Hopefully they give mightyena an evolution or a form buff in someway. He’s always been a mon ive always liked

Agreed. Mightyena looks quite cool. But just like Dusknoir, "Aw, this Pokemon looks so cool, but it's so awful in competitive."
I am thinking about a Dark/Ghost evo based on a werewolf.
I miss using Mightyena in Ultra Sun/Moon. Everyone always had a sweeper they thought could set up on it, only to fall to Z-Snatch. 😈
What did z-snatch do?
@@Darkstar-ux5yo It raised the user's Speed by one stage and then if the opposing Pokémon tried to use a boosting move like Swords Dance that turn, the user steals the boost instead.
@@Darkstar-ux5yo This was especially useful if you saw a Xerneas or Mimikyu as most would expect you to switch because you're Dark Type and they'd go for Geomancy or Swords Dance, only to see the Z-Crystal activate in horror, you then proceed to sweep them, gaining Moxie boosts with each faint. 😈

Cool. I played sun and moon still gotta finish ultra sun. I got sun and my little bro got moon. I never really got around messing with the z crystals much but I liked how status moves gives you boosts in your stats.

You should do Chimecho, its cosmic power + stored power set allows it to deal massive damage and take hits at the same time. Recover can heal the damage and Tera fairy terablast to hit dark types. Weakness policy can be helpful with how much knock off there is. It's especially fun when they try to earthquake it lol

Love to see Mightyena. When I first got my Sapphire Edition I carried it all the way through the Top 4 as my main mon, creatively named Blacker.
Mightyena is just another one of those early route mons that's been forgotten by Game Freak over the years. Hopefully, it gets a mega evo if they ever decide to bring that mechanic back

Have you ever considered dabbling in Doubles, Haydunn? Something like this where you pair it with a Cresselia with Lunar Blessing, you won’t have the ticking timer from Toxic but still be able to benefit each turn from being Poisoned from the Orb and also the Quick Feet speedup! (as long as Mightyena doesn’t get Knock’d Off)
Doubles is boring and so are pokemon like Cresselia.
@@AFSKID I assume you only say it’s boring is because it’s more strategic and creative than singles, rather than singles which is just funny setup,spam attacks, kill, switch, but that’s just me I like both

I have a very neice strategy, you get a urserine, its a normal type so it jas stab on facade, it has the gits ability which boosts it attack stat when under a status condition, it has a decent 130 base attack, and you could potentially play on a doubles format and have a faster pokemon use a status inflicting move on urserine like willo wisp or thinderwave which would free up a item slot for a attack boosting item like a choice band. So you basically get maximum facade damage.

Been trying for years to get Mightyena to do something. This might be the gen for it to shine.
I played a randbat with Mightyena the other day, Tera Fairy with Play Rough Let me beat some good threats, committing the Tera on Baxxy after setting up a SD and going for a scale shot, regidrago, and on on too low of health to take a hit, took out a the final azelf with sucker punch.

Ik this might be a crazy way to setup but imagine toxic debris Glimmora , Cinderace uses court change to set toxic spikes on your team inorder for choice banded mightyena to sweep

i wish quick feet would make u immune to the attack drop from burn, it would be a lot better with flame orb as it wouldnt hurt it so much
Honestly what I find funny is I recently saw a video with Mightyena but with Moxie but I think your strat with quick feet is way more efficient.

I never considered putting a Colbur Berry on a ghost type. Knock Off is such a common move in VGC and having a ghost is the perfect bait for your opponent to use it. They use knock-off, you eat the berry reducing the damage, and now you don't have an item, so knock off does even less damage. It takes what would be a devastating blow to your ghost and makes it a minor inconvenience and it's all your opponents doing.
My first ever shiny was Mightyena, so I’ve absolutely adored it ever since
