Hi Becky, All the books you mentioned are interesting. I especially agree with you said about reading about the concentration camps. Three great ants were murdered in my family by the Nazis. So I collect these type of books despite the sadness. I haven’t read the tattooist of Auschwitz but as long as it’s a true story I will put it on my TBR. Have you read Rena’s promise? It’s about two sisters who were in the first transport to Auschwitz and it’s very moving but sad and happy at the end because they survived. I’ve been to the Isle of Mull During Summer in the 80s and oddly enough it reminded me of hawaii, at least the town that I live in, minus the ocean of course. So I am interested in your book about being lost because I felt that way until I came to Hawaii when I was 26. We’re all looking for our place of belonging. Our Ithaca. Many hugs sent your way. Aloha
Hello Marilyn, so wonderful to hear from you 🥰 Tattooist of auschwitz is a fiction, however, I added it to my tbr because it's based on real life and I feel like now is the "good" time to read it. I haven't read Rena's promise yet, no. Oh how lovely! I haven't been there yet but I visited Isle of Bute this summer and it was truly beautiful. I understand feeling little lost when coming to new place.. same for me when I arrived to Scotland few years ago. Sending lots of hugs back🥰
Island of Dreams sounds perfect! I will be checking into it. I have 2 books set in Scotland in my pile of possibilities for nonfiction November - Sea Room by Adam Nicholson and Ring of Bright Water by Gavin Maxwell. Looking forward to your thoughts on your reads!
Hm... it might not be non-fiction completely but so far I know it should be based on real story and not fictionalised way too much. I feel like now it the good time to add it to my pile. Thanks for watching :)
Super excited for nonfiction Nov! Good picks for the prompts!

Yeees me too. I am just in the middle of the book, beautiful nature writing! 🥰
I really haven't read very much nonfiction this year. I'm hoping to read more in 2023. You picked some interesting reads for November.
Thank you 🥰 Hope you´ll have a chance to read more non firction next year.
The tattooist of aushwitz is so good but very hard hitting. I’m reading three sisters by the same author in November 😊
Yes, I thought it would be... Good luck with that book Emily 🥰

I hate to mention this, but Tatooist is fiction. So you may need to find another book.
