🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
In 2013, an outbreak of a mutant Cordyceps fungus ravages the United States, transforming its human hosts into aggressive creatures known as the Infected. In the suburbs of Austin, Texas, Joel (Troy Baker) flees the chaos with his brother Tommy (Jeffrey Pierce) and daughter Sarah (Hana Hayes). As they flee, Sarah is shot by a soldier and dies in Joel's arms.
Twenty years later, civilization has been decimated by the infection. Survivors live in totalitarian quarantine zones, independent settlements, and nomadic groups, leaving buildings and houses deserted. Joel works as a smuggler with his partner Tess (Annie Wersching) in the quarantine zone in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts. They hunt down Robert (Robin Atkin Downes), a black-market dealer, to recover a stolen weapons cache. Before Tess kills him, Robert reveals that he traded the cache with the Fireflies, a rebel militia opposing the quarantine zone authorities.
The leader of the Fireflies, Marlene (Merle Dandridge), promises to double their cache in return for smuggling a teenage girl, Ellie (Ashley Johnson), to Fireflies hiding in the Massachusetts State House outside the quarantine zone. Joel, Tess, and Ellie sneak out in the night, but after an encounter with a government patrol, they discover Ellie is infected. Symptoms normally occur within two days, but Ellie claims she was infected three weeks earlier and that her immunity may lead to a cure. The trio make their way to their destination through hordes of the infected, but find that the Fireflies there have been killed. Tess reveals she has been bitten by an infected and, believing in Ellie's importance, sacrifices herself against pursuing soldiers so Joel and Ellie can escape. Joel decides to find Tommy, a former Firefly, in the hope that he can locate the remaining Fireflies.
With the help of Bill (W. Earl Brown), a smuggler and survivalist who owes Joel a favor, they acquire a working vehicle from Bill's neighborhood. Driving into Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joel and Ellie are ambushed by bandits, and their car is wrecked. They ally with two brothers, Henry (Brandon Scott) and Sam (Nadji Jeter). After they escape the city, Sam is bitten but hides it from the group. As his infection takes hold, Sam attacks Ellie, but Henry shoots him dead before taking his own life. In the fall, Joel and Ellie finally find Tommy in Jackson, Wyoming, where he has assembled a fortified settlement near a hydroelectric dam with his wife Maria (Ashley Scott). Joel decides to leave Ellie with Tommy, but after she confronts him about Sarah, he lets her stay with him. Tommy directs them to a Fireflies enclave at the University of Eastern Colorado. They find the university abandoned, but learn that the Fireflies have moved to a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The two are attacked by bandits, and Joel is severely wounded while escaping.

You should've included 60fps along with the 4K in the video title, really helps out in the algorithm. Also, really looking forward to, how Bella will handle the Ellie killing David scene, as well as the "Everyone I've cared for, has either died or left me" scene.

The most touching part of the game for me was when after Joel survived being impaled, Ellie stepped up and took care of him. Hunted for food and nursed him back to health.

I hate how zombie games often don't even focus around zombies or people. Take dying light 1 or 2, how many times did they actually talked about the infected or showed some cutscenes that showed the infected being active? Very few, and they're only to introduce that type of zombie, no more. This game is perfect, just perfect. The zombies are part of the story, they're just not the main characters. They move the story, but not all of it. They aren't just for gameplay purpose, they actually move the catchers. That's why I hated the show:it totally forgets about the infection, the literal reason why the whole game exists.
I hope they make a game of Tommy and Joel surviving. What joel does for Bill for him to owe joel favors, how he meets Tess, Tommy leaving Joel, and how they get to Boston. First encounter with a clicker, bloater. Encounters with the military amd fireflies in their height of power.
Who knows maybe they’ll explore more of that in the tv show but don’t get your expectations up
And why Tommy says "I don't wanna ever see your face again" Joel did some dark things... Show us
Oh they will for a extra 60$ with 4 dlcs that are 50% of the game
That would be a great idea for a prequel to the first game. I was always hoping we'd see how Joel got to where he was after Sarah's death. Personally, if I was her father, I'd be hunting down his commander who made the call to kill my daughter. Why Tommy and Joel went their separate ways. What made Tommy not only leave Joel but why he left the Fireflys. Would be some great DLC. I'd pay the extra $50/$60 to play that prequel.
I usually get me a 5 piece from a KFC and blow out the toilet later for a good price. Get some biscuits put some Tabasco on it and I'm gonna rip ass like no other. God damn love me some KFC worst decision is eating there and not blowing out their toilet bc if drive home im speeding like a mf 5 min later bc I'm gonna explode. Run right through the garage door kick down the door and tear up my bathroom God damn no fun.
Holy crap watching Sarah die in this version is much more heart breaking. The way she rubs her blood over Joel as she's trying to hold onto him plus the new face animations is just haunting
I don't think a scene in a video game has ever gotten me more than once after watching The Last Of Us.
I would'nt ever think that Sara's death can hit me again since I watched it first time, It really felt it...

