im a chinese student and I very very want to learn this stuff but I have some problem . for example, overseas wallets and videos without subtitles (language barrier) so that I want to ask if there is any student plan for chinese mainland. bcause I think your course is great and it really can help me overcome my confusion about learning drums (oh my god! looking forward to your reply! thank you so soso much!
Thanks for making it! You break things down very well. Haven’t even started this video or finished the series but what you’ve talked about so far in the previous 2 has already given me so much to work with, and has helped me to better organize my improv tendencies and how to build upon them. Can’t wait to watch this and the next 2!
Ive never seen a series that is so comprehensive. I feel like im always getting pieces of everyones methods when i watch on youtube, but this is the first time i feel like im learning a method start to finish
Awesome JP, thank you so much ! It's hilarious it's all that i've been working on like exactly these past months, just clearly presented in a couple videos haha. I've been drumming for 20 years and had different teachers but i kinda had to find this myself, in the form you've presented here. Might add something really basic but essential to the core vocabulary. About the 6 and 3s, you gotta work with RRL as much as RLL for the 3s. Creates different variations and nice combinations with the 6s.
Check out Part 2 of this series for that exact topic. It's called the "Down-Up Method." For the 16th grid, the "downs" are 1.&.2.&.3.&.4.&. and the "ups" are the 'e's and 'a's. You want to jump from the downbeat track to the upbeat track and back end, at will, without losing beat 1.
Thanks for watching everyone! And thank you Meinl for supporting deep dive drum education!
thanks a lot!

Yes in his website he shows a lot of variations adding different groups of six's like the paraddidle diddle Rlrrll for example.
