Boss Morris | Filberts

Boss Morris performs ‘Filberts’ an original piece by Rob Harbron in honour of their hazel sticks used in the Morris dance. The piece was choreographed in collaboration of the Boss Morris dancers and Laurel Swift.

Brilliantly inventive dance. Good morris tradition. Brilliantly danced. Skill, timing, charm. Costume a bit iffy (In my view)

We should have known this is what would happen once women got involved in Morris dancing.

50 years ago when our team opened up to women dancers our modest team rapidly expanded from all men …to three sides…a men’s… a mixed … 2:42 and a women’s … it rapidly became obvious that much of the future growth and development of Morris would be from the dedicated women.

They have them. The recording is set up for the musical instruments which has made the bells less distinguishable.
