- Dr. Johnna Infanti from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center joins FOX Weather to discuss the potential impacts of a La Niña in the U.S.
There’s still a fighting chance that La Niña could end earlier than anticipated around the last week of February through the first week of March possibly peaking between Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day and slowly declining towards the end of the third week. I still expect more warmups than cooldowns if this happens but there won’t be as many warmups in this scenario for the Eastern States since there won’t be as much of a cold air mass centered in the Pacific Northwest leading to them if this happens.

If La Nina leads to wetter weather in PA, that might be helpful. We've been in a drought situation since the fall.
