Fun Fact: Did you know that was the film's director Jon Favraeu voicing Leon the Snowman in one of the deleted scenes while in the final cut it's Leon Redbone voicing him.
I’m sure it’s just placeholder dialogue used until they got Leon Redbone to record the lines considering the character was modeled and named after him.
I personally think cutting out the extended meeting with Walter and the nun (which I’m guessing took place when Buddy first arrives at the Empire State Building and could be what the 2:00 his secretary was referring to) and meeting with Emily was a smart decision as the point of Walter’s character is that he starts out selfish and not really caring for anyone and not wanting anything to do with his son he illegitimately had with Susan Wells and his son from his marriage and his arc is going from being selfish to being caring and accepting Buddy as his son. Having these scenes in the final film would’ve undermined that arc and made his placement on the Naughty List and his son’s words “Buddy cares about everyone, you only care about yourself” less justified.
R.I.P. Bob Newhart, the actor who portrayed Papa Elf, Buddy's adoptive father and the film's narrator. Robert George Newhart (September 5, 1929 - July 18, 2024) By the way, Christmas Day is only 160 days. 🎄
Should have left the hockey scenes in the movie. They are some of the funniest. And Peter Billingsley came a long way from wanting a Red Rider BB rifle to playing an elf in charge of Etch a Sketch production...!!
Oh my God I can’t believe Walter really did something nice for the non-for once, even though Santa didn’t double check the list twice. But Walter can only help an innocent, elderly soul.

As an older person, I believe that this undermines Walter as a person. We are complicated and we all have our dark and bright side. Cutting out the positive sides of Walter just to fit a narrative that he's evil and naughty is depressing. It's like they wanted him to be bad. And every time he showed positivity they cut that out and sabotaged his personality.
1:45 Now what if Dave England from Jackass would be Will Ferrell's stunt double in that part lol!? And imagined deleted scenes for elf where when Buddy arrived in NYC and does weird shit, like running around a revolving door, nudging a guy next to him while his boots are being waxed, taking those papers, etc. And what if Buddy walks into an instrument store and sees a drumset on display, and he walks up to it and rubs his balls on the drumset and then people leave with disgust and discomfort, like "Ew, what is that weirdo?". And the strict store manager (Played by John C. Reilly for a cameo) shows up and angrily (Level 11) yells at Buddy to leave the store and never come near the store again as he bans him😂. And showing the whole body of Jovie when she's in the shower😂! And bonus! A crossover of elf and Bad Santa as they both released the same year as a fun fact! Could be the good time to run into eachother😂. And Buddy sees Willie as the mall Santa and Buddy was excited to see him until he got closer and like, "Who the heck are you?". And Willie's like, "Who the fuck do you think I am? I'm Santa Claus god damn it!". And Buddy gasped and said "Thats not very nice! And Santa would never speak like that!" And the kids have to leave due to his outburst. And Buddy notices he smells like cigarettes and alcohol, not Santa, and Buddy exposes him and get in a real fight😂. Marcus sure would be an angry elf to along with Miles Finch😂. Which Buddy would've been suprised to see that "elf" down in New York😂!
I’m so disappointed that they couldn’t keep these scenes in the final cut because they would’ve been really cool. But the movie would be much longer. Why couldn’t new line cinema keep these scenes in the movie it would’ve made the movie a whole lot more fun if they included these scenes 12:09

All I know is that certainly doesn’t sound like Jon Favraeu! I know it’s not Leon Redbone but it doesn’t sound like Jon’s voice!
Brsyn don't worry rats on my private part
Wow I didn't know that
I didn’t now that 🫢
Can’t believe this movie is 20 years old
What I can't believe is there were deleted scenes!
@@johnkarpierz9147 Every movie has them, but sometimes they don't choose to release them, like Home Alone 2.
i cant believe people hate this movie, and will ferrell
@@townfuneral4564 why do ppl hate it. Elf is my most favorite Christmas movie
Walter seems a little nicer in these extended scenes, probably why they cut these.
Walter gave the nun an extension???? My reality is altered forever.
Frfrr😮
How Walter was smiling when Miles beat up Buddy. Lol
I wish buddy would’ve built his own house in the north pole, where he finally fits in there perfectly .
Thank you for posting the whole deleted scenes from elf.
Our annual Christmas Eve movie, loved it again last night.
Going to watch it again this year?

