One thing that is remarkable about Wendy's is how many different ways they managed to assemble two patties, cheese, and bacon.

True, but this is basically every single fast food joint. Taco Bell, Burger King, and McDonald's immediately come to mind. Same simple ingredients assembled differently.
I know a lot of people are like "oh the wendy's chili is just made with leftover cooked patties!!!" and like... yeah? That's a great way to use leftover cooked meat without letting it desiccate. I'm upset the last time I went to Wendy's (like... fifteen years ago or so) they didn't have any chili prepared because it was like 1 am
came to say this. i love the fact that they do what they can to curb the overwhelming waste of so much meat. i worked at wendy's and mcdowell's both and i'll just say i threw away significantly less cooked patties at wendy's
Didn’t know that, but it makes sense. It’s like McDonalds making the hash browns out of the small leftover fries pieces; reducing food waste is good.

Honestly I’m so glad he did this over a few months. I always feel like the ones done in one sitting start getting skewed ratings as they get to the end because of how gross it must feel to ingest all of these.
Really for accuracy, he needs to do each ranking 3 separate times in randomized orders and then average the scores.

In some of those videos I was always worried about his health, feels like there's no way you can eat 3 days worth of calories of all junk food all at once and not feel like shit for a few days. Glad he's moved to just editing the videos together.

I quit a few years ago and it took me a year to eat there again. Love that breakfast menu though, almost makes me wish I had stayed long enough for that.
Gotta give it to Wendy’s for being one of the largest fast food chains, but still have a pretty decent all rounded menu and then some. Sure, there are specialty fast food restaurants that do some things better, but when you’re in a rush, you probably can’t go wrong with Wendy’s.
Wendy's is the best fast food national franchise. (Must have a drive through, else 5 guys would be in the running)

Depends on your location. If it's poorly staffed then your food will more than likely be terrible. Lucky for me where I live the staff is amazing. Perfect fries every time 😄

This is giving me flashbacks as a former Wendys employee. Funny enough I haven't tried half of these but I've made most of them, either when working on the sandwich bar or prepping shit in the back. So if any of yall wanna know the DL on how some of this works, feel free to comment and ask. That said, unlike a lot of former fast-food employees, I will still eat at a Wendy's. Nothing traumatic happens during the process of cooking the meat, and I think the ground beef quality is genuinely p good (for fast food lol).
But god some of these fancy sandwiches are such a pain in the ass to build -- I was there during the rollout of the "temp fancy sandwiches going full time on the menu" and nobody did anything to help the increase of ingredients to juggle during dinner rush, so there was a 4 foot long counter space with 90 fuckin tubs of sliced veg/cheese, fried onions, so many sauces... the skill level absolutely had to increase or you would have a meltdown with 20 orders holding and other employees skittering back and forth around you in every direction because you're back to back with the fryers and there is very little space for the number of people moving around.
Weirdly enough working the grill was the easiest position, despite having to also handle the pan fried chicken grill and the pressure cooker, which led to a few burns on my arms.

The chicken nugget being only somewhat better than just apples kills me.
The sad thing is, the chicken nuggets used to be pretty good back when they first came out, but then they changed the recipe to be more like McDonald's. Unfortunately, they've very clearly failed to emulate the McDonald's nugget so now they taste worse. Compared to the breadcrumbs they used before, the new breading is just awful.
Wendy's has always had the worst chicken nugs imo, even if they're still scalding hot when I get them. I didn't even like the old ones before they changed them.

I'm surprised to hear the regular nuggets were bad! My girlfriend and I get McD's and Wendy's maybe a little too often, and more than half the time the McD's nuggets are like damp rubber and the Wendy's nuggets are really crispy and juicy. It must vary a lot by location.

I've had many chicken sandwiches in my day, and I've got to say Wendy's Spicy Chicken is my favorite. It's simple, but the spice blend is amazing. It has to be cooked perfectly though, not overdone. A hot, juicy chicken breast with that spicy breading is orgasmic.

