The magic would have beaten the Cavs had they played Black, to slow down Garland and Mitchell. Not to mention his stellar spot up shooting, off ball screening, and cutting you mentioned. Still a decision im questioning from Mosley. With these numbers you provided, it makes me confident in my eye test. AB is the 4th man in the rotation next to Suggs in backcourt and Franz and Paolo on the wings. The future PG for the Magic. He is selfless and makes all the right plays, he's a winner. Go Magic

Exactly 💯! Coach Mosley dropped a ball this post season by playing low energy Fultz and over the hill Joe Ingles lol! Anthony Black could have taken those two rotation minutes and helped neutralize Mitchell from dropping 40 plus on us!

I’m high on AB too but you’re wrong on this one. If Franz and Suggs had a tough time scoring @ Cle, AB would’ve been non existant too. He’s still young and wasn’t ready for playoff bball. Hopefully next season he’s ready

That’s a whole lot of responsibility for a rookie. You don’t undermine vets in the playoffs. You can’t project like this without a good enough sample size. Sorry but not a good take.

@@shahin-177I'm sorry but what upside value did Harris bring in the second half of the season along with Fultz and Ingles? AB main job would be to guard opponents and whatever he did on offense is icing on the cake! He could have been a Jonathan Isaac for us.

      @@philstewart345 He’s not
near this level of defense. JI was elite coming out of college on defense. Harris’ career work was enough to justify his minutes and he’s a better defender than AB. You don’t just thrust rookies in roles that aren’t able to fill. Harris’ shot just wasn’t falling but he shot above league average for the season for us at a better volume than AB. Volume matters.

AB was really impressive, especially being thrown into the starting lineup so early. He exceeded my expectations, especially with his 3 point shooting. Most people said his shot was pretty rough and would be around 30% but for him to be close to 40% his rookie year is such a good sign.

Same, this gives me confidence he can grow into an all around offensive weapon, his elite defense was never a question to me and he has great physical tools and shiftiness he just needs to keep putting it all together with a pull up game and some floaters and more polished handle etc

people talk a lot about glue guys to play next to stars, and ab is like one of those glue guys if they were made in a lab. he has so much potential with and without the ball in his hands and should be considered untouchable by the magic

I think AB being held out of the playoff rotation will make him even hungrier this off-season to prove he should always receive playing time going forward. The best thing about what the front office did was not force him into learning bad habits. He got a taste of success early on and this summer will only add to his game. Will be great to see him develop.

If I could get in a room with Mosley, I would just show him this video and ask why AB wasn’t getting minutes vs the Cavs

Totally get his shot wasn’t consistent enough, but we needed the defense over Joe Ingles

Great video! Do you think he’s the magic PG or the future or will he be more of a connective wing (batum, ingles) long term?

Tough to say right now, but it is a good question. Hopefully we will get to see him play a bit at summer league.

He gets zero oppurtuny to handle with Paolo, Franz dominating the ball, so i can't really see how he'll develop into a ball handler or pnr player when he has no chances.

Sounds weird, but I think his hair gets in the way of his shot. Like he has to shoot around it

Kid lost confidence. I really question Mosley’s personnel choices from a certain point in the season, where he ran our starters ragged while many productive players from early in the season couldn’t get a look and he only rotated a couple guys in from the bench. I’m specifically talking about AB and Bitadze. But also Jet Howard couldn’t get ANY quality minutes all season long? Our guys were dog tired by the time the Cavs rolled into town
