I vividly remember just sitting zombies screen on bo1 and 2. I was too scared to play them by myself but the titles were so cool.

I don’t think black ops 3 is unserious just because it included fantasy elements as it’s never really played for laughs. I’d go as far as to say it took itself more seriously than bo1 and bo2. In bo1 the ultimus crew are quite literally walking stereotypes and the victus are pretty campy as opposed the the primus crew who are all serious and have more depth to them especially when you look at the ending cutscenes for GK and ZNS both of which have genuinely heartfelt moments. Overall I wouldn’t say that bo3 is unserious it’s just bigger in scope and more theatrical. And also I wouldn’t even say the unseriousness of bo1 and 2 is even a bad thing because it’s sillyness is what made me and pretty much everyone else who loves zombies fall in love with it in the first place.
Bo3 was still unserious why would there be a floating alien in the air in zombies

Bo3 was very unserious. Bo1, bo2 and WaW are the most serious zombies games made by treyarch, bo3 and bo4 are just not serious at all besides a map or 2
I liked when they Implemented Eldritch creatures into zombies, it made the mode even more unique.

Cod zombies isn't what we all grew up with I remember it being a bit scary but now it is a huge joke turned into garbo. No offense to Cold war fans cold war was alright I prefer cod cw multiplayer local sorry but modern cod games except Cold war is nah don't even bother

Man I Would Love To See A Black Ops Zombies Mini Series Like World At War. Would Definitely Watch. Love The Content. Keep It Up 😊
I think we had these huge jumps in every game and got used to them it’s just bo3 had a lot of these huge jumps. Just for example we had a ray gun in nacht entirely a off the wall addition in this serious setting. Then bo1 we were introduced to time travel, these special devices for example the vrill, mpd (which they just found on the moon wasn’t built by us), focusing stone, gersch device. Imo those were huge jumps. Bo2 we were introduced to dimensions, and loops in certain ones, Rifts that would take towns for centuries ago and place it on a new place hundreds of years later in the future, then to see the crew wield staffs in a Great War which is obviously hundred of hundreds of years ago. Every game had a jump or huge shift in how realistic the story was. I just think bo3 gets most of the wrap for it because the style they went with sadly but you can argue they bo2 was the craziest shift in storytelling for sure.

Hey BOA, loved your vid, but I have a question. If people started wanting a more realistic and gritty zombies mode, why was WW2 zombies so hated?
I think the element with zombies between world at war and black ops three was serious, despite the atmosphere of the theme settings taking place with science-fiction (waw-bo1) and fantasy (bo2-bo3).
To sum it up when bo3 dropped it was in Halo style which was the wave during that time. So I get your point.. bo1 and bo2 had I would say 'conventional guns' or 'real' guns to put it simple. When I played Kino on bo3 I noticed the guns were in my own words, fantasy style (halo, out of space types). Not the good ol AK Uzi that you would see in real life lol. Also I gotta say you can jump 40 ft in the air on that game so this guy IS correct. Good eye.

i've watched BOA since i was in 1st grade, that was when every game was actually good. now there are NO new Black Ops games, let alone any ones on par with 3 and below, there's nothing to talk about. also, as @issacslayton7207 said, Treyarch needs to fix their basically only good current ongoing series before sledgehammer and IW bury it. (yes, i am saying treyarch carries COD, and even then they messed up slightly with BO:CW.)
what else is there to talk about? respectively, BOA is a COD Zombies targeted channel. It doesn't help that there's been no good COD Zombies in the past 5 years. the h3ll is he supposed to do? change to 360 trickshot compilation videos?
@@thechosenonedrewmcintyre well I don't blame Treyarch for what happened with Cold War, their budget was cut for BO4 and forced to help Sledgehammer and Raven on Cold War mid development, and take lead, so they were crunched on time.
Especially what happened after, having barely any development time on Vanguard and MWZ, forced to develop Ranked Play in every Call of Duty game, making 2024 cod, and probably the 2025, especially with the layoffs, they've been under stress for a while, so can't blame them, but either way they can still put out something that's decent-good.

I don’t think COD: Zombies was to be tooken the most serious, but perhaps the convoluted story line along with the change in game engine did lessen the preferable gritty look of classic Zombies seen between WAW-BO2.
Or maybe people just like fighting Nazi Zombie freaks of nature like WW2 Zombies. It’s up to your own opinion.

Cod vanguard zombies is considered to be the most utter trash zombies made by treyarch and look at mw3 zombies the treyarxh team announced that they are starting to stop working on it anymore since they can't go anywhere with it. Vanguard did bad cause the devs went about doing something new the wrong way.

@@demonblade198akaecho8 jesus christ bruh you must be those kids who either never played the old zombies or straight up sucked at it. for you to say 1-4 player characters is nostalgic and not fun is completely wrong. that's what made the zombies game unique. like give us 4 characters that give us a imapctful meaning to the modes story. why do you think the Altimus crew from bo1 actually made zombie content creators? tear up a little bit when they said their thank you and final goodbye in bo4 where the crew we knew actually had a final death in the game and it was a big impact.
cold war is still meh is more of a game that held players hands. and it was so ez you cant tell me its not and wasn't . sure cold war wasnt bad but like i said it just held players hands by giving them all this stuff and having perk upgrades you can be a shit player and still be decent at the game which i fine sad.
its also funny too because back then zombies didn't cater to the players it was a mode meant to be fun but also challenging . also, zombies were somewhat competitive why do you think there was a zombie round leader board back then. why do you think back in the day's groups of people would hop on aq Friday night trying to go for high rounds while doing the EEs.

I get what you're saying, I feel the same way. Game play is technically better, but it is just not the same. The dark grungy alternate reality of ww2 with zombies, with real life events mixed in just made it more realistic.
