Hey guys, this was too much fun to watch!!! Now, I have used the ring test with more mammas than I remember and it has always worked. Here is the way I do the ring test. You first move it up and down (like dipping a bag of tea in a cup) with nothing but the floor under it. Then you put it over mom’s belly. If it goes round and round, it’s a girl (curves) if it goes back and forth (well, you get the idea 🤣) If you want to try again, start by dipping the ring and then repeat. Another wife’s tale you didn’t mentioned but you have to wait a bit to test it is observing mamma’s shape from behind. When she is 6-8 months pregnant and you see her from behind when she walks, if you can’t tell she is pregnant because her shape is pretty much as it has always been, then it’s a boy. If you notice that her hips are more rounded, then it’s a girl. Have fun, enjoy the journey and even though every one is going to give you some advise, you both are the ones that know what is best for you. Ask questions, do some research, but above all use common sense. Babies don’t come with their instructions on how to handle under the arm, so the key is to be ok with improvising and knowing what is your end goal. Don’t sweat the details. Much love and care 💖

Awe, well you got me with the Girl-Dad thing... so I'd be team girl, but it doesn't matter of course. In my day, we didn't know. I will say though, that everyone thought my baby was going to be a boy. They had us convinced... and SHE is most definitely not a boy. Same happened to my sister-in-law. In fact, because her Dad was dying, they actually did ask to find out for his sake, and they were told they were having a girl. Her Dad suddenly decided to do some shopping and bought all boy things, even though they were told the baby is a girl. Sure enough, her father was right and that was the only boy stuff they had for the baby. All this to say... even those medical tests are not always 100% accurate. If she feels like a girl, she might well be :) What you truly want is a healthy baby anyway. Gender will eventually be revealed :)

When I was pregnant with my son, it was a while before I could tell, he wound up being VERY HIGH. But, with all 3 of my daughters they were so low from minute one. And I mean where they were so close to my ‘public’ (specifically spelled that way) bone, WOW!! Odd # is a boy, my son. Worked out with all 4. Even # we’re all of my daughters. Healthy 100%.

Bc i was so nauseated around the clock. Not just in the morning. The entire first trimester and i actually lost weight. The doctor told us we're probably having a girl bc of that and not to worry ..that the babies getting all she needs, even tho i felt so nauseous. Even smells did me in. Off like a light switch at beginning of 2nd trimester. Then smooth sailing upto and including having HER. Doc was right. And 23 yrs later she's now engaged and is thriving. I wish for you a healthy happy baby. But yep ..i think it'll be a girl. That said... for us ... We got exactly what we wanted first time having a baby. We both wanted a girl. She' has no siblings. And no regrets.

Cold temperature and boy!!! No Way!!!! I had a boy and in my first trimester I was literally boiling! Literally people would feel I have fever or something 😂 This is fun to do though❤
Next appt with the doctor, ask how many beats per minute (heartrate). Girls' heartrates are generally faster (about 140 bpm) even early pregnancy. Ana is right, too early to determine gender by how she is carrying. Toward the end is a better way to judge. You can now do a DNA test and they can tell you the gender very early.

Next appt with the doctor, ask how many beats per minute (heartrate). Girls' heartrates are generally faster (about 140 bpm) even early pregnancy. Ana is right, too early to determine gender by how she is carrying. Toward the end is a better way to judge. You can now do a DNA test and they can tell you the gender very early.