the part that gets me the most in this version is the tear that rolls down sarah's face right after she dies. i watched a side-by-side comparison of this version and the older one, and the tear is (i believe) a new addition. ugh it just breaks my heart. poor thing :(

Absolutely love Ellie’s face on the cutscene at 3:38:17, you can see her subtly smiling and a sign of relief about Joel changing his mind, facial expressions in this remake are fantastic

Some are longer than others but they follow a pattern of usually five or ten minutes.

The scene of Henry's suicide is truly something akin to modern art. The blood spatter reminding us that this is a game and that we are a spectator in all of this, but also, it has a mirror effect on Joel. In another world, Joel could have chosen to take his own life after losing Sarah.
I believe that, in one of the cutscenes, where they find the bodies of a couple who committed suicide in Pittsburgh, it is implied that he did consider it.

Those facial animations are so good. But seeing Sarah die with this level of realism was heartbreaking.

Didn't really need a sequel tbh. All that'd accomplish is spoil the first game. And it did. The ending was perfect. Not exactly happy, not exactly bad, it was just right. Perfect imo. My head cannon is that Joel and Ellie lived happily in Jackson. The sequel makes no sense that you can literally call it not cannon. The fact that you'd be able to successfully track someone down in a zombie apocalypse, is insane. At least Joel had a vague idea to where Tommy was at. But Abby knowing where Joel is, despite Tommy having left the fireflies and then moved to the most secluded area in the country is insane. And Abby on a whim travels across multiple states on this hunch and SUCCESSFULLY runs into them in just retarded. Her friends agreeing to that is crazy too. And you'd think that only Marlene would know Joel by name, not every firefly jobber, and especially the doctor would know who Joel even is. Tlou2 acts like he was some kind of celebrity, even though he and Tommy are nobodies. And he killed everyone who knows who he is at the firefly base. It's mentioned that that was their last stronghold. So literally everyone who knows about Ellie and Joel is dead. Fuck the sequel.

I know a lot of fans of the original thought this was a waste of money, and while I can’t play the remake due to not having a PS5, I was ECSTATIC when I saw the graphics of the trailers. The Last Of Us deserves all of the love and updates it can get, truly a masterpiece and it’s been elevated with the updated tech.

the way he calls her baby girl, the same nickname he gave to Sarah it’s just so heartbreaking yet so heartfelt too. the way he comforts her, it shows that at that point he has truly become her father figure.
I hope they do this sequence: 4:21:50 - 4:23:40 exactly scene by scene in the show, its the most brutal we see Joel yet and just how dark he can become when trying to protect himself and others

They kind of already done this. 50/50 chance they'll do it for episode 8 when David is introduced. But the beginning of episode 6 and a lot of similarities with that scene. Seems like they don't wanna show to brutal scenes. I hope they do David's death exactly the same tho

It's funny, the more I look at Joel's face, the more I see different people. When he's about to get shot by the soldier in the start, he looks like Tom Cruise. When he stabs the guy in the knee, he looks like Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, but when he tells Tommy that Ellie's immune, he looks like a mix of Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Man the ranch house scene always hits hard. One of the most emotionally impactful cutscenes I've ever seen in a video game.
This game gives me similar feelings to the first 3-4 seasons of The Walking Dead. But honestly... I think the writing is even better for this game

Though there is division on the face designs on many characters and changes in the environment, I appreciate that we can see more vivid detail in emotion. I feel that Sam and Henry's death could have been avoided, I felt bad for the brothers' tragic end.

Unless you mean the graphical update itself this game has always been rather accessible. A PS3 isn't a bank breaking purchase if you are saving up for one and that is the minimum requirement to experience this story.
If you did just mean the remake, the graphic update, as good as it looks, didn't change the quality of the story.

The first episode of the show did great with sarahs death, but theres something about the greater subtly of the games version compared to the sbow. Here, Joel doesnt yell or scream or anything dramatic, its just so raw and visceral. I always get choked up when he leans in to Sarah's body and practically whispers "don't do this to me, baby girl, don't do this to me, come on." That felt so fucking real.
The MUSIC is amazing. Santaolalla is one of a kind.

Henry’s death is much more impactful here now that you can see the anger and grief from Henry and the fear of Joel as he tries to talk to him. A great remake.. however not worth 70$ in my opinion.
