Ya'll wanted me to re-do my Japchae recipe video, so here it is!! Had so much fun (Japchae) while filming, after filming, the next day... lol But I'm craving japchae all over AGAIN!! Thumbs up if you got hungry and comment below how hungry you are!!! Love you all!!
@Jack Hudler: It‘s this brand here: www.amazon.com/Kadoya-Pure-Sesame-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B002HMN6SC?language=en_US
I can’t wait for the “Life in” series. Oh how I miss the old 30min chopchop series too.
I love how you skipped the chopsticks and just dug in!!!! Awesome!!!
Does the japchae taste good reheated next day?
Mmmmmmmmm! I really enjoy the chewiness of japchae. Now I know not to do the final step of stir frying. That’s a great time saver and I like the idea that the veg will stay crisper too. Oh I can’t wait to make japchae again!!!
Made an amount slightly bigger than what you make here for my roommate and I. Was supposed to last 3 days.
We ate half, put in the fridge, then opened the fridge 3 times during that day and finished all of it.
It's too good 🙏🏻
Always make more than enough. And it's always never enough.
"Why do I need to call it English name when we actually have a Korean name already?" I hit the like button right then & there
Same I watch her video everyone I make Japchae just for the comedy in the back. I laugh with her I’m in my own happy little world. Happiness + Laughter= Great Food
I knew there would be one annoying chick who'd say something
Why call it a Korean name when creating an English dish in korea - just alienate the locals 👍👍👍
Seonkyoung: “I wanna marry this japchae so much!”
*Jacob has left the chat*
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha ha . Is Jacob in her tummy ? 😁
🤣🤣🤣

You should talked less cooked more.So you beautiful, talking too too much you look like fool of yourself.
I love how the last five minutes of this video turns into a mukbang lol.
Ikr!!!!! She can do mukbang too.
Lol...to see this video for the last minutes, make my mouth waterly..thx Saenkyeong,😋👍
OMG many taste taste..
I made this! I was worried when I boiled 16oz of sweet potato noodles because my eyes told me it wouldn’t be enough noodles, but when you mix everything together, it’s perfect!! Next time, I might not put so much sesame oil because it was too strong for my families taste, but other than that i LOVE how this came out! I used beef chuck slices and I pounded them before slicing them into strips. I will absolutely make this again. Thank you so much, Seonkyoung!!
My grandma is usually afraid to try new things, but I made this Japchae for her and she finished her whole plate then asked for more. It was so good!! Thank you so much!
So.....when will you be coming out with a cookbook? I need your book in my kitchen!! 😁😁
Yes!!!! Please!
Yes please!!!
Same! Her dishes look so good! 🤗
YESSSSS PLEAASSSEEEE
I love the idea of you saying the correct name for your noodles as it helps us non-Koreans to learn pronunciation and context. I especially like that you show us the Korean dangmyun name and the corresponding Korean glass noodle name in your written instructions. That's what makes it the perfect cooking lesson. Thank you so much.
OMG, I love Japchae!!! I first learned how to make it from Maanchi, here on RUclips. Your technique and style is very similar to hers but yours has less steps and I bet it tastes just as good...gonna give your way a try!
Are we just going to ignore how perfect that egg is!!
You may or may not ever see my comment but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate watching your videos. I love how you are always so energetic and excited! I had cancer 5 years ago, I would watch your videos on Facebook in hopes that it would help stimulate my appetite after chemo because you’re food always looked delicious, especially when you would eat afterwards. Keep doing what you’re doing, you made an impact on my life and I’m sure you’re doing it with others as well❤️❤️❤️
I hope you’re doing well ❤
I followed your recipe. I did not fail!! My husband said it was really delicious and had two helpings. I also think that it was super. I’m going to bring this to pot lucks, BBQs and baby showers. Great recipe!!
Thanks very much from Canada✌️.
We LOVE this Japchae so much and make it often when we grill Korean meat. It’s always popular among the guests too! Must make it soon! Thanks for the kind shoutout! 🥰😘
Just One Cookbook ......🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️ Nami chan! I love Japchae so much too! I can’t wait to go and watch the collab video, between you and Seonkyoung! There’s no doubt that it’ll be amazing! ❤️
😘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤗❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Nami!!!
Namiko-san! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
what is korean meat?
@@yasminsparrow695 Korean meat you cretin.
❤❤❤This is literally life changing for me. My whole life I thought I didn’t like vegetables and that I’d have to keep forcing myself to eat them. No, no, no, nope - the more Korean recipes I make the more I realise that I LOVE Korean style vegetables. I hardly ever finish an entire meal, I made your japchae and cleared my entire bowl and stole a bite from my husband. ❤❤❤
The first time I tried japchae I almost cried. It's soooooo good.
