I started windsurfing in 1982, and became totally addicted, moved to maui for a year in 1984 to ride hookipa everyday. Switched to kiting in 2002 and love it, easier on an older body. Now learning to wing foil at almost 60, its a challenge learning to jibe but still love the water sports learning journey. My best memories of windsurfing or kiting are from my early days learning and haveing progression with every new session.. Same now with winging, i will always remember my first six days on the water with a wing foil in the gorge. On my first day on my last session making it back up wind to where started at waterfront park launch was an awesome exhilarating experience, profound pride of an old body with a lot of injuries that can still try new things and have some success. Thanks for sharing this, love the talk and the footage. Larry
I watched once at normal speed and again at 25% of normal speed. There was so much going on in this video you don’t get the full impact of their athleticism watching as it was recorded. Tremendous talent on display here...thanks for taking us along.
I love watersports, being occupied in the moment but not really thinking at the same time. I love this channel and your commentary
01:34 - greatest and smoothest tack I've ever seen.
Spectacular...
Another incredible tack at 2:53. It looks very fast and his wing looks to have a very flat profile. Does the maneuver take above normal speeds?

Zen and the art of Wingfoiling.
Can you love a tack? Would have said no before 134!

who is the guy doing the tack at 01:36?
He should make a tutorial! 🙂
Ken Adgate, he did a wing clinic at the opening day event.
@@clayisland what i find even more impressive than the tack is the no footstrap air he pulls at 00:58 !
