  • Trail & error with this stop usually doesn't work. The Skatefresh method takes you through a series of prerequisite turns and turn stops that lead you to later being able to PowerStop to a stop. skatefresh.com...
    The course contains weeks to months of material depending on your current level and amount of time you have to dedicate to Powerstopping. Each skill comes with a Common Problems chapter where your mistakes will be identified and fixed!
    Use the Downloadable Practice Exercise Summaries of all the exercises you’ve seen, so your practice time is structured, easy to follow and productive!
    It's the next best thing to travelling to a workshop with me.....but let me tell you, in a 2 hour class we can't cover this amount of content, no where near. So this course contains all the progressions you'll need at every stage of the PowerStop journey.

    Great, What is the difference between Power Stop and Pararell Stop?

      Good question. I see the PowerStop as a stop that has very little slide and the intention to stop as soon as possible. The parallel slide begins in the same way but then the slide is wanted and created on purpose. But that makes parallel slide MUCH harder than PowerStop which is an ideal prerequisite for the parallel slide (also called hockey stop previously). Hope that makes sense.

    is it possible to do the powerstop on speedskates?

      @SkatefreshVideos  10 месяцев назад +1

      That is a very good question. I've never seen a speed skater powerstop but then I don't spend a huge amount of time watching speed skating (and rarely do they ever stop on camera it seems). I'm going to ask around as I'm now curious. Does anyone know of a powerstoppping speed skater? If so I wanna see it on video!
      It is most definitely harder to do on speed skates. The longer frames make the tighter turn more difficult to achieve.
      I'll try and come back to you after asking on instagram....

    What I cannot power skate with aggressive skate? I am consuming the frame but I don’t slide… 😢

      In an aggressive skate the boot is so large at the side it wont allow the wheels to slide. Powerslide is a better option maybe?

      @@SkatefreshVideos HI!! thank you very much for your answer!! so you don't think that the problem is also the size of the wheel? 58mm 90A... i guess i need new roller skate also..
