So tegiwa, be lying when they say HONDA RBC Intake Manifold. However straight out of the box it needs modifying and will not fit the K20. Ours are modified here in the UK on our CNC vertical machining centre, and are therefore ready to fit straight onto a Civic Type R EP3. But you needed to cut yours to make it fit
Thanks for the video. I am considering this upgrade and I didn't know about the MAP plug. I also have the same AEM V2 Intake you did and I now know that it will not fit with the intake (At least without modification)
Same I was really confused when installing it and seeing an unplugged hole in the intake. Couldnt find any information about it. Exactly even if you did get the AEM V2 to fit there would be so much heatsoak killing horsepower. Glad the video could help!

Hiya mate - decent video, enjoyed it! thinking about doing the same mod on mine. Question for you - did the car run okay after install or did you have to get a kpro to map it etc? or do you already have a kpro/k100?
Hi, thanks for watching! Yea the car runs perfectly fine without any ECU changes as its still letting the the same amount of air in the engine, but in order to get the best gains from it you would need to remap it. So yea I installed it and drove it for about 2 weeks no problems and even drove it 60+ miles to get it remapped on a stock ECU
@@UnluckySully nice one cheers for that! I was worrying as im planning on getting rbc and maybe bigger tb - then save for the kpro, and was assuming the Air fuel ratio might be impacted but sounds decent cheers fella!
@@DJ-J3 No problem man, I mean with a bigger throttle body it might run a little bit leaner but that wont cause any issue to the engine or reduce power, do youre all good. Hope it all goes well for you :)
Nope I used all the original ones, you could change out one of them as it does come up a little short but mine fit and haven't changed any of them since
@@UnluckySully for the big upgrade only did 2,5inch cat back and cold air. 211hp and 204Nm. When the rbc and skunk2 body and ecu go for a tune. See my page on insta @asajapcar
Yea it's 70m but you can buy a bracket that can fit the standard throttle body as well so you don't have to install the rbc and 70mm throttle body at the same time 👍👍
@@teridunford7299 I wondered about this as well, so when I asked the guy who remapped my car he said he makes very little different between stock and 70mm especially when 70mm is like £250
@@teridunford7299 from what I remember you need a ported rbc manifold to put on the ep3 you can't just take an rbc from an dc5 and put it in, but I could be wrong
This is what happens when bolts don't come off and there is very little information on how to do a mod XD. I can't lie I got the wrong throttle body gasket which slowed it down a lot as well :')
Too much of a faf plus you have to knotch out slam panel that's why I went skunk no notching out no pipes no faf just bolts on....... Your intake will be heat soaking like mad you need an enclosed system
Yea it's a lot of messing around but it's really worth the gains that it gives, and I'm changing my intake anyway so I won't be suffering from heat sake anymore 😁😁
Great video and 10/10 for persistence and patience lol
Thanks and trust me my patience was wearing really thin XD
Thanks I got the same RBC n finally I got all the bolts 👌 the only video that show the real sht

Every year of the 8th gen Civic Si is also equipped with the RBC manifold with its k20z3 engine

RBC manifold does not come from RSX. It comes from Accord CL7 Euro R JDM or the Civic SI 8th Gen USA.
That hole on the intake is for the MAP sensor.

Thx for info. I'm ordering the karcepts adapter soon. I also own a black ep3. Toronto Canada. Thx bro.

Why didn't you just get a skunk 2 or M2 sport replacement intake manifold? No cutting panels, no adapters, no bullshit 😉
