I like alot of what was mentioned. Especially the bait feeding reels for deadsticking. It's a way under utilized tool. It's personal preference for me but no type of line has ever let me down more than fluorocarbon. It gets to chipped up and breaks to easily in my opinion. I am mono all the way. I will never use a quick snap swivel for anything. I can tie a knot fast enough that I would never ever use a swivel or snap swivel directly on my lure.
You said you were uaing flouro all the way thru. I'm sorry but what does the swivel do? Besides separate the line? Why not use flouro all way thru to knot? No swivel? Line swist?
Do you guys use normal open water Fluorocarbon or some sort of "ice version"........ I exclusively use Seaguar fluoro also and love it....... great video guys, thanks 👍
I think the ice fluoro is just more hydrophobic than regular fluoro so if youre using it straight, there wont be as much ice build up. If youre just using it for a leader, it doesnt matter.
Yes two lines in ice fishing. One line in open water. In Iowa you can get another line for $15.00 on your liscence. GREAT IDEA. MINNESOTA NOT THAT SMART.
@@barnfind1243 Yup, I sometimes fish one rigged up with a jig, and then two tip ups here in Iowa, I always just get the extra line even if I never use it. If tip ups are hot, I'll set up three of them and sit back and relax until a flag pops, haha.
38" rod will catch you so many more than a 32" rod; they can sense the rod length from below. OMG sell it dude; hoisting fish is not that technical, but I get it, your job is pitching having lots of gear.
I’ve tried everything there possibly is the fish here are just fucked 😂 stg all these tips only work on the Great Lakes where’s there’s way more fish than what we fish at our home towns
Great Tips!!! Thanks Nick & Brad!🎣👍
If you want the ultimate deadstick get a JT walleye snare with a Okuma baitfeeder spinning reel.
Can you link the quick release for switching spoons and the swivels you use.

On spoons with split rings… do you still use a quick snap ? Or do you direct tie to the split ring ? Thanks !!!

Why the swivel?
To stop line twist?
What type brand/size of swivel and does it damage the guides?
Ya link the swivel and quick release piece to switch spoons
ROCKSTAR thanks.... very helpful
Are there a decent amount of walleye in lake champlain under the ice?
Why the long swivel that goes into the rod?

Hey nick- I thought Minnesota was a "one line only" state- is that just open water fishing?????
