Since you have that one mod of custom decks, I have a Deck Idea: “WHOOPS! ALL 2s!” Standard 52 card deck but you start out with a Eternal Wee Joker. Have fun!

i think one of the problems was that hiker doesn't work well with adding new cards, because the value is added to the cards already played. you want more hanging and less boosters
Endless mode, you might want to focus on finding the most hiked cards, deathing it and hangmanning others. Use up all dscards to find the most buffed and let it contaminate the deck.
It's bad for the deck he's using (Plasma). Because Plasma's Drawback is ante scaling is greatly increased because the deck's ability of balancing chips and mult makes it score higher, so Plasma has a really easy early ante.
If you have jokers that scale off of cards played then you want to trigger that scaling as many times as possible rather than clearing the blind as early as possible. If you don't scale as hard as you possibly can you're more likely to lose.
The way hiker works is that it permanently modifies each card that is scored to score for +4 chips. This buff can stack. High scores early means that he can only play one hand per blind, so he can only buff 5 cards each blind. If he could actually play out all of his hands, he could buff 20 cards instead. Generally high point values early on are good because they let you win in less hands and earn extra money from your unused hands. It’s in the specific situation of having a card like hiker that makes it a bad thing.
