Temple of Angels - Foiled EP (2018)

Wonderful new darkwave release from Austin's Temple of Angels. I really like that the artwork uses an image of water because I really feel like this is that kind of music that washes you clean. The guitars are shimmering and epic as hell and the drums are perfectly urgent. This is a cathartic kind of post punk that I haven't heard in a long time. The obvious highlight here is the stunning vocal performance, not unlike the colorful voice of Elizabeth Fraser. Please check this out if you are a fan of bands like Xmal Deutschland, the Chameleons, Dead Can Dance, or even our beloved Sisters of Mercy.
