Everyone says Honda is so great but, let me tell you. I'm 39 my dad bought my brothers and I a 1984 YTM225dx we have had it and driven it without any serious issues for 29 years. We still drive it to this day. Now don't get me wrong we had a 85 200x that ran like a beast. But it died back in 2002. Yamaha 3 wheelers are indestructible!!!
I always road Honda , but my neighbor had a Yamaha 225dx shaft drive. Haven't seen him since the 80's but I bet it still runs. The Honda 185s in my back yard still does. Everybody had one back then. No fucking helmets either and we all lived. No 4 Wheeler could've kept up with us. No matter what anyone says, 3 wheelers handled better in the woods. The only place the 4 Wheeler could win was pavement.
We also had a 1985 YT125 3 wheeler. It was as fast as the 200x but handled like shut cause of no suspension. We traded that baby in on a 1992 Yamaha Blaster. They gave us $300. I'd kill for that old 3 wheeler... Love those old 2 strokes
I used to have a 225DX and it was Black and Gold the thing was sweet! And I still have my 200E today. Still is a work horse. You guys can see it on my RUclips Channel Called BOTAJELL. The Tri Z was the most Bad Ass 3 Wheeler!
I've got a 1980 YT125 and I just got it to start with some work after it had been outside for 20+ years.

then the 225 shaft drive goes out (chain drive for the win) im not impressed with the 225dx the 125 and 175 are better

@TrikerBuddy I have a 83 225dx cobra exhaust a 84 125 yamaha and a 85 175 yamaha. i also have a 85 honda 200x
Yamaha is the best but the Kawasaki tecate is the best and fastest trike!
