to all the critics not liking bobby the thing is these people don't know what these musicians go thru to get where they are.maybe he had it easy but his dad didn't.his dad was music teacher which means he had to get a degree.you're looking at early 70's maybe 1960's.not too many Tejanos got a degree back then.my brother got a degree early 60's with my help and two more brothers.going from town to town every weekend ain't no fun after awhile.i tried and it got old pretty quick.in short I appreciate what this guys do cause I love Tejano music.
Gotta love Mr. Roberto Pulido y los clásicos! I also got to open up for Flaco Pulido with a band I played with back in the late 90’s. Good times. Bobby is ok, but I prefer to jam to his old man’s music
Thanks for the new upload! I enjoyed listening to it while I'm packing up my office to work from home until further notice🙄 Pinche Coronavirus screwing up EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY OVERTIME PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mexico City is bad ass...completely different from South Texas and Reynosa/Matamoros. It feels alot more connected to the rest of the world than the Valley. You live a king down there when you make that American dollar, there is so much to do.
Mexico City is a Cosmopolitan City, ranked up there with cities like LONDON, TOKYO, NYC, etc. No need to compare them to much newer or less industrialized cities/towns. Just as an example, Mexico City is about 500 years old whereas Reynosa and Matamoros are about half of that. And the RGV of course is even younger (newer) and much smaller.
Totally dude... Let him answer! Don't Interrupt...especially by answering because I feel like you influence What he's going to say. I wanna see how the people that you interview think and phrase things. It says a lot about their education, mentality ...just their way of viewing things. You can learn a lot about that person and make a connection. Meaning as like.. I get you! The whole point of an interview is to get their thoughts and views not yours dude. It's almost like going on a date and you have the 3rd wheel. You wanna get to know that person and what they're about. I just like to dig deep into people's body, hands, facial expressions and hear the words they use to Express and explain their answers to questions. And yes i know he had that cough. I had it too. You don't really feel sick... it's just an annoying cough that won't go away. I was told it was allergies. (Mine was.) I don't mean to rain on your parade!😬 I AM actually a FAN. 🙋🏽♀️
I think people living in the Valley have this misconception of Mexico and often,if not mistakenly, view Mexico through the optic of US mainstream media (It is not "let's go to border town Mexico to eat tacos"). Mexico is #15 world economy and rising. It has it problems but so does the US. Mexico City is on par or better than the Athens, NYC, Paris, Brussels, Tokyo etc of the world...
2:58 when he said…” over there, you can eat healthy!” LMFAO. I’ve only ever known him thin. Now his colleagues in the industry, on the other hand… Ahem! No comment.
Nice Interview Rock, what surprises me though is that both of you guys never mentioned his sister Alma, she also recorded a album around the same time he got his break. What happened with that? I know it was a flop, but why or what reasons.
Damn right your dads a legend! Bobby was meant to be a singer! I loved the video of him and his dad singing I love that song! I also saw the one they did recently the three generations that was pretty cool with Bobby’s son👍🏽
@@juanhernandez5009 so in your opinion "he doesn't really have it"....hmmmm..... for somebody that doesn't" have it" he sure has done well. Jealous much???
Different strokes for different folks. If some people don't care for his music, that's absolutely fine, but to judge him based on an interview is beyond ridiculous. Some of the comments come across as pure jealousy and envy in my opinion ....sadly, typical of the cruel world we live in. SO MUCH HATE All OVER THE PLACE.
Shoot. I like him just because he married a Mexican...And Not falling for a White women!!! He's representing cause Now our days all of the hispanics want to be white or black. Besides all women like a man who's confident. Wait ... did he marry a Mexican?
I agree with Bobby about healthier food in Mexico.
Great interviews Rock! I would love to see a movie or a series about tejano music scene back in the 80s and 90s!
That is one great idea 💡 😧
@@kristiancruz7202 I know! I doubt they ever do it but you never know!

Bobbys tone is not so nice when he sings. Just doesnt really have it
His voice is unique to me because it’s different.

Que te deje hablar Rock !!
👍
Never was really a fan of Bobby or his music. Just wasn’t my cup of tea, but now listening to him talk I can’t even stand him.
It's difficult to judge a person off an interview, but either this guy is ridiculously conceded or is a pill popper.
Danny Lamora both...
