Billy Corgan was the biggest star at the time so he came on last! You can hear Bowie's famous "I don't know where I'm going from here but I promise it won't be boring." Luckily for us the next years brought us Earthling, hours ..., Toy, Heathen, Reality, The Next Day and Blackstar.... Not boring.
Billy looks so proud to be there...it is so sweet. They are both talented musicians and clearly have a mutual respect for one another and a genuine love of music. Bowie is of cores the father of rock and role, but they are both the cat’s whiskers.
Love collaborations, and love this one by two of my fave artists. Love how Billy says "road race (or rage??) instead of the Cockney rhyming slang "boat race". Lost in translation across the ocean - brilliant!
the first rock concert I ever saw was Bowie at the Boston Garden, St. Patrick's day 1975. I was 15.He had just morphed from Ziggy Stardust to the Thin White Duke.Young Americans, which he was touring for,is one of the best-produced pieces of vinyl ever created..Reeves Gabrels, Bowie's longtime guitarist, is a genius in his own right. Bowie's decision to invite Billy Corgan to share the stage with him for 2 songs at this concert speaks for itself..And lets hope Bowie releases new material soon!!
one of my absolute favorite songs ever. billy corgan and david bowie. two LEGENDS... i love this song. its been on every single mp3 player ive ever owned lol
Eres el mejor David, el que no te ha escuchado no sabe d música te amooo, llegaste para cambiar mi vida🖤 siempre te echaremos de menos los que amamos tu arte
I have a large collection of Bowie vids on VHS and this concert is one of them. I still have a VCR (TV with a VCR built in) and I watched it the other day. I'll never get rid of it cause there of my David Bowie collection :)
I love this video!! I've seen Bowie in concert many times over the years, starting around 1977 and he is always amazing. I even saw him a few years ago and he was still great. Thanks for posting this!!!!
1975 Before I go to High School listen to Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Loved Bowie hated High School but his music helped me get through it.
First saw David on May 6th 1976 at Wembley Arena ( Thin White Duke Tour). Went on to see him on every major tour. Last time I saw him live was at Brisbane Entertainment Centre (Australia) on tbe Reality Tour. RIP Mr. JONES.
Hmm. Gooood. :) The two phases when he looked the better were, in my opinion, his Station to Station-plastic soul phase (around 1975), and the Outside-Earthling years(1995-1997). Love it. :)
What a great performance, Bowie & Corgan make an excellent pair, I never expected so much from that little boy without hair. And about the Corgan thing, please, David Bowie is David Bowie, just Bowie is better than Bowie.
You are comparing apples and oranges. meanwhile, the orange was influenced by the apple while the apple calls himself one of the orange's biggest fans. How can one be better than the other?
Is there concrete all around Or is it in my headBrother you guessedI'm a dude All The Young Dudes is as good a rock song as any written. Bowie the benevolent rock star that he was gave it to Mott The Hoople.

Heard that as well.
bowie's short spiky orange hair singing the Jean Genie, feels like 1973 all over again
? Corgan is an excellent songwriter. There's no need to compare. They're both great and do their own thing.

Thank you ksamer! Saves me from having to quote my books (including Pegg's)!
lol at the beggining when billy corgan sings different lyrics david bowie looks like he's thinking "yeah that'll work it sounds alright"
Maybe it's just me (And it really shouldn't be), but I'm quite certain David Bowie and Billy Corgan kick an overtly large sum of ass :)
Dave lives forever
@FollowersofDamu i have to be honest, i love boththe smashing pumpkins and david bowie's music. both leagues above most musicians
January 9, 1997 to be exact. The day after his 50th.
he looked great in 97 !
they really sound good together

You got me dead to rights.I spelled his name wrong. I now withdraw from the spelling bee contest I dreamed of.

A deadly combination!!!!!!!!!
Why in the world isn't this concert out on DVD?? Had it on VHS taped from the tv, but lost it somehow.
