- Take a first look at the site for Sky Striker, the new for 2024 Zamperla Giga Discovery coming to Six Flags Great America! Hangover and Revolution have both been removed, and the Sky Striker plot is getting ready for concrete!
All drone footage was taken from public land and my drone never flew over park property. Don’t be dumb with your drones!

The position of the joker drives me nuts though. You can see in this video all the landscaping and foliage they ripped out to accommodate that ride. Really curious what they do with the revolution plot. A nice fountain and some landscaping would be nice and is needed over there. Looking forward to future updates!
I hope they put the antique carousel there that was there from opening to 2003 when it was replaced with revalution

Hopefully Ameri-Go Round is still in good enough condition to operate again…it was built in the early 1900’s and idk if leaving it in those crates for two decades has caused something to deteriorate

Sky Screamer would be interesting but unless it is relocated I don’t think they will buy a new Funtime ride anytime soon given what happened in Orlando. Also, Sky Trek tower more or less does what a Sky Screamer would anyhow while being more accessable to everyone. And the Revi plot would be a tight squeeze for one of those. A ferris wheel would be really nice, the park has never really had a real one
@@wheelgap yeah you got a point there I guess the next best thing can be a Zamperla flat ride package deal like a nublizer or Air race i'm thinking the ladder and going with an Air race

I wonder if the death of the super loops (hangover being the XL) has to do with the demise of Larson as a company. Seems like most of them disappeared pretty quickly.
As for revolution, yeah it was probably scrapped. SFDK's frisbee was refurbished, ready to reopen, covid hit, they reopened the park and Taz (what we called it) never reopened and they just scrapped it, full stop. Just came in once and it was the whole ride there, but the actual frisbee part had just been chewed off. Quite sad, it was a good ride.
Update: Revolution and Hangover were both bought by Gene Staples and were relocated to Niagara Amusement Park where they for now are sitting in pieces with a bunch of other purchased used rides!

Hopefully Ameri-Go-Round comes out of mothballs to take it's rightful place by the games gallery (which should also be re-done and OPERATED !)

Sky Striker makes Revolution redundant, but man i will miss Revolution
the ride ops always seemed to have a lot of fun with it and i loved going on it in the evening when it was lit up but not completely dark outside yet. fun memories
Good news: Gene Staples bought Revolution + Hangover and they now both arrived at Niagara Amusment Park!

i'm not as devastated over Hangover honestly lol. it was always closed and you can find a similar ride to it at pretty much every street fair....but yeah revolution will definitely be missed
Hopefully, the Mardi Gras area gets themed to DC to tie Superman and Dark Knight to the rest of the DC area
As much as tying Superman and TDK into DCU would be nice, it would be a shame to have DCU take over so much of the park. The retheme was really only just pavement, a few signs and paint. If it was done a bit better I would be more for it. Plus even then JLA is on the wrong side of the park to fully complete the connection
i going to miss revolution i ride it with my bother and sis befor i did feel well to ride it and now i regrate to ride it i ride it one time but good it goen and let let hope they do soething with american egel it not my top wooden but it pack a punch XD. if you go to goole maps you can see revolution still there from 2015

Hangover was just not that popular. The Fireball is in St. Louis and Delirious at Valleyfair is more popular.
So what’s exactly going to happen with the spot that Hangover was located? Just an open spot or a new potential ride in the future? Tbh KingChaos should’ve just stayed.
King Chaos had a similar ending to Hangover, staying closed most days and suffering from some pretty bad mechanical issues. That plot seems to be semi-cursed, so they will probably leave it empty for now and put a Zamperla flat like a Disko there at some point
Anything done with BB?
With how low the clouds were and the legal drone spots I can fly from, there really isn't a great view into that part of the park. I am guessing they will save that plot for 2025 or 2026, and get something like a B&M Dive, think a slightly beefed up Cliffhanger or Iron Menace

@RollerCoasterManiacChannel Family boomerang would be cool, but the park has plenty of family friendly coasters. Not sure what that would add unless they took out Sprockets or something. Honestly something like a true kiddie coaster (think E&F Miler) would be nice
My wife is gonna be upset about Revolution. Hopefully she likes Sky Striker more.
Personally, I think the Zamperla Discoveries are vastly superior! I hope she likes this as well!
yeah, good riddance to hangover. loved the name hated the ride.
