Tesla songs were my anthem in high school from 87-90. I had all of my friends hooked on their music (thrashers, punks, skinheads', etc). Every song on the first 3 albums has a personal memory behind it.

I really appreciate this conversation, the sincerity of both of you. You've done very good explaining how things go, and why tickets are expensive (or not). I really appreciate also the thing you both have in common: passion for your work, over the money. It's not easy to be a good player but also a good manager too, even being the "ass hole" of the band. Sometimes these things must be done and certainly you bothe manager them very well. I truly loved this interview so much. One thing we don’t get enough of is interviews with successful entrepreneurs like you both talking about the business of the business so it’s fascinating to hear what goes on behind the glitz and glamour. I am a massive fan of both of you and both bands and to hear these firsthand experiences, with myself being a musician in a professional band (and fellow bassist!) its an amazing learning tool. In the beginning, when Tesla was selling platinum album after platinum album, all the guys really had to do is show up and play. Their machine did all the rest of the work for them. Now they are doing it themselves. I see that they are smarter, and honestly happier. I got to get Brian's book. I never new he wrote a book
I'm old school in the fact that if I like the music I will buy the digital download. I may check a band out on RUclips just to listen and see if I like the music.
Joey, you always bring the right people and you guys always have such great conversations, shedding so much light, never hiding the downsides of the story behind the music business, the failures, the nasty stuff nobody ever brings up in a conversation...love you man, keep up those great videos with all those beautiful guests coming- love from Greece, can't wait to hear all that new stuff coming from Manowar! HAIL and F@ckin' KILL!!!! 💪👏🍺🍺🍺
You have great and good points. It was a pleasure to see this conversation. You explained very well about ticket price and why the band can't control everything. It is really appreciated that you're back with words of power. Now you know what happens.... I'm asking you to do it again 😂
This was a great interview. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Very in depth. My only disagreement with Brian is,... And with any other band or manager that thinks this certain way,..is.. If I'm going to sign Tesla to a new album contract I still want to know are the songs going to be good! or are they just going to rest on their laurels from the past,... Because when bands change styles like 80s band going grunge or alternative ...the alternative kids make fun of you saying that you're just trying to fit in and they don't buy your Album, then you alienate the original fans from the Rock/metal side because you changed styles, so you end up selling a thousand copies and playing to 22 people in the crowd. So I definitely want the music to sound like Tesla and be Tesla! I don't want grunge coming out of Tesla. I don't want alternative coming out of tesla. I want Tesla coming out of Tesla! And the songs have to be that good. Like the first five albums. Or at least darn near close. But other than that it was great interview. I agree with 90% of the interview.
I think you’re 100% right in what you’re saying although what Bryan meant was they were the same band and they were the same songs and as you can see by his interview he’s not the kind of guy that would ever change what he’s doing with regard to Teslabecause they are just like AC/DC what you see and here is what you will always get to prove that that’s why he produces and plays in other projects in case he wishes to experiment but in principle you’re still right about the concept, so thank you so much for taking the time to write this great comment, and for your support, please subscribe to the channel and tell all of your friends to
@@realjoeydemaio I see. Thank you. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. I love Manowar! Definitely sharing this video with other people. My favorite new channel!
Oh very cool of you to say that thank you so much. I’m trying to build a community here so that everybody can learn from each other and what you have to say is just as important as what I have to say and I want people to understand that.
Nice talk! I always thought Manowar were aholes, canceling lots of shows and still claiming to do everything for the fans. The fans wanted that shows. But I now realized that they also have a huge resposibility for their crew. It's more than just the four guys in the band. Do I like canceled shows? No! But do I understand why they have to do this? Yes!
Friend, let’s be very clear we never canceled a bunch of shows we have chosen when it was impossible to do otherwise to inform my friends that we would not appear so the ticket monies would not disappear, and they could get their money back when someone reneged on their contract And we do do everything for our fans
It's so easy to download aka Steal music. I'm ashamed that I've done it and I hope that everybody that's doing it will stop. I realized that I was stealing my heroes hard earned money. We have to do better especially us Metal Heads who have the power to make change.
thank you very much and please tell your friends to join us. We’re trying to build a community where everybody can learn from each other and have a great time and any suggestions you have please send them along.
Tesla should have been bigger than bands like Bon Jovi or White Snake in my personal view. I guess it’s what you like. I have always thought they were so underrated!
The 6 months playing for affeas as city kidd for the air force must been perfect paid 6 months to gel as band getting real checks to start musta helped
Both bassists have been to the top and then the gradual decline in sales and attendance yet continues to this day. 95% of entertainment careers see. Up and down trajectory over their careers .
well, someone once said it’s not how many times a guy gets knocked down. It’s how many times he gets back up. I think that’s the moral to our stories. We’re going to keep on going for as long as the fans enjoy what we do nothing else is relevant in our lives, thanks for taking the time to write and thank you for your support. Please subscribe until all your friends to join us.
I love both bands but managing a band who is selling millions of records is not the same as managing a band that sells about 10 to 20 thousand records.
it’s not that much different believe it or not the process is the same it’s just like having a construction company that has 20 employees or construction company that has 100 employees or 1000 employees the bigger the business the more people you need to do the work, but at the end of the day, somebody’s gotta write the songs and make a record first after that, it’s just a factory machine that prints and sells but thank you for your comment and taking the time to write and for your support, please subscribe until your friends to join us
of course you’re correct but I was being sarcastic if somebody sells 5 million albums the chances of doing that are the same as selling 500 million albums but thank you for your support and taking the time to comment. Please subscribe to the channel and tell all your friends to join us.
What’s the deal with the constant rocking back and forth? On stage and off. Just curious if a medical condition. I’ve always wondered out of concern. Love me some Tesla and Brian sees to be a great guy.

