully one of those arms harness's the control to be legit 1-2 punch.
They might this year
This could go 7 games. We got to score runs and not commit errors.
Watching this now to pump me up for tonight.
12 years later Tavarez finally got his WS ring with the Red Sox!!
It's 2015 and the New York team in the World Series in this era of baseball is the New York Mets. That is the present time we live in.
The Atlanta Braves won the most games by far of any baseball team that played in the 90s! The Atlanta Braves won the 1995 World Series and they are named the team of the 90s!
Braves 2021 World Series Champs!
21 years later, I hope we can do this again. What an amazing moment back then.
O great memories the Braves were so good back then. But I'm still proud of the Braves!
magical night of my childhood right there!!!, ... Go Braves!!...
congrats to Glavine and maddux 1st time ballot hall of famers
The old saying of "Good pitching stops good hitting", if a young fan ever asked me what that means, I would show them the '95 World Series, and this game in particular.... This performance by Tommy Glavine, it was a masterpiece
10:31 I would love to hear this Tomahawk Chop again at Suntrust!
I was 4 years old but I can still remember watching this game!! I think Bryce Harper and good quality starting pitching is what we're missing!!
Who's watching after the Braves won it all again in 2021?
I'm not a Braves fan, but it's just cool to look back at their first championship after their recent World Series win!
How did you find footage of our 1914 championship lol
They won a few before this
I was 7 an an Indians fan watching this lol....I was so devastated.....Excited to see the Braves and Indians battle it out starting tomorrow. Maybe a rematch 18 years later, who knows??
Braves fan here. Remember holding my Tom Glavine Autographed ball the whole game. But damn that Indians team was stacked with studs.
I want the Braves to win another World series. Best of luck this season.
Not happening dude, no pitching.

The Braves had the best pitching trio in the history of baseball here.
26 years later...
The Braves are champions once again!
Go Braves!
2021 and they finally won another.
Finally gave that franchise that 2nd one they always wanted after 96 and since 95 ended and really should have since 91
Yep, I was 8 years old when this happened too, I remember sitting on the floor crossed legged in front of the TV, I nearly had to close my eyes on that last fly ball to Grissom.
I became a Braves fan growing up in Metro Atlanta in the 90s. Watching the braves celebrate gave me chills. " The Team of the 90s" . Good times.
