I really enjoy watching you guys! Not cool getting so close to the whales, especially with their babies... in Canada (& USA), we have to stay 328 feet away or big problems with the law. Causes lots of stress on the whales. Safe travels in Mexico and enjoy the sunshine 😎
But in these "nursery" lagoons, the mamas actually bring their babies up to the little boats to meet the people, and be petted by them! That's what makes it such a special experience. If the whales begin to experience it as pressure, maybe too many boats, or the people do jerky things, the first change will probably be that the mamas just won't bring the babies to meet us, anymore. And sadly, some people probably do seek it out as something to ruin. But while there's a delicate balance, that allows the moms to think we're a good experience for their babies, I would sure take mine to see them.

So many beautiful parts of Mexico ! It's so sad they have the mutant Cartel that destroys the joy of traveling there 😢 Safe Travels and you did it right going in a group no worries 👍🏻 ❤️
Geeze, people, they knew the risk before they went into Mexico and they still chose to go so I doubt if they need everyone reminding them the danger of traveling in Mexico. This danger didn't just start up, it's been going on for a long time and I'm sure at the end of this series, they will be telling you how it's not as bad as your being told because they happened to make it back safely, so the danger doesn't exist. If you're so concerned, you may want to look closer to your own communities because that's what our current corrupt government is allowing the U.S. to become.
The cartels' only business is to meet the demand for drugs in the United States. I know our government is corrupt, but our people are corrupt, too. I just don't think those comedians who laugh about drug use are all that funny. Children get FORCED into these cartels as lookouts, and a few years later, they are hardened killers, who believe they are beyond hope. It is too sad to laugh about, and we're too guilty, with too-dirty hands, to look down on the poor Mexicans, who are the ones stuck in the middle of it, who bear the brunt of the violence and kidnappings, losing sons, dads, daughters (most of the kidnapping), mom's, grandparents, many of them just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or someone who WOULDN'T do the will of the cartel gets punished. A good video, which was made while Ciudad Juarez was still the murder capital of the world (it is Tijuana, today) is this one about a group of Christians repairing a message painted on the mountainside in Juarez. Look at the eyes of the people working on this project. They know it is more than just a decorative mural. If you recognize a little Spanish, listen to what the pastor says near the end of the video. Let me look up the name (I wish we could share urls!) I keep copying the URL and forgetting the exact name of the video. But it is basically "cd. Juarez la biblia es la verdad". Yu can find it with that much. It is a very beautiful picture of people who are not just taking the complete devastation of their community lying down, but are trying to get them to see wisdom that could stop it, if taken to heart. Look at the eyes of the people. This is not just a selfish propaganda grab, which is what I expect to hear back in the "liberated" USA.
As a Mexican, it is very refreshing to see wholesome folks come to visit and give a positive review of things. Welcome!
