Lol "put down the anti- depressants". That's why people were so happy in the 80s, cool ATVs, hair bands, and less stressful times. Super job on this Yamaha classic, beautiful machine.
I was born in 86... was it that great in that time ????
All joking aside, they do float perfectly when you get off it and swim beside it!. But dont let go of it cuz they like floating best upside down!
Yes they do lol
What a unique person with so much passion and enthusiasm.
I really enjoy his videos.
Bought one of these exact machines brand new in 1983. I was changing the oil in it today actually.
Don't ever sell it! Unless you sell it to me.
Ken is a damn trip.
The best move all year is the roll up out front! The stronger the rail, the stronger the door!
Ken your intro was awesome. Nice trike. Thanks for the video.
Three wheelers are amazingly fun in the snow! I own three Honda ATC's 350/200X/110 they are bullet proof.
Nothings bullet proof.
We had one of these. Man it looked huge when I was a kid!
Love to see you gentlemen go through a 1992 WR 500. Frame up with the wizards tuning? Forget about it. I’m from Maine we’ll call that a certified “rippa”
The wholly grail of ATC's is the 1987 250R.
Actually it's the tiger rotax 500.
You mean 1986.....
Holy*
OMG I had the 1982 YT175 two smoke, my buddy had a 185 Honda,,,, too many fun memories. And ya they float, upside down... hahaha
Also that is not the reverse model, the 200ern had the little "reverse gearbox" by the engine output with a little shifter handle.
But as always, awesome video! thanks guys
I had the Honda version but I had to bail off as it started to roll off an embankment and I bet it's still several hundred feet down a hill in the Smokey mountains
Robbie's Incoherent thoughts wow go down there get it going again i bet it will go
Takes me back, I had the same bike, 200e shaft electric start, no reverse and mine had a front rack over the headlight.
Cool bike, I loved it even though I destroyed myself on it Lol.
some reason this is the first time i seen this even though i subscribed...maybe i missed that day lol
Best video I’ve seen yet…! ✌🏼
“This thing will rip your house off the foundation…” 😂
That’s not a 200e if it’s got reverse it’s a 200er
My brothers and I had one. It was awesome.
@kaplan cycles I don't know if there is one but look for a lever on the side of the engine for the reverse, if there isn't one then you might just have to shift into reverse using the gear shifter, I'm pretty sure on some of the older ATV's that have reverse you shift into neutral then once more up, I could be wrong though, it's just a hunch
That........pause tho 😂
LMAO..............OF course kens gotta see if it can wheelie and do 75 mph off the rip!!!!!.....nice intro...def made my morning with some much needed laughter!!!!!!!!!!
Had this exact three wheeler, bought it off an older couple for $1000 in 2002 and it was in beautiful condition until I bought it lol
lol maybe in the 80s..... But i got a 87 moto 4 225... childhood machine and now I am doing a complete engine rebuild right now. Have a parts bike so have 2 engines taken apart in my garage on my desk.
Where can I buy that helmet 🔥👍
That’s a 1984. The 83 was chain drive
200K, 200L, and 200N are chain driven. 200E and 200ER are shaft driven.
Haha.. Leaving that intro in was Klassic Kaplan... ✔️
love the vid i have the exact same one!
Takin me back!....I had a blue one.
i raced a 1985 tr z 250 float track when i was young n dumb n im still alive lol
Reverse should be down past neutral on the foot shifter
What did it bring?
What size is the front tire
I still have a 85 ytm200 ER
VERY RELIABLE LITTL MACHINE
That was my first 3 wheeler. Nice but told dad I wanted a 250r to race. How can I race against 250rs with this. Needless to say I went and got one on my own(Honda 250r) then it was on.
I have an 85 200e shaft drive that I have made street legal. They are a fantastic piece
Was it only made in 85?
@@haroldanderson2781 in not sure how long they were made, I just know what mine is
"Get on it and SEND IT!"
i found a junk trimoto 125 2 stroke have it running pretty good but it needs pull starter
Nice little workhorse, too pretty to work though.
All atc love
I have a 1984 Yamaha 200E Shaft here in Kotzebue Alaska. Runs awesome. Many many many miles lol. Bad ass is all i can say. It reminds me of how bad ass it is because the coast guard are bad asses. This how i compare lol. #gallahornfamily #alaskalife
Dare you to find a mint Yamaha 225dx
Three point hitch 😳
I want the helmet!
I almost killed myself on a Dx225 racing a xr500 and a rm250. I hit a washed up root across a downhill trail, just hit 3rd gear bounced up on 2 wheels right into a oak tree, shattered my collarbone. Those things are a blast once you learn how to throw the ass end around they like to plow when you turn them.
It'll pull the Evergreen ship out of its predicament.
My dad nearly killed my sister and I on this exact same trike ! I remember it like if it was yesterday...
The tires are over inflated.
If your going in the water you pump them up for displacement
And on the 9th day, God created Ken, (alias) Kaplan America!.. Sinead O'connor sang it, Nothing Compares to You!
Still has her.factory brake squel lol
folks in central WI call them "turdwheelers" cause you got your 1st, 2nd and turdwheel.
I need a carb kit im from ontario canada. Cant find any. Please help lol 👍🏻ytm 200k 1983
Put it in first gear then shift into reverse
Floating submarine 😆
If there was ever a motorized vehicle that was made to do wheelies this is it..... Even a 1 legged midget can 2 wheel that thing for days on end..... Ask me how I know lol.....
How do u know
Kaplan Cycles New England Motorcycle Museum I’m guessing he’s a one legged midget
@@KaplanCycles hahahaha
@@shredder_mang3211 not quite but the weight balance is perfect for endless wheelies. Not the fastest 3 wheeled machine by a long shot but a blast to ride....
If you over rev it you will fuck the engine, ask me how I know.that bike has barely been used at all.
3 wheeled death machine
no doubt
But you can lean on it. That's where that came from
Man, 3 wheelers are not for the WUS !
