Any major changes to Media in the last couple of years? We’re looking to rent for about 2-4 years in PA and there are a few towns we’re looking at based on your videos.

Ridley creek state park is very close which offers fishing or if you mean water activities such as boating, swimming, tubing, etc the Delaware river isn’t far either.

Moved from CA to Media, PA ( Upper Providence) 2.5 yrs ago. I love the little town of Media. So quaint. I have never been to Dining Under The Stars yet but plan on going this summer. Media has a good variety of restaurants. Still finding my favorites. They could use another Indian restaurant as Shere-e-punjab is a major disappointment. Overpriced based on quality and portions. Staff there is not friendly either. Also, if you are a Vegan like me they do not have Vegan rice? WTH. We also need a better Thai restaurant than Nooddi. The other thing we dont have here is a good Pizza option with gluten free Vegan options. If anyone moving to the area wants a relative newbie's perspective, let me know. I dont live in the boro but I live in a surrounding township ( Upper Providence) which shares Media's zipcode. I am about 3 miles from downtown and live next to Ridley Creedk State Park which is an actually an amazing gem for the area. I love the proximity to the airport and to Philadelphia. I have family that live on the Jersey Shore which is about 1.5 hours away. I think you can get to some parts of the Jersey shore in an hour and a half. I have no idea what part of the shore you can get to in a hour. Not happening with the outdated highways in south jersey. Plan on 2 hours during the busy season.
I am a professor in Morocco and will be hired in Lincoln university as an assistant professor. My two eldest kids go to Haverford College and live on campus. I still have only one kid who is in high school. Is it affordable for me to live in Media? My wife has a foreign nursing certificate. She has 17 years of experience in nursing. Is it easy for her to find a job at a nursing care while she may take English classes and evaluate her diploma? Thank you
No yet! Considering moving in ! I visited borough once , very cozy and classic town! Super nice ! If I understand this correctly, Media contains several townships which include borough , Middletown township and upper providence. Are they all safe ? Thanks in advance!

Hi thanks for watching! The overall property tax rate for Delaware county is 2.12% and Media is a little above that. The local income tax is 1%. When do you plan on moving to Media?

The “better” town would come down your preference.