I FINALLY got to try the recipe. I had watched this video about 10 times before I actually tried it and I am NOT disappointed. It was soooooooo good. I'm so happy that I made it. I just wish that I made more.
I love how she eats, with passion! And she makes you hungry all the time! Love all her recipes, especially the korean ones!
Girrrl. You were literally speaking to my soul when you kept taking those bites of japchae with your hands lol! Best part of the video
I love that you complimented your mom in your video. I am sure that made her day. The food looks delicious, Seon-kyoung!
I wanna have the confidence to cook in white some day too.
Made this dish for dinner and let me tell you hands down the greatest dish I have ever made. It tested way better then the Korean restaurant that's in town
My favorite Korean cuisine:
1. Gejang
2. Japchae
3. Bulgogi
This Japchae looks so tasty! I can't wait to try this recipe!!!!
I found this recipe 2 weeks ago and since, have made it 4 times!! I’ve made for diff people and got nothing but compliments after compliments! This recipe is the best! Love your videos and recipes so so SOOO much Seonkyoung Longest!
My wife used to make Japchae to die for! Heck, everything she cooked was great. I miss her.
I could never have a bad day after watching your videos! Thank you for being you ❤💜
🥰😘❤❤❤
One of my favorite dishes. I use button, crimini and woodear mushroom strips instead of shiitake. And I use more garlic. For the beef I use chuck cut carefully across the grain so it’s super tender with great flavor. I usually leave out the egg as my daughter hates. Eggs. I used malt syrup and it was amazing. I use the same water to cook first the chard, then I take chard out and add noodles, let cook 5 minutes, then I put in 1/4 lbs bean sprouts. Then 3 minutes(8 minutes total for noodles) later I drain them. Then I start to assemble it in a bowl with the seasoning toss it, then add in the veg and meat. So yummy😋
I used your recipe for a party and it turned out great! I used to always stir fry the noodles with the sauce but your way is so much easier and tastes much better. Thanks for the recipe!
I tried this! It’s so good 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I thought that the sauce for the last part was too much so I ended up stir frying which made it less soaked and more flavorful. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I dance when eating something good, my boyfriend always says it’s my attitude leaving the body. 😂
Lmao! I like that!!!
Love it 🥰, do that DANCE ladies 🤭. 🙏💞💞💞💞
Spinach has grit 😂😂
I am so making this soon. Looks amazing!!! I have been shopping more at HMart recently, so I’m finally learning how to find what I need there. Plus a lot of Korean people who shop there are always willing to help 😊
I just finished watching and I have to comment again. My gosh it looks so goooood. I already know how delicious it is. It’s extra painful watching you eat. 😂 So hungry now at 12:30 am!
Hahahah! Me too! I’m going to the store tomorrow and will make this recipe! 😋
Week 4.5 of social distancing here in Calgary. Have been binge-watching and building my “must have” grocery list for when I can go to the closest Asian Market for all of the specialty items I can’t get at the local grocery store. Gotta say... you are a TOTAL corn ball. So refreshing to see you do your Japchae Jive while you unappologetically eat with your fingers. At a time when there is so much darkness and negativity, your goofiness has been sooo refreshing. Lots of respect, appreciation and love from Calgary. Be well and safe to you and all out there.
you explaining it just make my mouth-watering and you make me hungry all the time you come on. love Korean food, movie, and everything about Korea.
That looks delicious!! You are one of my favourite youtubers to watch. The best part of your videos are when you’re being “extra”, lol. 😊
I'll probably use this recipe, but honestly her using her hands to mix everything really a turn off, and then she keeps eating off the dish...major blunder. Dont do that.
you made my year I spent 2 years in korea and this was my favorite dish I will be making this immediately.
You are so adorbs!! I would be so annoyed of my mom being so EXTRA but now I appreciate her more now that I'm a mother of a new born. You sound just like her, and I swear you are her doppelganger from the accent to attitude and style! I can't wait to show my mom this!!
I make it for my family many times fallowing your recipe. And they love it. Making japchae can put as many types of veggies as Long as you can maintain the taste. I love you yah
I’ve tried japchae before at a Korean restaurant. The only problem was that I loved it so much I wanted to find a good recipe to make it for lunch.
Thank you for making my mouth water!
We had the best japchae yesterday during our Christmas party and everbody just loved it! The friend who brought it shared this post to us as she said this was where she got it! Will definitely make this during our noche buena!
Seonkyoung is forever now my spirit animal! Love the sassiness, the attitude, the real eating (with the dance lol), the food!!! Your the best! 🥰🥰🥰
I literally scrolled through your videos specifically to find a Japchae recipe. I could feel it in my spirit that it was there and girl, you didn't disappoint! I can't wait to make it! I miss Korea!
"I DONT EVEN KNOW MY NAME ANYMORE" hahaha so good loved this video so much!
