Try this with a round ball shakey head wide gap hook with the screw lock keeper cut off. The ball head fits in the end of the tube a lot easier than the tear drop shaped tube head.
yup thats what i use too, but my hook doesnt poke through the bait.... it just naturally curves back up inside the bottom of the tube and makes it completely weedless.
hey thanks alot bro iv heard good things about this rig and wanted to see if it was effective and I will be going out for smallies on Tues thanks agian
just recently started tube fishing again after moving from river to lake... yeah I know "it's not just a river bait" I've been getting ALOT OF snags on rocks and grass so I really need to give this a try and particularly brand tube ( size too) and heads ( weight) keep in mind I'm bank fishing in from 15-3ft water it's end of summer and I work so much I can only get out right before sun down 7:30-9 till completely dark while light my best bites and catches come on Falcon lake (Watermelon / Texas Red ) strike king Craw tails and after dark Black/ blue strike king Craw tails both 4 inches.. I've heard Big Bite Craw tube are great...any tips or pointers would help God bless ya
So every time I try to "flip" the hook it tears the front of the tube. Obviously I'm doing something wrong but I'm following all the steps you instruct to a "T" and still tear the front end of the tube when I try to turn the hook.
I needed this 2 hours ago lol. Know I know. I'll be back bass✌🏻🎣

What in the world are you doing to prevent the front of the tube from ripping to shreds like it does for me EVERYTIME I go to turn the hook around.

Where did you get the hooks from?
Thanks Miles
Thanks
Is the line supposed to come out of the tail of the bait?
Quin Smith no
THANX FROM IDAHO!
Where can I get the tube jig?
What are those hooks called??
Finesse Anglers514 venom jughead's
That's not a 1/2in
That has to be the worst job of rigging a tube I've ever seen, lol
That's stupid
