@@Schule04 this is the answer, usually people with a lot of money will start to put their money into assets, properties don't depreciate that fast, so you can dump your money in there, and if you ever want to sell, you can hire some agency to do a youtube video at the property to create interest in your asset. it's basically an infinite loop of rich people buying expensive property, wanting to get rid of it, and selling it to other rich people no one will ever live in these properties, they're nothing but a price tag.

I don't understand how marble flooring is a rich person indicator... In India every decent house of a upper middle class family has marble flooring and every middle class house has atleast one room with marble flooring... My house has marble flooring and my family is peasant in comparison to these million dollar guys... Maybe marble is expensive in the US... If someone can tell me, let me know... Also, that 1st Bel air mansion was something right up my alley... I would love to own that house and modify the hell out of it and fill it with cool stuff..
I have a friend who lives in Florida whose dad works to install these marble pieces in these very expensive homes down there. She said she used to go with her dad when she was young. She drove me through these neighborhood when I visited her. She told me the reason why it's expensive is that it's not about the marble, it's about the size of the marble that makes it expensve. A large shower stall the size of my entire bathroom for example, would be made of just TWO giant marble slabs. Not tiles, just an entire marble slab that was cut and shipped from overseas. It takes an entire team of worker to move and install it, and people can get crushed to death if it gets dropped. If it gets chipped or damaged during this process the entire set has to be discarded, because it wouldnt be from the same marble piece and would have a different color or pattern on it. So yeah, these rich people likes to demonstrate their wealth via marble.

My 6 1/2 bedroom house has a bigger elevator and more floors and I’m on the beach probably way cheaper house only 1.5 mill yea it’s expensive but compared to west coast houses