Made this recipe today and used honey in the sauce and omitted the egg. Sooooo good!
So glad the stir-frying everything at the end can be omitted cuz my pan will thank me lol 😆 Can’t wait to try this recipe😊
I just made this today...part of my quarantine cooking where I’m trying all new recipes and it was delicious. As good as any Korean restaurant in Hawaii (even better than some, lol). Also, made your butter garlic beef with coconut aminos and your pork belly... loved them all. Thanks for helping this frustrated mom through this quarantine and 3 hungry kids!
Seonkyoung: I don't even know my name anymore
Takes another bite lol
Mailee Cha 😂
My mom, who is opposed to any food that isn't "murican," walked past my plate and said, "oh, spinach. Can I have a bite?" She ate almost the entire plate. You should have seen her face when I told her it was a Korean dish. Honestly, I think Japchae changed her view on Asian food, she now tastes everything I make and sometimes will have an actual serving. So far, her favorite is Bun Cha (Vietnamese meatballs). She has me make it into a burger and I have to admit that I love it too.
Your knife skills have improved so much! Thank you for all your recipes!
Wowwww really perfect recipe..u give very details how to make a perfect japchae
T think the word you are looking for is gritty I too hate that in any of my greens
So I wash them at least 3 times, and your recipe looks so delicious can’t wait to
make it for husband. I appreciated how thorough you are with information and directions
I also love your enthusiasm.
Thank you!
Thank youuuuuuuu!
This was delicious! I didn’t have any sesame oil. I was scared it wasn’t gonna taste good but it did! Going to make more for gatherings! Thanks!
smaileerocks definitely need sesame oil! You’re missing out. Get some when you can.
I just made this and it’s amazing. I’m always cooking Thai because that’s my roots but wanted to try something different. I love this recipe ❤️
So for the noodles. You can use any kind of sweetness? I've seen others use sugar. But you use honey or agave. Which is pretty interesting 😉😏☺️
Simply beautiful, Seonkyoung. I love your Asian at Home concept, it's really creative and fun.
It's called cha ma sur in Khmer one of my mother's fav. dish. Thank you for sharing your recipes!
Now i wish there is a smell function on RUclips. It looks so delicious 🥰🥰🥰
That looks real simple. I will be making this real soon. I will probably use chicken. I don't eat red meat very much. Thanks for sharing.
I’m an adult, I can eat Japchae whenever I want!

Loved watching you make the food you love so much. You didn’t mention how your singing & joyfullness is the secret seasoning. I will comment back when I have a chance to make this. Can not wait. Thanks for sharing your happiness. 💐
When she started cutting the carrots I thought “damn, she’s got some knife skills” AND THEN SHE READ MY MIND! 🔮🧿🧙♀️
You dance while you eat and you can't stop eating. It must be good food. Thanks for sharing the joy.
It's Ramadan. I'm fasting. Why am I here? 😭💜
🤣🤣
I’m craving for japchae today and I always come here for help. ( thank you always😉) . I appreciate and have respect for your mother as well . Just so happen that today is a special day so, “Happy Mothers Day” to her and to you too!!! 🎉. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers!!!!
I just made my first Japchae and it was a huge hit. Thank you for teaching me ♥️
That's very healthy too!! I have a lot of Swiss Chard growing in my garden so I'll use it instead of spinach.
That one looks easy. I love stir fried noodles like chapchae. It's also one of the best party foods. Oh by the way I am watchin from the Philippines. ❤😊🇵🇭
I love that I can still have this dispite having to go on an anti inflammatory diet
I do have to adjust something's, but most of them are one's that alternatives are given in the video
Your face when trying figure out what to say about spinach made me LOL so hard 😂 ❤️

Thank you Seonkyoung! I have made this 3x and everyone loved it. Your video and instructions are so easy to follow.
Oh my goodness!!!! I just made this and it's honestly the best japchae I've ever tasted!!!!
This is my second time making this. Your sauce measurement n portions are perfect. I didn’t add or minus any ingredient. A great hit with my family.
Congratulations on 1M subscribers, Seonkyoung! Well deserved, I must say. You have re-awakened my interest in cooking Asian cuisine and I enjoy the fact you do not take yourself too seriously.
Been making this recipe since I discovered it almost 2 years ago. A winner! Kamsahamnida! We can't get enough of it... really really delicious!😋😋😋
Omg I laughed and smiled so much at the part where you tasted the sauce😂💖💖
Looks very good and the way you calculate the amount of liquid spices is amazingly precise and just... mmmmm wonderful 👍😋🤗
My fave part about your videos are watching you eat! ❤
I'm going to try this recipe. Seems simple enough and easy to get the ingredients here in Hawaii
It’s 2am and I’m going to fall asleep dreaming about this!
