At first I was disappointed to learn that queen slime had no cool weapon or material drops, but a lot of her items have some great utility. The mount is best for moving fast and keeping your accessory slots clean of movement items, the hook is excellent for dodging attacks, and the slime balloons are great for creeping people out
This is one of my favorite mounts. Though I will say "just defeat your local queen slime" is not really an easy feat all of the time, but then again, that applies to the majority of hardmode bosses.
I think they all have their pros and cons. I like the santank mount though. It's a fricking tank. And it fights for you. What more could you want? It has double jump too. The only downside is you must play mustard mode to get it.
I actually used this mount up to moonlord. My strategy was to get a jetpack as soon as possible and with the combination of the slimes falling speed gain insane vertical momentum instead of relying on horizontal to beat a ton of bosses with suboptimal gear. I used the amphibian boots and one more frog-leg accessory and I was zooming.
I used that mount to fly over to his head repeat then barrage him with my vortex blaster, I have like a cliff on both sides and wait for him to come near before I fly over
It was still very strong, one of the strongest prior to 1.4, just not on its own (whereas Gelatinous Pillion has most benefits with little help). When combined and used in tandem with wings, the OG Slimy Saddle's doubled falling speed could make movement that simply isn't possible normally, plus it has the benefits of being able to rocket with a grappling hook and Featherfall, something that nothing else could do prior to 1.4.
I actually used this one in a lot of bossfights even after getting myself wings and the empress of light item that let's you fly forever. Being able to fall so quickly and glide is so good for getting out of a bad spot
Imagine having a mount that actually does what mounts were introduced for. Also, you should do a squishy bean vs gelatinous pillion video. I'd be an interesting comparison! :D

Since invisibility is banned, a lot of people use Vortex Stealth with Shadow Dye for almost complete invisibility Seriously, i dominated Pedguin's entire PvP section with a almost 30 player killstreak with that, with Sniper Rifle and S.D.M.G (Not meaning to flex or anything like im pretty sure anyone can achieve that with this set) Too bad your health bar appears during stealth, giving out your location if you're not at full hp
Because DG has balancing plugins and modifications, there's also banned items and accessories. Among them, I know for certain the Vortex and Shroomite Breastplates are banned to prevent their use of invisibility. I'm currently unsure about Psycho Knife, though. Edit: Psycho Knife was confirmed to be targeted for an upcoming ban by the head PvP manager on Dark Gaming.

There's this cool trick I use for the moon lord fight while I use this mount, if you spam the Pillion and hold up with an accelerating wing, you fly upwards super fast, very useful against the phantasmal beams
This mount is absolutely insane, as soon as I remembered this video and gave it a try, it basically carried me until post plantera on my Master for the worthy playthrough, you can even use it to kill Enraged Fishron on a very entertaining way when paired with balloons lol
it's funny when: Dashing then mount -KSlime: cancel momentumz -QSlime: keeps momentumz Falling +Both have fast falling, good for end game pvp when need fast falling (That the main use) yeah that it, thanks for reading

Yes, but the shrimpy truffle is an expert-only drop from Duke Fishron, which is multiple bosses harder than Queen Slime on classic mode, who is weaker than the mech bosses
This actually opens my eyes to many other possibilities. I love figuring out what accessories are most viable, and seeing that this mount covers all the options of movement accessories, at an at least higher than average level, it just blows my mind. This mostly covers the abilities of wings, boots and merlock, so if you're comfortable with a change to your movement options (while still being entirely viable in use!), then feel free to put whatever you like in those three new slots of yours! There isn't a good answer for that as all of these are featured on different tiers and can be used for different things. What point is to praise Witch's Broom over Dutchman if you can't get it before Plantera, for example?
@@CrabBar hmmm, if it’s depending on the difficulty mode differences then the ufo is the easiest Mount to get though that is not a definitive answer, if looking at just general usefulness and viability it would be the witches broom, if it’s speed then the Flying Dutchman would easily win but if it’s just about consistency in drop chance then it would be the cute fishron, like most comparisons in terraria there never is an indefinite answer is there? (Except for the planter boxes, planter boxes for the win!)
Winged Slime is the only mount I've used extensively, and it's all because of this video. Terraria kind of gives you a bad first impression of mounts as far as combat goes, since the Hornet feels sluggish, and the rest of the pre-Hardmode mounts can't benefit from hover boots/wings (obviously, you can dismount... but that's annoying to micromanage). The Winged Slime, though? It's practically made for me. Ground speed that I'm used to on foot, makes up for the lack of the Shield of Cthulhu by having a high acceleration, decent enough flight... Also, the Bundle of Balloons synergy it has is insane! The Slimy Saddle wiki page details a tech that transfers to the Winged Slime, where mounting immediately after a jump (including air jumps) gives you a height boost. Now, imagine such a height boost stacked across four jumps and then tack on flight... yeah, there are a lot of places in my world where I can just straight up reach my skybridge (granted, a lot of them require a grappling hook, too). Oh, also, while it's kind of inconsequential: the goomba stomp even deals summon damage and is boosted by accessories accordingly. Summoner is my favorite class, so that just give me even more reason to love this thing; not only do I have more space for things like the Pygmy Necklace and the Old One's Army accessories, but even my I-Frame attack gets boosted! What I guess I'm trying to say is... thanks for making this video. I wouldn't have ever had this much fun using mounts if I hadn't known that there was one that's perfect for me.

I usually use cute fishron since its the best at mobility if you have water spots set up in your world (like mine) and I have the EoL wings for quick dodging, so late-game it kinda falls off

I did this with normal eye of cuthulu with normal slime mount
My friend starts jumping on eye of cthulhu each time we summon it, then he kills it in the space and we have to wait for the loot to fall
It also does summon damage on its bounces so it can be boosted if playing as a summoner!

Don't forget that her armor drop (crystal assassin) is really good especially for hybird class and 25% movement speed.
By the time you’ll have beaten queen slime, you’ll already have a hardmode ore/spider armor, and those are just better

What I guess I'm trying to say is... thanks for making this video. I wouldn't have ever had this much fun using mounts if I hadn't known that there was one that's perfect for me.

I can't use this when fighting queen slime. I just use the blessed apple. Overpowered as frick if you ask me when going up against queen slime.

I usually use cute fishron since its the best at mobility if you have water spots set up in your world (like mine) and I have the EoL wings for quick dodging, so late-game it kinda falls off

I love queen slime Monte its so good i use it vs all boss in hard mod it make me go down faster and i kill the fish with it its make the boss fight ez but if you know how to use it bye
if you use red acid dye on both of the slime mounts you get a pewdiepie slime
