Hard to improve for Aryna as no other player in the tour can challenge her this way, forcing her to find absurd winners out of balance by running so fast side by side or pushed out deep , and every single time. With any other player Aryna today would have closed it 6-2 6-1. So she only has to wait the next 1vs1 and hope to be in the same beast modality that still wasn’t enough to win, even if so close.
Rybakina may not always make Aryna run side to side, but imo she puts more pressure on Aryna than any other player, including Iga. Only against Rybakina does Aryna commit so many uncharacteristic errors. It's just that Aryna's not-so-flat forehand does not take a lot of time from Iga's forehand which is why Iga is more comfortable playing against Aryna than against Elena. If Elena was Iga's opponent today, I'm not sure she will be lifting the Madrid trophy as much as I am sure she will commit a lot of forehand shanks.
@@tennisobserver995 well i cant’agree more about Rybakina, as much as Iga was one point away from Aryna as well. What i really love from Aryna is resilience, you can see she is so good in coping with pain and sufference.
Aryna's screams are rather on the excessive side, but at least she's consistent, unlike some screamers who do it depending on the match situation and the opponent.
What an epic match! Match of the Year quality. Big Congrats to Iga for finally winning the Madrid Open!
🎉
