As a new player, I appreciate the breakdown of the original core characters. I went with the new set, but it is good to know what the older versions excelled in.
@@TheGamersGuild Yes, but it also helps avoid many of the problems I've wrestled with in reference to collectible, competitive games. 1. It helps avoiding phasing out items you've purchased because they are rolling out more product. I see this in M:tG in their rotations as now the item you bought, know, and love to play is not viable in the current format. 2. It addresses power creep. When Heroclix came out, I loved it. Collected all the things and then... new characters came out and my original stuff couldn't stand up... so they fell behind and I needed to buy more to play successfully. Now this also addresses game longevity because they obviously evolved from their pilot sets, but by updating old figures with little tweeks to make them playable... It just speaks volumes. 3. Good will to your players. I've dipped my toe into Games Workshop. For decades. The fact is they want to sell their models. Gameplay second, buy our awesome sculpts first. MCP does this much better. Their models, while pricey, are still amazing. But by updating rules to make gameplay better without making you but a new model because they've totally revamped the playstyle of a faction or decided "lore" means an army now doesn't exist in the way the past 3 iterations worked... so you need to scrap a majority of your forces... or not scrap, but to be played legally, you need to buy all these things... it shows integrity as well as ingenuity. X. I could probably wax philosophical more, but I won't. I just want to say that a game that evolves, but does so in a way that considers their player base as partners instead of ATMs, is the best of all worlds. And I say that knowing that they've only introduced the tip of the Marvel Iceberg and can't wait focus my limited hobby resources into their product.
I wonder if thats also why we havent had announcement for the official printing of the new cards from last year yet in the form of a card pack? Waiting to include these new cards in there too
I have my own tin hate therapy that is due to them not announcing a card pack for the most recently updated modals among a few other things. I believe at Adepicon they will announce TTC adjustments ( changes to old TTCs) and maybe crisis changes also
Love the regular adjustments to characters to keep them relevant. Not so keen on having to either print the cards myself or rely on digital copies for games. I was more than happy to pick up the first card pack and really want to see another version with all of the changes since.
What Red Skull 1 needs is just cost removal from the blast and more importantly his power generating ability to get changed. He gets 3 power for the cost of an action and 0-5 damage. When compared to Red Skull 2, who gets 2 power for 1 damage, you can see that something needs to be done: either remove action cost and keep skull-roulette or keep action cost but reduce damage received to max 1.
It's not a direct buff to the core characters, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get a reprint of To Ash and Cinder and Illicit Tech but with the words Crossbones and Sin replaced with Brock Rumlow and Sinthea Schmidt.
Wouldn't mind a card release pack that just updates and corrects all cards. No, not PDF. I want want something I can buy and not have to do myself. :D /Clyde Dashing

It is always a good thing to keep past figures relevant.
Right, especially if they want the old stuff to continue to sale.

Interesting thoughts. Can't wait to see what happens!
That's just a theory....an MCP theory!
Love the content!
Lol! I appreciate it. Thanks for continuing to check it all out.
They called us crazy 😅 but now look at who’s wallet is empty….. oh wait it’s still mine
I mean, I wish I didn't feel this, but man Star Wars Unlimited decided to go for the gut punch.
Update whoever they want, just give me Dr. Doom.
Waiting for this day
Really hoping they do
Yeah there is also this lol
YES! I don't even love Dr Doom, and it still feels like there's a big Doom-shaped hole in MCP.

OooohhhhHHH The Conspiracy Grows!
I use OG cabal a lot so a new update affiliated box would be so good!!!

I really hope they do some updates like these to the old characters! I love having multiple versions of characters I like be playable.
Yeah New Skull and Hydra Skull are cool, but I would like OG Skull to have his place too!
I am fine if these theories come true. I just hope any new cards are made available separately.
I mean Aside from the Spider-Man 1 health bump everything with a significant change has been print and play.
@@TheGamersGuildI'd rather a card pack still though.

Someone else commented that they maybe held off on announcing a new card pack because they hadn’t finished all of the character updates.

Yeah I really wouldn't mind a lot of cards getting that rework.
Great hair cut!
Man…. I asked them to leave an inch and a half on the sides…. Thankfully still looks alright just not what I expected 😂
These are needed at least,
I'm hoping for an invaders affiliation
If any of these receives a buff, I sure hope my boy Kraven and Fearful Symmetry gets a touch up! 🙂
I feel like Kraven is actually quite solid, especially in Midnight Suns! Symmetry could use some love though.

I hope this theory is true!
You and me both.
Crossbones is soooooo sloooooow
