Yep very true Max , it definitely could probably use some more horsepower to process a 108 MP image briskly , but given what it is , what it cost , and what it can do , just having some patience and allowing it the time it needs will get a very nice image eventually . Imagine what apple would charge for an iphone with a 108 mp sensor in it :) .
2025: It only has a deca-camera setup. Even though they use 4-for-one processing, those four fotolenses can't compare to Samsungs's hexa macrocamera setup. However the 9" triple-cascading waterfall screen feels nice when slapping it around your wrist.
I love my Mi A2 and will eventually get a Mi A3. I do not actually have a use for all those wonderful cameras, but this is a damned nice looking and high tech phone!
Besides chip it beats every camera on the market for current cellphones including the Mate 30 Pro! It has great video and 2nd to none photography. It's actually a very good phone and beats most 1000 phones minus the speed. Check out Dxomark.com I would personally wait till next year and get the Xiaomi Mi 10 which will have the 108mp and other camera's but will have all flagship features including a Snapdragon 865 and price will start around $600.00 and as the Mi 9 did the Mi 10 will most likely out perform most flagships next year.

When it comes to photography, in perfect lighting conditions this phone is a beast unlike any other in the market as of now. But once that light absent, it starts to degrade in quality a lot. Shows how much Xiomi needs to upgrade its image processing software. Also, the 730G isn't that capable of processing 108 MP photos, it sometimes lags and delays. Hopefully samsung will do it better next year.

I got my hands on a Xiaomi Redmi a while back and ever since I have been amazed by them, mind you I don't game on them, they are just my daily drivers for e-mail, messaging, Google, backup picture taking and calendar, calculator, all the ordinary stuff. But what amazes me is the quality I get of the feel of the device and I find the simple layout without app drawer easier to navigate and I just cluster my apps if they are of the same general use in separate boxes; all Google apps in one, all photo enhancing/editing in another, travel in another and it's easy and clutter-free. The device just feels more quality and have been after three different devices so much less headache and problems. I maybe take good care of them physically because they last and last, while others just turn up dead one day or reboot over and over. The best Chinese phone brand I have had (don't even get started on the iCrap), I would have to go back to my old HTC HD Mini for the same quality which both I have still work fine, some ten years later or so, as my backup.

I felt like this video was playing at a slower speed compared to a lot of your other videos. Must be that fatherhood taking its toll 😂. I know the feeling. Enjoyed the video. Own the p30 pro which this reminds me a lot of but I still prefer it over the mi note 10. İ actually find the p30 pro quite disappointing coming from the galaxy s8 and was flitting between xiaomi and huawei for my next device before I decided. I think it would be great for tech tubers to do like a 2 year revisit on devices and small suggestions on next devices for people that have to see the 2 years through before upgrading. Might be too much work and cost involved doing such a thing though? Keep up the good work 👍

You are correct, too many models, I’ve been to their shop, see their product and never accept their product and they don’t even have bigger memory storage.... also I was told their batteries used are of lower quality and will be bloated after a year of use or more....
Honestly i like android with no app drawer maybe because i am coming from ios but having a lot of apps and just swiping from left to right is much easier than tapping or pulling up from the bottom to see all of your apps

I like Xiaomi's stuff. I own a Mi Note 3 and it is stable, thin, fast and I still can't find a reason to replace it. Sadly, Xiaomi's sales this year dropped more than 20%, because the state-owned company Huawei is using Patriotism to sell its phones.

Great video and review, but I prefer a dual stereo speaker than a headphone jack. I got a Sony WH1000 headphones which is better than any wired headphone, plus I can use the USB-C adapter if I want to use it the a wired headphone.

There is a niche for everything, e. g. the Mi 9 SE for people with tiny hands, the Mi 9 Lite for people with larger hands who like the idea of expandable storage and are willing to sacrifice a smidgen of performance, the Mi Note 10 for camera freaks who most definitely don't need a flagship and otherwise would look at Oppo's lineup.
