Went to Disney world for our honeymoon. We were super jet lagged and tired one day and fell asleep in the cafeteria area at epcot. We woke up like 2 hours later and the employees had put a tether to block off our booth. I got up and asked about it and the guy said we seemed super tired so they didn’t want anyone to wake us up or bother us while we were sleeping. I’ll forget a lot about actually being at the parks, but I’ll never forget that crazy act of customer service and kindness.
disney employees are genuinely some of the nicest people i've ever met. most of them seem to get into the job because they genuinely enjoy making people's day. (they're also almost all college students on the college program and are massively mistreated & underpaid but are yet to have their spirits broken because disney plucked them fresh and blind into their first job but hey ho)
This Micky Mouse needs to get a promotion or something. The way he was so worried about disturbing the man but was also so playful and in character for the kids around him is just so wholesome, we need more workers like this

You can see the person moving and twitching every time Mickey taps him. Probably what happened is a security guard or cast member walked up and said “Sir, the park is closing now.” And probably repeated saying that for ten or so minutes while the guy just moaned in his sleep or something until the security person likely got fed up and got other cast members for backup in case to forcefully remove him but got the Mickey mascot to try to keep the situation under control and prevent it from escalating if the guy got belligerent from being woken up. If the guy was found limp without breathing and didn’t respond they would have been mandatorily liable to call emergency medical services and report an unresponsive person to 911.

I was a stubborn Canadian kid, and wanted to wear my black jeans instead of some shorts that were too small for me (didn't have a lot of clothes, poor family). I didn't know how hot it was and didn't know how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, lol. I ended up getting heat stroke at lunch time when there were cast members hanging out with us and I had to be dragged to some grass and had water poured on me. I came to and had Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck shouting something to the effect of, "Ho ho! He's awake! That was a close one!". I couldn't stop laughing, it was so surreal.

This is funny to me on several levels. Here in Denmark, we had a band that was called Disneyland After Dark, but then Disney got a wind of the name and Mickey sent his lawyers. so now they are known as DAD. One of their hits is called Sleeping My Day Away. Lmao!!
