I'm confused. If the sequence is pinch-bass-D-high G-bass that's five beats in a four beat measure. Are you including a triplet in the sequence to fit it in? To my ears the notes sound like they're equal duration, so that's why I'm confused.
Having the same type of picking rhythm is why your the best teacher ..

Is that a Piezo Pickup in that Guitar? I'm still new to building and looking at the different sound types of sounds.
I believe it's a 'Lace' pickup. You can google it.