Alotta you don’t realize be careful what you ask for you might get it,when you were Young wanted to be a rockstar tour and all these grandiose ideas ,but it eventually becomes a curse , and actually a lot of these guys lives were ruined and they would’ve been better off just working at 9 to 5 job for 40 years and have an a pension retirement and relaxing with wife and being somewhat content but alot of rockstar die early and are miserable. They’re broke and disconnected,I’ve heard of Many of them say it time and time again.
Thanks for having me Joey!

@@realjoeydemaio 🎸 Much Metal Love!
Didn't know Joey had his own channel.

Two legends 🔥🔥
Thank you, brother!
Once again top quality content! Thank you Joey!
You’re more than welcome. Thank you for the support.
Tesla should have been bigger than bands like Bon Jovi or White Snake in my personal view. I guess it’s what you like. I have always thought they were so underrated!
correct
I could use your help 😢
I love both bands but managing a band who is selling millions of records is not the same as managing a band that sells about 10 to 20 thousand records.
it’s not that much different believe it or not the process is the same it’s just like having a construction company that has 20 employees or construction company that has 100 employees or 1000 employees the bigger the business the more people you need to do the work, but at the end of the day, somebody’s gotta write the songs and make a record first after that, it’s just a factory machine that prints and sells but thank you for your comment and taking the time to write and for your support, please subscribe until your friends to join us
Brian was married to Sandi Saraya, super talented singer and super hot as well
He’s a rocker to the bone
Natural hair.
That’s correct we’re natural people. Thanks for your support.
5 platinum albums is 5 million sold not 500 million! Jeezus get it right.
of course you’re correct but I was being sarcastic if somebody sells 5 million albums the chances of doing that are the same as selling 500 million albums but thank you for your support and taking the time to comment. Please subscribe to the channel and tell all your friends to join us.

Great interview @realjoeydemaio ! So much Love to @Manowar @Teslaband
Tesla was different. They were honest and not posers (except Tommy). Great song writing, great tones, great production values and on and on.
Well said! And all completely true thank you for your support of the channel tell your friends to join us
What’s the deal with the constant rocking back and forth? On stage and off. Just curious if a medical condition. I’ve always wondered out of concern. Love me some Tesla and Brian sees to be a great guy.
like I said, he’s a rocker all the way to the bone and a brother and a big talent and a cool guy. Thanks for your support please subscribe to the channel and tell all your friends to join us.
They’re broke and disconnected,I’ve heard of
Many of them say it time and time again.
Great watch! THANKS GUYS
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great interview