Ok, you tend to ramble on just a tad. How about you try breaking up your one big sentence with punctuations for a change? Hmm?
@@matttestani8105 Or as Aaron Burr would say, “Talk less”. Yes, I guess I should.
Yeah, all of these were cut for good reason.

11:46 well you kicked, knocked his head, and got in a choke hold all for a misunderstanding and as a dude I think it's best to avoid the holiday malls
There were some deleted scenes that I felt could have benefitted in the final theatrical cut of the film and others, not so much.
Thank the Lord for the editors!
Why was he tree scene not in it
December 20, 2023. Merry Christmas.

Music: John Debney(2003)
Lyrics: Chad Begeulin and Matthew Sklar
Why did they not put the hockey scene in there
I dont know
@rjsquad5046 probably due to the film’s runtime or they didn’t want Buddy to seem like a naughty person.
0:40
It would've been pretty out of place if it was included in the movie.
Ikr that wouldve looked so good in the movie
Edit: thx for the like
It's also has the kid from Christmas Story in it
Buddy talks with Papa is actually in the movie.
Walter talks with nun also is.
So is extended tuck in.
Yeah I think some of these scenes are extended versions (the extensions are what was cut)
is it just me or I have all these scenes except the hockey one😭
I don’t remember 8:01
I would want the first half of the scenes added, up until Walter and the nun
Garfield: A Tail Of Two Kitties (Comparison: Theatrical Version - Extended Version)
COOL! Where did you find this?
Got it from the blue ray

Horace/Fat Kid: Wolfman’s Got Nards
Really?! That's the actor that played Horace in The Monster Squad?! I love that movie and I haven't seen it in forever! 😀
Why have I seen most of these
I swear some of this was in the movie
Most of these are on the dvd version
Yeah I thought I recognized most of these scenes from when I was younger

Buddys a unfair advantage !! 😡🔥🔥🔥

why’s there so much deleted clips
Someone at my work just brought to my attention that Leon backwards is Noel.
1:24 This sounds like the hurt sound from Half-Life 2 when you fall far.
When buddy talks with papa, it is in the movie
Yea but it got removed
Nah check it
ZACH SEAN
"No WONDER Im always freezing."
Same Buddy. Same. 😉😁
Buddy's cheating to knock the hockey players.
1:13 1:14 1:15 1:16 1:17 1:18 1:19 1:20
0:42 Aaaah!
0:54 I’ve never watched it- 🎉😂❤
So they had to use some CGI for Leon
Ricky Bobby?
If you ain't first, you're last! lol
11:03 the rare deleted alternate scene
This movie is already 20 yrs old 😮
My funny boyfriend buddy the elf
1:13-1:32 were so funny! Why didn’t they put that in there?
And the third scene is also in the movie
Honestly I wish they used all of the scenes
The Leon scene just doesn't look right unfinished like it's shown here.
1:13 I think they should’ve kept that in
Fun Fact: Elf is based in the same universe as the classic stop motion version of Rudolph the red nose reindeer.
How you know
@surrealpsalms you are correct
Thank F!
1:39 that’s not deleted I saw that in the movie when I watched it
No when he slammed the door in his face that was the deleted seen
Kuzen kuzen
I have all of these
But i rember the hockey scene
Most of these where deleted because they originally wanted everyone to bully and hate him
Dude that second scene is in the movie
Not that whole sequence. They shortened it down a lot for the actual movie.
Most were good cuts. But they should have left in the hockey scene and the Miles Finch fight.
The snow man looks fake
Well yeah, that was before that scene was fully completed.
😊 bu ne ya inanamıyorum ben buradan çıkar RUclips'dan
My boyfriend buddy the elf
