It's where I scratched my seamaster: seating on the table of a restaurant after eating and waving my hands under the table where it was full of metallic screws and parts of the table construction.
I have both. My mission to earth swatch is fun but it’s a piece of plastic at the end of the day with absolutely nothing premium about it, not even worth 300$ IMO. My daily is the Omega - sapphire crystal and open case back showing the 3861 movement. You can’t even compare the two the only ‘real deal’ is the real one. It doesn’t feel cheap or fragile like the swatch. As long you don’t go around banging it like a maniac it will last a lifetime.
I wouldn't wear a watch that scratches ups pretty badly after the first month due to a soft crystal. But that's just me. Go buy a Casio, they're bloody legends

Had my ‘91 speedy pro moon watch restored to perfection by Omega a few years ago. It gets wound periodically, but never been worn. I bought a reduced as my daily and couldn’t be happier.
$300 can buy you decent quarz chronometers, probably even two of them. The Moonswatch isn't one. I totally accept it as a fashion piece, though. The obvious irony in that story is that if Swatch made the Moonswatch a reasonable quality quarz piece comparable to a Citizen, Edifice, Seiko or something in that price range, it could probably damage sales of the Speedmaster. Therefore, they had to make it a plastic piece that resembles a toy.

These watches are made to be worn. If you spend 10k to barely wear it you have no clue. These can be polished back to near factory new. People say you shouldn’t polish them, my father has worked with these prestige watch brands for decades and he debunks so many myths

Had my ‘91 speedy pro moon watch restored to perfection by Omega a few years ago. It gets wound periodically, but never been worn. I bought a reduced as my daily and couldn’t be happier.
Saw a Speedmaster for sale at a certified dealer in Passeig de Gracia at about 7k, 10k is a high valuation.

$300 can buy you decent quarz chronometers, probably even two of them. The Moonswatch isn't one. I totally accept it as a fashion piece, though. The obvious irony in that story is that if Swatch made the Moonswatch a reasonable quality quarz piece comparable to a Citizen, Edifice, Seiko or something in that price range, it could probably damage sales of the Speedmaster. Therefore, they had to make it a plastic piece that resembles a toy.
The Swatch omega is interesting but will never beat the speedmaster
I wasn’t aware of the $300 one!!!! I need to look into this. I absolutely love my omegas but I work on my car collection all the time and the bracelets are scratched all to heck. I’m sure it would all polish out but I wear them so I’m not that worried. But at the same time don’t wanna break a $8500-14000 watch even if those are cheap watches in comparison to lots of high end

At this price you might as well buy a metal chronograph swatch. It’s the same design, same price, but in metal
To be honest, i bought the pluto mission and I love the looks. Yes its plastic and very tacky but its mine. Its personal to me. I think people should follow their preference instead of listening to people 😇.
Moonswatch is wonderful for an everyday beater watch & still a flex I’ve got it in 3 different colors
People going back and forth about the price. The watch is worth 4200-5500 usd on the open grey market. 6,000-6500 in an approved retailer. Msrp is 7k. I just picked one up for just under 6 grand [usd]brand new well 6300 i think after tax at a retailer. So yeah know the market.

I'd prefer to wear the $82 Pagani Design version that's stainless steel + sapphire + Seiko VK63 movement + SS bracelet with micro adjust and on the fly extension. Despite the price, it's much closer to the omega than the swatch!

If your choosing the steel edition, remember your giving 700$ for the case and strap
The only problem with the omega switch, it made out of ceramic, so if you accidentally bump it or drop it, it will break crack.
