it seems that at some time, one has to accept the text, and get on with it.....bypassing anyone that has a different view....

His story on the okinawann history books reminds me of the joke that when you ask six rabbis about a Torah verse you get 7 opinions.

Does anyone know where to find the article of Greg Boyd he is referring to? And the book he mentions from Jon D. Levenson?

Every law set exhuds power over a people. Code of Hammurabi came before it that was a code of law. How can they say it came later that would be a lot of retconning.

Is it so far fetched to think there were not people who edited the manuscripts? I mean we see this in Mark 16 after verse 8 right?

Homosexual laws are moral laws grounded in creation. The other laws you mention are ceremonial laws and are fulfilled/abolished, except when general equity applies.

"You can't trust anybody." That is why after Jesus was resurrected he sent the spirit of God so we could talk to Jesus and find these answers. Man does like to study and pick apart and discuss everything ad nauseam. I'll keep watching some more as I'm not there yet.