idk what nuggets you got, but i can definitively say that wendy’s nuggets are A tier, and one of the best nuggets in the fast food market
they’re crunchy, but not overly so. the meat is white and juicy, and not at all stringy or fake like mcdonalds nuggets. plus, they’re not even that expensive, so you can get a shitload of them for pretty cheap
I was surprised when he said they were gummy and not that good. But I'm a believer in location so maybe he just got a bad batch of nuggets or they just don't have that good a quality. The Wendy's I go to is amazing and never failed to deliver a good nugget with me
That's more than I can say with McDonald's. They have good nuggets but it feels like only sometimes and I have to place a bet on whether my nuggets will be amazing, okay, or just bad. It's so inconsistent
The ones at my local Wendy's are EXTREMELY inconsistent, and often just taste like the oil they were cooked in rather than anything else
My brother and I were devastated when the Wendy's in Singapore, where we live, stopped operations. It was the only fast food place that we found the food to be A rank throughout, their burgers were ALWAYS served hot, plus that chilli con carne; and it was Halal - back when it was rarer to find burger places to be Halal. If Wendy's somehow finds this, please come back! Our country's fast-food eco system is much better now!
It's too bad this missed the Pretzel Pub Burger/Chicken Sandwhich. I still stand by that being the best thing Wendys ever had and they removed it.

while I was in college and I spent like a whole day doing classes, I would always get chicken nuggets fries and a chocolate frosty. I definitely got tired of it after a while, but I still love getting a chocolate frosty every now and then
I was shocked when the chicken nuggets wasn't an A+. Wendy's has always had the best chicken nuggets for me in terms of flavor and moisture (especially since white meat tends to be dry as heck). I find McDonald's nuggets bland with a horrible aftertaste and texture, while Burger King nuggets have enough flavor to be an acceptable substitute if I can't get any from Wendy's, though they are a little dry. I'm not arguing with your rating at all, because obviously everyone's tastes are different. Just expressing my surprise.

Former wendys employee here. The best meal you can get is a 5 dollar biggie bag with a double stack, spicy nuggets, a chocolate frosty, and upgrade the nuggets and fries to a large. Also do yourself a favor and get 4 packets of ghost pepper ranch for the fries, nuggets, and to dip the burger. Ate that shit every day for lunch.

The Dave's Double is the standard to which I hold all fast food burgers.
Most Wendys locations only have 2 machines this means you can only have chocolate and strawberry while strawberry is in season. they load a whole bag worth of frosty at a time into the machines so changing flavors means they need to get rid of gallons of frosty mix.

Late as hell to this video, but former employee recommendation for people who like texture in their ice cream: order a Frosty and ask for one of the packs of pecans they use for the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad. It’ll be a small upcharge but I used to do this all the time when I worked there

Thank you for making this video ProZD, my mom is going to Wendy's right now and I ordered some of the things that you said were in the S tier so I'm really hoping they taste good because I've only had one sandwich in the past 11 hours and I'm starving.
I used to work at Wendy's and they used to have their own "Big Mac" and the special sauce was just 1000 Island.
Leanred recently after moving that whether or not you think of Wendys as a good fast food or not depends ENTIRELY on your region. There's Wendys Zones. There's Places Where It Is Good And Places Where It Is Bad. They're mostly directional

By far the best quality fast food burgers
The reason the grilled is so dry in the salads is cause they make the salads in the morning before opening and that's all the salads for the day, so it sits in the fridge all day and can be carried over to the next day.
If they are dry for a sandwich that Wendy's isn't tossing them when they are supposed to, which is very common. So it sits in a heat drawer drying out.

I’m sitting in a Wendy’s right now and I see this video. The universe has spoken.
They could make the baked potato better by offering doubled baked so that the interior is a more whipped consistency.
Also best hack for chili cheese fries is order the chili, as for a cup of cheese, mix it with the chili so it melts, then dip the normal fries in it.
The bacon jalapeño cheeseburger hands down the best Wendy’s burger all time really wish they’d bring it back
So a couple notes and things I've noticed about wendy's over the years:
- Employees are meant to make any menu item (burger, wraps, probably potatos as well) in 7 seconds or less. That's dumb as shit.
- wendy's triple burgers basically don't fit into the foil wrapper. Sometimes you'll see it peeking through, or it'll be wrapped in 2 foil wraps.
- wendy's seems to have the worst QA out of any fast food restaurant. You need to make sure you're going to a *good* location to get actual good food. And which locations are good can change over time, too. If you don't like wendy's, you've likely tried it at bad locations. That said, the menu items are all over the place on how good they are, too.
- Wendy's is an enigma.

The crispy onions that were on some of those sandwiches are fairly new. They actually used to be onion tanglers instead, which were essentially less crispy onion rings, and they were way better imo
