- Relax and take a ride as we drive around Downtown Charlotte North Carolina. The drive starts in the South End and travels through the city center / downtown before heading to Plaza Midwood and ending in NoDa.
This was my first time to Charlotte and I really enjoyed it. The city seemed to have a lot to offer and I was really impressed by all the bicycle infrastructure and protected bike lanes. I can easily see why this has been one of the fastest growing cities in the US recently.
A big thank you for all the likes, shares, comments and especially to all the subscribers! You are really helping the channel grow. Feel free to comment on what you liked about the video or what I could do better next time.

It really is!
Somebody watching??😇😇😇
I live in Charlotte and it’s great. However I would like to see a better public transportation system because traffic is absolutely atrocious during rush hour and our transit system doesn’t exactly reflect the size of city that Charlotte is. We need more rail lines to more places including the airport, more bus lines to more places, a subway in uptown to carry rail lines through the dense urban core, an underground bus hub (which is already being built in uptown which will replace the current bus hub), better bike and bus lane infrastructure (painting the bus lanes red like they do up north and having dedicated transit signals and bicycle signals at more intersections), a big intercity train station (we are getting one in uptown as the gateway station, which will carry possible commuter rail, intercity buses, Amtrak, and when the Atlanta-Charlotte high speed route is eventually built), and there needs to be a cap placed on the John Belk Freeway (basically making it a tunnel from church st to south blvd) to help improve walkability and high density affordable housing with needed accommodations and amenities.
Interesting take. It seems like Charlotte is making efforts in the right direction though with the public transit right? Thanks for your comment

A weekday. Tuesday morning if I remember correctly

Make a video of downtown Chicago.
I intend to soon. Any specific areas you would recommend outside of downtown?
70% of the buildings in this video are less than 4 years old, at 7:41 none of those towers were there 6 years ago…
It’s crazy to see how fast Charlotte is growing
Why are there not many people walking in the streets? Is it a car dependent city?
Ah, Charlotte. The wannabe Atlanta striving to be the next best suburb. It’s sterile, empty and boring. No amount of half empty office towers will ever fix that.
🥱You’re really grasping at straws here. Charlotte is the 3rd fastest growing city in the Country, and the 2nd largest financial city and center in the country outside of New York, and thus holds vastly more weight than Atlanta, and that’s facts. I noticed a lot of hate from deep down south when we took suntrusts headquarters from Atlanta and brought it here creating the nations 5th largest bank…that must’ve stung, I see y’all still sore about that.
@@MrMinimilsm Umm, being a filing cabinet for Bank of America and being seen as a second rate retail financial center (Charlotte is no global financial hotspot) doesn’t change the fact that the city is sterile, empty and boring. Charlotte has all the charm, vibrancy and culture of a wet blanket. By the way, I think Chicago might want to have a word with you about who’s the next largest financial center in America after NYC….just sayin’. Also, I’m not from Atlanta….or the south.
Aye, ATL isn't that much of a city yo...
Take that back about Charlotte...
@MrMinimilsm: oh wow, didn't know it was the second largest financial center
Was this a weekday or the weekend?
A weekday. Tuesday I believe
@@TheTravelDocket because come home a big city like New York that was a weekday man. No no traffic no people walking the street just seem a little different but I like the Charlotte area a lot.
