I honestly think it's kind of sad that we're at a point where we all are pretty replaceable, our jobs are meaningless and that the 9 to 5 life becomes a "privilege". I think that that's going backward not forward. There's more to a human life than that. It's almost like we're "forced" into this lifestyle because otherwise we'd lose our "privilege". And I feel like it's precisely why you changed your mind, because you did lose your privilege before and so when you're presented with it again now it feels more like a "privilege" because it's still better than the alternative, it's a coping mechanism. But is it really a privilege? or are we simply forced into it? it almost sounds like a word that starts with an s. I'm sorry if I'm being negative but I don't think we should glorify a 9 to 5 because we certainly do deserve better. Even generations before us got it much better. So no we shouldn't just be ok with a 9 to 5 because we get paid a livable income for a replaceable meaningless job. That's my opinion.

@@human_no847 Wages used to be enough to raise a whole family with a single working parent + affording a permanent accommodation. Now it's barely enough for a single person to survive in a rented apartment. You end up in a constant "either I work, or lose my accommodation" state. Which is not how a human should live nor was it how humans used to live. Accommodation is one of the most basic human rights, so the fact that you need to slave away in a 9-5 job just to "survive for now", is f*ed up.

    • @yuzan3607

@@human_no847 there's a reason gen z are against 9 to 5, because they see that something went wrong. What used to be minimum wage workers experience is now the normal 9 to 5 workers experience. The narrative became: you're dispensable, we can fire you in a heart beat, but you should still be grateful that we pay you to afford to live somewhere (for now). Just to remind you, even a slave didn't have to worry about their accommodation, it was provided by their bosses.

@@yuzan3607You’re right and it’s crazy. Real wages for college graduates have barely gone up since the 80s, so why are people still defending the 9-5? I guess the only upside is slightly more job stability during a recession…

Yessss finallyy yesss, someone has to say it😂😂 I feel like I can do something meaningful in the future maybe...
I feel like, the world should train engineers and fund them. As an engineering student, I look ahead and I can only see a blurry future, where I don't get paid enough or not even find a job (especially in Lebanon).
I feel like the world should encourage this kind of careers and fund them and peovide them with trainings and research institutes that pays for them to sit and just think of innovative solutions. The world needs that, and it's sad that tiktokers get paid too much for just dancing, while an engineer is not able to continue his research because of a lack of funding.

@@thelydshowI once dreamt of becoming a content creator, and when that dream became a reality, I found myself spiraling into the abyss of addiction. The constant need to check comments and likes led me into a downward spiral, exacerbating my struggles with OCD. Realizing this wasn't the path for me, I made a decision to prioritize my amazing job with its stable income. Now, I engage in content creation purely for enjoyment, on my own terms, and when inspiration strikes, rather than being dictated by algorithms. :)

Life was never supposed to be spent on "working for the man" I hope ppl know this saying because it's an old one...I'm a bit older but I love the saying none the less, I say this my mostly when I lost my pets or loved ones I was expected to just bounce back into work, while I never really healed from the pain😕

Okkk soo I am an INTJ -A female
And I just subscribed you because you are the first ever person who I can relate to 80%.
Just watched your INTJ video and fucking hell it was like I found myself.
Because there are irritating people who are not even INTJ and spreading false information about this personality on their own perspective.
You know I am relieved that neither I was wrong about me being an INTJ nor the 7 freaking tests I have given .😏✊

Only INTJ can know how it's really like to be one 😢
We are lucky, we have many INTJ (MBTI) content creators, comparing to others personalities.
Also better to watch the authentic creators/persons, and not the copied text pasted into an automatically created video, there is no depth, no real explanations in these surface videos, which don't explain why & don't help.

Very refreshing Lydia! I am curious, do you work from home or do you go to the office? Also curious on what your husband is doing? Did he also find a job in London? Glad to hear you are happy with your new job and new life in the UK! I think this push to find extra income, start your own business and stuff like that, can put loads of stress on people... I am currently working basically 3 jobs and I am nostalgic when I think of old times when my 9 to 5 felt good enough and I could use my spare time just to chill ^ ^

In France, I did many differents temporary jobs. 9 to 5 is pretty cool, I enjoyed work 36h/day, and the 13th month paid, and the restaurant tickets/meal tickets.
I find the 13th month salary is a stupid concept , cause once a year, taxes take about the same amount) Surely just to play on people emotions : making them happy them they receive the 13th paid & making them angry when they have to give to the taxes.
Before the 35 hour law was here, it was 40 hours.
Fun thing is sometimes at high school, we could have up to 40 hours of lessons per week (children work more than parents, and they also have homework to do after school)
People who do not have a job can benefit from active solidarity income and financial assistance for housing. People who lose their job receive financial compensation for a certain period.
People complain because they spend their money on useless things they don't need & useless brands, they always want more, never satisfied, always complaining.
(Not everyone is an INTJ enneagram 5)
Now I am full time on RUclips for 2 years, I recently started to receive a disabled adult allowance.
People have no idea how lucky they are.
Would be great if all countries had the same advantages, no inequalities between countries.
