@@ExternusArmy fry scream* with some false chord distortion used ocassionally. Shads is one of the best to ever do it when it comes to technique, but he fried his voice touring like a mad guy in the early 2010s, and had some polyps and blood blisters develop in his throat which didnt help
The Kobra Kid they literally said they modulated it in the studio when they talked about how they made the song😂 just because he hit the actual note doesn’t mean they didn’t modulate it.
The Kobra Kid you’re wrong Lmao. Modern technology has made it so that a modulation can sound natural. You’re acting like this was made in the 70’s or 80’s
There's an F#5 in Blinded In Chains at 4:42, A2:s in the verses of Beast And The Harlot, F2:s in the backing vocals in Bat Country, spoken D2:s in Betrayed, G2:s in the background in Blinded In Chains at both pre-choruses, G#2 in the background in The Wicked End and many other notes you didn't include in this video.
The whole album range is D2 - A5 the lowest note is in Betrayed (seems like there's an A1 here but it's unintentional fry) and the highest is in Beast and the Harlot
Generally, you don’t count the exhaled/spoken fry notes since it’s not really a usable singing note. It also requires a lot of audio processing and EQ boosting to make the note artificially clearer. An example is the Rev’s spoken notes in Critical Acclaim where they straight up boost all pitches heavily at D2 and D3. Can’t really count it as a note if a computer is generating the note. The A5 is legit and definitely Shadows though.
@@ExternusArmyYeah, the A5 is FUCKING HIGH. But keep in mind, Matt was turning 24 the same year when he hit it and nowadays his highest note is D5 because he's aged and he can't hit the INSANELY HIGH notes he hit on this album anymore. I'm turning 24 this year and I can hit the A5 pretty easily, even though I have a lower voice than Matt. I can usually hit at least a B5 in head voice.
5:13 That scream is awesome!
Do you know how does he do it
vibrato + scream with high note@@gamajito2904

At beast and the harlot, at the final chorus there’s a voice harmonising the principal, and it’s incredibly high
I think it’s modulated.

You forgot the low notes on betrayed
Most people don’t count them since they’re exhaled and not sung. It’s hard to pitch but it is in the 1st octave somewhere.
This is missing the F2 backing vocals from Bat Country
